Welcome to your meditation time.
This is an opportunity for you to connect with your inner landscape,
To tap into your highest self,
To find calm,
To find stillness,
To find direction and intention.
We're going to begin today's practice,
As we always do,
With a nice,
Deep inhale through the nose,
Filling up our upper chest,
Our belly,
And then sending the breath all the way down to the root chakra at the base of the spine.
Nice,
Big,
Deep inhale.
Hold it at the top,
And then exhale,
Sigh it out.
Allow the eyes to close,
As you bring your attention to your breath again,
We're going to do three deep breaths,
Inhaling through the nose,
Filling up the lungs,
The chest,
The belly,
All the way down,
Sending the breath to your low spine,
Activating our center of stability.
Hold that breath at the top,
And exhale,
Sigh,
Let it go.
Great job.
One more time.
Inhale,
Nice,
Big,
Full breath,
Breathing in this life that we want to live,
All the goodness that surrounds us.
Taking a moment to pause and find stillness,
And exhale,
Release,
Letting all the little jitters go,
And allow your breath to return to its natural state,
With this gentle,
Soft awareness to the way that our body moves when we breathe,
This filling up,
And then this letting go.
Life is a rhythm,
It has cycles,
And can you honor the cycle that you are in right now?
Start to bring your awareness to your sit bones on the mat if you're sitting down,
Or your back if you're laying down,
Just feeling this connection between your back and the floor,
The earth that is supporting you,
And how do you feel?
Begin to really tune in to your inner landscape,
Getting curious about what is happening right here,
Right now,
For you.
Some days we feel extremely heavy,
Like a bag of boulders,
Sinking deep down into the surface,
We feel a heaviness,
And other days we feel like we are simply floating with this restful ease.
What is your energy like in this moment?
Are you heavy,
Or are you feeling light and airy?
No judgment,
Simply noticing whatever is coming up for you,
And start to bring your awareness to the sensation of your fingers and your toes,
Maybe give them a little wiggle.
How cool is this that we have fingers and we have toes?
Noticing what does that feel like?
Inviting the sense of awe and wonder in the small,
Everyday miracles that exist all around us.
Start to bring your awareness up to your belly.
The rising and falling of the belly.
Sometimes we can spend our days holding this really firm,
Sucking in.
This is your chance just to let it go,
Be soft.
This is our center of power and empowerment.
Our ability to make clear decisions without second-guessing ourselves.
Our center of confidence,
Purpose and direction.
Always exist within.
In the center of our being,
Visualize a golden yellow light,
Like the sun shining bright on a blue day.
Activating this part of us,
This drive,
This flame,
The fire that you are igniting right now that exists within you.
What images are coming up?
Are there any visualizations or thoughts that are popping into your mind?
Pay really close attention to those.
What do they want you to know?
Inhale the breath upward as you bring your focus to your heart center.
Is it open to live life with this open,
Trusting,
But discernful heart?
Or is it closed?
Perhaps there's a level of mistrust or grief or forgiveness that is asking for your attention to be worked through in an effort to soften and open.
And let's allow our heart space to soften and open.
Creating this landscape inside you for new life,
Love,
Opportunities,
And a kind,
Open heart that starts with the way you treat yourself.
And inhale,
Surrounding yourself with this green light,
Basking yourself in warmth and love,
Knowing that you are not exactly as you are.
And begin to bring your awareness up to your throat,
Our throat chakra,
Our throat energy center.
And man,
We can experience a lot of stuffness here.
Our ability to be able to communicate clear and effectively.
And truthfully at the right time.
This is our throat energy center,
And it is strategically placed in between the head and the heart.
Clear communication comes from our hearts being open and our minds being clear.
And start to bring some vibrations,
Some sounds,
Activating our throat chakra.
Another deep inhale as you bring the awareness to your third eye.
Inhale,
Release the breath,
Letting go of what no longer serves you.
Our third eye,
Located in between the eyebrows,
Is our center of intuition.
Our center of knowing.
What do you need to know?
What is being asked of you right now?
Are there any images that are coming through in your mind?
What is it that you can see and sense and feel in the darkness with your eyes closed?
All the answers you seek are already within you.
You just need to allow yourself permission to see,
To feel,
And to be still.
Start to ask yourself these deep questions.
What is that future self?
That you visualize for you without the expectation of others?
How is it that you want to show up authentically in this world?
Take a nice deep breath in as you send that energy up to your crown,
The top of the head.
I want you to visualize this white light,
Like a halo above your head,
That is sending everything we just journeyed through up to the universe.
We leave it up to the universe to sort out all those details,
Knowing that your life is unfolding in divine timing.
I'm going to close our meditation with one of my favorite poems.
Life is a garden,
Not a road.
We enter and we exit through the same gate.
Wandering.
Where we go matters less than what we notice.
The inquiry here is really to ask yourself,
How available are you to simply notice?
Notice what brings you energy,
What takes your energy away.
Notice how you're feeling moment to moment.
Notice those quiet little whispers that come up when we become still.
Where we go,
What we do,
How much we accomplish,
It matters less than what we notice.
What is the universe asking you to notice?
Lock it in with a final deep inhale and exhale.
Thank you for sharing your practice with me.
I'll see you next time.
