Welcome to this short guided meditation to help reset and recharge your whole nervous system.

To help you shift from a state of stress to a state of serenity and peace.

So gathering up whatever props you need to support yourself and then finding a comfortable position of rest,

Either lying on your back or your side or you can even practice sitting upright in a chair,

Gently closing down both eyes and allowing your whole body to start to soften down and release,

Relaxing all the muscles in your face,

Including all the micromuscles in your forehead,

Eyebrows,

Cheekbones,

And jaw.

Taking a deep breath in through the nose and then a big exhale,

Sighing it all out.

Again,

Taking another deep breath in and a big exhale out,

Letting your breath return to its natural pattern now,

Without changing your breath in any way.

Starting to notice how your breath is flowing slowly and steadily into your lungs as you inhale and then noticing the exhale,

Noticing all the air leaving your body as your chest and belly sink back down,

Allowing each slow breath to flow through your body like a gentle wave in the ocean,

Sending signals to your nervous system,

Inviting it to start to shift into a state of rest,

Your heart rate starting to slow down,

All the muscles starting to unwind and relax,

And your nervous system beginning to settle,

Creating space within your body and mind.

Listening to my voice as I guide you through this practice,

Absorbing whatever words resonate with you and leaving the rest behind.

If thoughts do arise,

Just acknowledge them and then let them go like clouds floating across a vast blue sky.

Drawing all your attention inward now,

Noticing any and all sensations.

As you gently scan your body with awareness,

Begin to notice any areas of contraction or tightness,

Simply feeling into any parts of your body that feel like they're holding on to tension.

And as you breathe,

Can you start to imagine gentle energy and softness flowing into these parts of your body?

Easing tension,

Releasing any holding,

With your next exhale,

Allowing your body and nervous system to settle down even more,

Tuning into your nervous system now.

And can you start to imagine billions of neurons spanning every inch of your body?

Endless pathways of connectivity helping to orchestrate your thoughts,

Memories,

Sensations,

And emotions.

This vast web of nerves controlling your heartbeat,

Your breath,

Your digestion,

All in an effortless way.

And can you start to imagine now a steady stream of energy beginning to descend from above and gently flow into the very top of your head?

This energy entering in through your head,

Starting to flow through all the intricate networks of neurons and nerve cells in your brain,

Flowing through all your cranial nerves,

Bringing in a sense of balance and calm.

Imagining this wave of energy flowing through your entire head,

Bringing you back into balance.

Now can you imagine that this energy is flowing down into both ears,

Flowing through all the sensory neurons in both ears,

Gently calming and balancing all the intricate network of cells that translate vibration into sound?

Energy flowing into the space between your eyebrows now,

Through the front of both eyes and into the back of both eyes.

All the nerve cells in your eyes releasing,

Softening back and down into rest.

Energy flowing through your nose,

Circulating through your mouth,

Flowing through the tip of your tongue,

The base of your tongue,

The inside of your right cheek,

And the inside of your left cheek,

Noticing all sensations in the entire mouth.

This wave of energy flowing through both sides of your jaw,

Down into your throat.

Imagine all the neural pathways in your throat,

Releasing and unwinding.

Imagine the energy now flowing into the center of your chest,

Radiating through your heart,

Restoring calm to the intricate network of nerves in your heart.

Energy flowing down now through the right shoulder,

Past the elbow and into the right palm,

Pausing here and noticing all the nerve endings in the right palm,

Feeling the warmth,

The soft tingling,

Imagining all the nerves recharging.

Energy now extending into the right thumb,

The second finger,

Third finger,

Fourth finger,

And fifth finger.

Entire hand filled with renewed energy.

Energy flowing back into the heart,

And over to the left side,

Down the left shoulder,

Past the left elbow,

And into the left palm,

Pausing here again and noticing any sensations in the left palm.

Imagining the energy flowing through the left thumb,

Second finger,

Third finger,

Fourth finger,

And fifth finger.

Every nerve in the left hand connected and restored.

Energy flowing back into the heart,

Flowing down the center of your body,

Through all the neural pathways in your solar plexus,

Your low belly,

Your pelvic bowl,

Your hips,

The tops of both feet,

The soles of both feet,

And then all the nerve endings in the toes of both feet,

Restoring all the neural pathways in the legs,

Feet,

And toes.

Energy now traveling up through the base of your spine,

Through the tailbone,

Sacrum,

Thoracic,

And cervical spine.

Imagining the entire spine and all the vertebrae unwinding and letting go.

Whole body now filled with this grounding,

Rebalancing energy.

With each breath,

Imagining your nervous system repairing and healing itself in a natural and effortless way.

Functioning in a state of balance and peace.

Resting here now and allowing this state of renewal and deep inner peace to fully integrate throughout your body.

Your nervous system feeling balanced,

Calm,

And restored to its full capacity.

Resting in this deep state of peace for as long as you'd like,

Where you can start to slowly and gently come out of the practice by bringing in some very gentle movements.

Taking a deep breath in through the nose,

And then a big exhale,

Sighing it all out.

Again,

Taking another deep breath in,

And a big exhale out.

Tuning into your nervous system again,

Just noticing how it feels.

Remembering this practice is always here for you,

Anytime you need to recharge your nervous system.
