I think it's really important to take simple tools to reconnect to ourselves,

To regroup so that we have the energy to move forward consciously and courageously.

Something that helps me when I meditate and am a little bit scattered is to visualize the chakras,

Their colors and their energetic areas of the body.

It can regroup us back into the center.

The chakras are aligned all along the spine and there are different colors and energetic vibrations and words and you can use them to check back in and realign yourself.

I invite you to sit up tall.

Place your hands either down on your lap,

This is very grounding,

Or up if you feel like you can receive some energy this morning,

Or whatever time it is.

I invite you to close the eyes and just take a few really easy breaths in and out of the nose.

It might come out of the mouth and that's okay too.

Wiggle around and find your center line as though you might already start to envision the colors of the rainbow along the spine,

Lifting you upright,

Creating space in all directions so top to bottom,

Front to back,

Side to side.

Just like a rainbow exists in the sky and this vastness of space with clouds moving around it,

The wind,

The breeze,

Let the breath move around this central line of your body this morning,

In this moment,

All directions.

Notice the sounds around you,

Any thoughts that might be moving in and out of your awareness is gently arriving back into yourself into the moment.

Breathing easily in and out of the nose.

We'll begin at the bottom,

You might envision like the feet,

Legs,

And the bottom part of the pelvis,

The color red,

The root chakra,

The element of earth.

As though you're rooted into the earth itself.

Just letting that color exist there.

Again,

It's the bottom part of the pelvis,

But you could also envision the feet,

The legs as roots,

The color red.

Moving up into the pelvis area below the belly button,

The color orange,

The element of water,

The fluid.

Again it's the color orange and it's below the belly button,

Below the navel in the pelvis area,

The element of water.

Moving up above the belly button,

Below the lungs,

The color yellow,

The element of fire.

It's breathing gently in and out of the nose,

Letting the color yellow flood the space of the abdomen above the navel.

Moving up now around the lungs,

The heart area,

The color green,

The element of air.

Just like the air moves through the leaves of the trees.

The heart and the lungs are so interconnected.

Breathing in whatever your heart feels in this moment,

Letting the breath be fluid with the color green in the heart area,

The heart chakra.

Moving up to the throat,

The color blue,

The element of space,

Space for the truth to exist,

To be spoken.

Color blue in the throat,

Breathing calmly in and out of the nose.

You might even feel the breath move in the throat area gently,

Like tiny but significant vibrations.

It's also called a ujjayi or yogic breath.

You might feel the inhale and exhale in this gentle constriction in the throat.

If not,

You just breathe normally.

Moving up now behind the third eye or in between the eyebrows,

The color indigo,

Deep,

Beautiful color representing awareness,

The third eye chakra.

Color is indigo and it's behind the third eye,

Right in between the eyebrows and the forehead.

Might envision it in the back of the head,

Just for a little wider view.

Just clearly seeing,

Perceptive.

The breath move through all of these colors.

If you don't remember the colors,

You can just envision a rainbow.

Starting from the pelvis all the way up the spine through the third eye and finally into the crown of the head,

A big bright light.

Bread at the bottom,

Orange in the pelvis,

Yellow in the abdomen,

Green in the lungs,

The heart,

Blue in the throat,

Indigo in the third eye,

And a bright light,

The crown of the head.

Letting the breath move fluidly within these colors,

Within the interior of your body today in this moment.

Inhale,

Exhale.

Just recognizing how all of the elements exist within each of us.

Earth,

Water,

Fire,

Air,

Space,

And a deeper consciousness.

So that we can see clearly ourselves and the world around us and one another.

From our shared interior experience of just being human.

Bring the attention back to the breath here.

Might let it be a little deeper if that's nice for you.

Landing the attention back into yourself into the moment.

Hearing any sounds around you.

It's still just aware of your internal world,

Just as much as the external.

Grounded and also spacious,

Receptive.

If it feels natural,

You can bring the hands together,

The center of the chest,

And let the head come down,

Just an acknowledgement of yourself for being willing to sit with yourself and reconnect,

Realign to pay attention.

Thank you everyone.

Have a great day.
