The purpose of this guided meditation is to go through how we are and how we relate to the events that happen around us every day.
If this is the first time you do a guided meditation,
The only thing that you need to do is follow what I say.
But it's not an obligation,
It's more like an invitation.
So I invite you now to sit down in a place where you won't be bothered for the next few minutes,
In a position that you can hold for a few minutes without having too much tension and without being too soft on the body.
The key is to not fall asleep.
There is no perfect way to do it.
There is no special or particular way that you need to be sitting or laying down if you want to.
And once you are in position,
Only stay here with me,
First acknowledging the body and how it is.
Notice if there is tension on different parts.
Scan through.
See if you are feeling cold or warm.
You want to only acknowledge it,
No need to change anything.
But if you do need to change,
See if you can very aware,
Slowly,
Do the change that you need.
One step at a time,
We are landing in this guided meditation.
And now acknowledging the sounds around you,
My voice,
The sound of your breath,
The sound of your heart,
And see if you can find any other noise around.
I invite you to close your eyes,
Gently,
Giving them permission to relax and explore how they feel.
Are they tired?
Are they dry?
Are they sleepy?
No need to change anything.
Focus now on your breath.
Acknowledge how it's doing.
Is it flowing?
Is it deep or shallow?
Move your attention to your mouth,
Particularly to the tongue,
And explore sensations,
Taste.
See if you can taste something that you have eaten today or yesterday or a few days ago.
And now move the attention to your recent events in life,
Whatever has happened,
And acknowledge them.
Acknowledge that they are here.
Acknowledge that they happened.
Or maybe they still happen.
And that is okay.
The first step to changing the events around us is to acknowledge that they exist.
This way we can become responsible.
And this way we acknowledge we are creators of our own lives.
By slowing down and checking in,
It's how we start to notice how they start to happen.
And moving the attention back to the body,
Landing again into the body,
Noticing how it is now.
Notice where you are sitting or laying down.
Become aware of my voice,
The sounds around you,
The place where you are,
Your presence,
The presence around you.
And when you're ready,
Open your eyes.
I hope to see you soon.
