This short, guided meditation (with music) invites you into the present moment through contemplation and breath. Supportive as both a morning or evening practice (or at any time of day) it has been lovingly crafted to guide you as you shift your focus and awareness from the past or the future, back into the present. Background music is Gaia by Insight Timer teacher Chris Collins (purchased and used with permission).

Hi beautiful soul,

Welcome to your time.

Today we're going to spend some time together,

Playing in the energy of presence.

As humans we can have such busy minds and such busy lives,

That we can very easily find ourselves flowing between past and future,

Skipping over the present entirely.

Perhaps if you're listening to this at the end of your day,

There might be things on your mind from the day that you've experienced.

Moments,

Thoughts,

Conversations,

Tasks,

Emotions,

Energies,

Happenings,

Exchanges,

That might still be in your mind,

You might find your awareness very much connected to past.

Or perhaps if you're listening to this in the morning,

Your energy is already a few hours ahead of you.

Perhaps your awareness is on what you have to do today,

How you'll fit in everything that needs to be done.

And so for this practice of presence,

I have one very simple question to ask you.

And I invite you to just notice whatever your first response is,

Allowing your intuition,

Your instinct,

Your unfiltered answer to flow to the surface.

And the question I have for you is this,

Where are you?

Where are you in this moment?

Where is your energy?

Where is your focus?

Where is your mind?

Where is your heart?

Where do you find yourself?

And if you find yourself in the past,

Just allowing yourself to put that energy down for the moment.

And if you find yourself in the past,

Just allowing yourself to put that energy down for the moment.

And if you find yourself in the future,

Allowing yourself to pause thoughts of what may happen,

And come back to the present moment.

Allowing your mind to become still,

Your body,

Your breathing to relax.

And just let yourself allow yourself to pause and just for this moment be present.

Just allowing yourself to receive the beautiful gift of this breath.

Allowing yourself to experience the stillness,

The calm,

And the clarity that is here for you.

Without the noise,

Without the distraction.

Letting everything drop away just for this one present moment.

Just take a beautiful breath in,

Breathing in peace and calm,

Breathing in presence.

Breathing out,

Breathing in peace and calm,

Breathing out letting yourself exhale and release.

Please know you can return to this practice whenever you wish,

With or without me.

Wherever you are,

Whatever part of your day you find yourself in.

Take a moment when you notice that you're distracted,

When you notice that you're rushing,

When you notice that you're worrying or busy,

And just ask yourself,

Where am I?

Give yourself the gift of three beautiful breaths,

Breathing into the present moment,

And then return to your day.

Thank you so much for sharing this practice with me,

Beautiful soul.

I hope it's supportive,

And I hope it's something that's helpful for you as you navigate your day.

Wishing you love and joy.

Namaste.

Most important question I was asked today: Where are you?

My mind was busy already this morning by the time I sat down to do my meditation. This practice was just what I needed to ground myself and take a few moments and silence and being in the present moment, so thank you Sarah. I really appreciate this short practice. 💛💛💛
