This meditation is an opportunity to connect with your physical body,
Coming into a comfortable seat or lying down,
Closing the eyes or lowering the gaze if it's safe and appropriate for you to do so.
As you start to settle in,
Take three deep cleansing breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth,
Allowing each breath to help you arrive here and now and in your body.
For this time together,
There is nothing to do.
Nowhere else you have to be.
There is only receiving.
So if you only hear part of this meditation,
That's okay.
You are still receiving it.
Your body is still listening to it.
Your energetic system can still take it in and your spirit is still supported by it,
Arriving in this moment exactly as you are,
With all of your humanness and all the complexities and simplicities of your life,
All of the circumstances,
All of the events,
Arriving with it all.
It is all a part of your field.
It is all a part of your experience.
And it is all a part of being human in this body,
Flowing into your natural breath,
Allowing it to be exactly as it is.
Travel down the body with your awareness,
With your attention.
This is soft attention.
Again,
This is a non-doing,
More of an awareness,
Starting at the crown of your head,
Allowing that awareness to gently float all the way down the body to the feet,
Noticing what you notice,
Feeling what you feel,
Allowing it all to be as it is,
Observing,
Receiving,
And being in awareness without judgment.
If there is a particular area of the body that is drawing your attention more than others,
Spend a few extra breaths there,
Letting the breath allow space for softness in that area.
Eventually,
As you arrive at the feet,
Bringing the awareness to the whole body,
And taking a few breaths here to be in relationship to and with your body.
What does it need from you?
What do you need from it?
Not thinking here,
Just letting something arise if it wishes to.
Perhaps offering this container,
Your container,
Loving gratitude for supporting you in your walk in life.
Perhaps marveling at the wonder that is the body,
These incredible vehicles that allow us to have so many different experiences in life.
How can you be in supportive relationship to and with your body?
Spending a few moments here to receive the wisdom of your own body,
Receiving the softness,
Receiving the support,
Allowing your awareness,
Starting at your feet,
To rise back to the crown of your head,
Slowly and gently.
When you arrive back to the crown of your head,
Letting your awareness rest in your heart,
Offering a few breaths of gratitude for yourself,
For taking this time to be with yourself and your body,
And offering a few breaths of gratitude for your body,
For your spirit,
For your humanness.
I'll see you next time.
Be well.
