Welcome to your meditation.
Come as you are,
However that may be today.
Wild,
Tired,
Curious,
Or soft.
In the next few minutes,
There is nothing to fix.
Only something to feel.
Now find stillness in whatever shape your body longs for.
Maybe that's curled,
Maybe wide open,
Maybe seated like a mountain,
Or maybe folded like the tide returning home.
Close your eyes if you haven't already.
Drop in.
Begin to arrive in your animal body.
And just breathe.
Not the delicate kind of breath,
But the real kind.
The kind that lives in your belly.
The kind that moves your ribs like wings.
Let yourself feel the weight of being here.
Muscle,
Bones,
Pulse,
And warmth.
Your body is not an object.
It is an organism.
A living prayer.
A creature of cycles and instincts.
Of shedding and blooming again and again and again.
Feel your aliveness spread.
Through your skin.
Through your spine.
Through the back of your throat.
And with each exhale,
Let yourself drop deeper into what is true right now.
Honest.
And without any need to name it.
Let your jaw unclench.
Let your hips grow heavy.
Let your spine sway just a little if it wants to.
Your animal body knows how to move,
How to rest,
And how to return.
So,
Can you simply trust that?
And bring your attention to the base of your body.
To your tailbone,
Your pelvis,
The bowl of you.
This is where instinct lives.
This is where life begins.
This is where your rhythm is encoded.
So,
Place a hand there if it feels right.
And silently say,
I'm listening to you.
Feel how your animal body breathes.
How your blood carries the moon.
How your skin remembers the seasons.
This is home.
Not a thought,
A body.
Not a destination,
A return.
And when you are ready,
Draw your breath up from the base of your heart.
And let it gather there like warm light.
Let it spread out.
Take one more breath as the creature you are.
Tender.
Wild.
And gently,
When it is time,
Reopen your eyes.
Carrying this intimacy with you.
Your cyclical nature,
Your quiet power.
Your body as temple.
And as truth.
And as a ritual.
As closed space.
For this meditation.
Gently bow your head to this intrinsic wisdom within.
