Welcome to this meditation on protecting your boundaries and learning to say no to increase your confidence.
I'm Sara Senecroce and I'll be your guide today.
Please find a comfortable position,
Whether that's seated or lying down.
And now gently close your eyes if that feels safe.
And let's start by bringing your awareness to the senses.
Notice the sounds around you,
The sensations on your skin and the support of the surface beneath you.
Really feel the force of gravity grounding you,
Connecting you to this world.
And now take a moment to think about a recent time where you felt frustration or stress or even resentment,
Where you were upset at yourself.
Feel it in your body.
Where do you feel it?
And now ask yourself this question,
Was there a boundary I could have set that would have prevented these emotions?
Perhaps you could have said no,
Or perhaps you could have been more diligent about your schedule or daily habits.
Maybe you could have accepted help.
Give yourself a moment to simply sit with any of the answers that come up for you.
Let go of any self judgments that may come up.
And now take a deep breath in,
Inviting in courage and strength and an enormous amount of self love.
And as you breathe out,
Relax and make a commitment that next time you will protect your boundaries better.
Repeat silently after me now.
My mental and physical well-being comes first.
I give myself permission to protect my boundaries.
I deserve spaciousness and inner peace.
Boundaries will not judge me,
But instead see it as a sign of confidence in my inner compass.
To treat myself with kindness,
I'll say no next time.
And I can do so with grace because I deserve spaciousness.
Keep breathing and let this release sink in.
And now just enjoy this moment of deep relaxation in your own personal inner sanctuary,
A place where you go to be connected with your higher self,
Secure,
Grounded,
You feel a deep sense of peace and inner love and confidence.
And now bring your awareness back to your breath and just allow your body to breathe for you with no effort whatsoever.
And when you're ready,
Gently open your eyes and return to the present moment,
Carrying with you this deep inner knowing that you are worthy and deserving of spaciousness and that others will see it as a sign of self confidence.
