Welcome to Heal With Shai.

Today's Heart To Heart talk is about finding possibility in adversity.

Last year,

When my father lost his job,

My mother became extremely ill and I wasn't caring for any employers.

I started spending all of my days in frustration,

Anger,

Sadness and agitation.

I wanted answers about everything all at once,

Every problem to get solved in one moment.

But in reality,

Productivity was at nil.

I stopped taking care of my health,

Withdrew from friends,

From social media,

From healthy food habits and from general well-being.

Adversities happen to everyone.

It happens to you,

To your parents,

To your neighbors,

Your friends,

The stranger you saw today and everyone around.

It has the potential to throw us off our balance at first.

It can break us or if we let it break us.

I know how challenging times can feel,

Suffocated and deviates us from our dreams or general expectations out of life.

We tend to go down a spiral loop once we let ourselves sink that feeling of hopelessness,

Defeat and exhaustion.

But I also know adversities create opportunities only if we pay attention to the moment we are experiencing.

I started pondering during those bleak months as we were struggling financially,

Emotionally and physically.

I often observed how I had built an image of motivating and reassuring my family during the tough days and how it gave me strength,

Faith and zeal to keep moving.

Gradually,

I observed myself repeating the same behavior with my friends and sometimes towards people I met on social media.

It was those observations that guided me to start writing my experiences out of daily real life and put it across a podcast through my voice to heal whoever listens.

I started writing and speaking exactly what I spoke to people around me to heal them.

Keeping my real self intact,

Letting my inner being extend its creative flow,

I started feeling relaxed after every audio recording and write-ups.

It infused in me a sense of accomplishment,

A sense of freedom from the ongoing suffering and pain.

It allowed me to look beyond the chaos towards something that became instantly popular with my listeners and readers.

To instill a certain positive change in someone through myself is what created a possibility for me during my adversity.

Here are some points for you to think over while you are facing an adversity of any kind.

First,

This is not permanent.

It is an experience that I must endure to learn in the best possible way.

We must be aware that every experience is temporary no matter how much longer it takes it is going to get resolved.

We can take a challenging situation as an experience rather than something evil that is happening to us.

Second,

What can I learn from this challenging time?

Observe closely into the situation and pick up any lesson that is generated within you naturally.

Maybe it will be useful for you in years to come.

Third,

What can I do during this phase?

Something that can help me create any opportunity for me or for someone else.

Try to merge your existing skills with the situation.

It could be anything simple.

Maybe you enjoy cooking and people usually compliment your dishes.

You could use that to prepare a wholesome,

Healthy,

Hearty lunch or dinner for someone who is sad or depressed or create a cooking lesson or just start healing people through good healthy food recipes.

Fourth,

Let me just take one day at a time.

Sometimes adversities can be extremely painful to even think about opportunities and you can go easy on yourself by slowing down and just focusing on that single day.

Fifth,

How can I be better to help others in this difficult time to ease their pain?

Try to self-evaluate during these times.

If you find yourself in pain with too much frustration,

Disappointment,

Anger or restlessness,

Try to work on it and maintain your calm,

Balanced state.

Sixth,

Let me just take five deep breaths for now and slow down.

Taking deep belly breaths for five to 10 times always,

Always helps to calm us before taking any decisions.

Not but not the least,

Seventh,

Let me just start tomorrow morning for a fresh beginning.

If today seems heavy,

Not motivating or sad,

Always remember you have tomorrow to start fresh.

That's all for today's Heart to Heart Talk.

Let's pause here till we meet next.

This was beautiful! I'm going through some harships that feel like a nightmare I cannot even believe and I always try to hold onto hope and the possibilities of something good to happen. So this was a beautiful reminder
