Prana is the life force or vital energy of the Universe! We all have Prana, and if we can use it the right way, we can provide deep rest and relaxation to our mind and our body. In this ancient practice of Yoga Nidra, we will move the Prana in our body in a way that will take us into the world of deep sleep, stillness, and relaxation.

I welcome you to this meditation which is Prana Yoga for Deep Sleep.

Prana is our life force and is the vital energy that permeates the entire universe.

In this meditation,

We will use this energy to deeply relax our body and to enter the world of deep sleep.

A very beautiful characteristic of this energy is that it is deeply loving energy.

It will enter your body and provide each and every part of your body and mind with deep love and relaxation.

Often we tend to feel that we are not loved and this is far from truth because this universal energy is love itself and connects all of us.

You and I are meeting for this meditation.

It means that there is a connection between us and I want to tell you that I love you.

Not only I love you,

But the entire universe loves you.

Before starting this meditation,

I would like to tell you that I will be guiding you through a practice which will involve some hand movements.

So for the time being,

I will request you to lie down flat on your back.

Later when I will prompt you,

You can change your posture if you wish.

Let's start with the meditation then.

Take your time to adjust your posture.

Keep your eyes open for now and focus your awareness at a point on the roof directly in the line of your sight.

If it's too dark and you can't see the roof,

Then focus your awareness at any point in the darkness.

Let your gaze be a soft gaze.

Don't strain your eyes.

Now gradually close your eyes.

Let's first set our sankalpa or intention for having quality sleep.

I will say the words of sankalpa and either you can repeat after me in your heart or just listen to my words.

It's up to you.

I give deep rest and relaxation to my mind and my body.

I give deep rest and relaxation to my mind and my body.

I give deep rest and relaxation to my mind and my body.

And now let's be thankful.

Many of us rarely remember to consciously thank the universe or God or collective consciousness or whatever we believe in.

So this is a good opportunity to do it.

Be thankful for whatever you wish to be.

I will be silent for a couple of minutes while you complete your thanksgiving.

Criticism,

ν€Έ You You And now you will bring our sankalpa into manifestation by visualizing it Visualize yourself in your imagination that you are sleeping deeply with full rest and relaxation See that there is peace within you There is a faint smile on your face while you are sleeping This smile is due to the deep relaxation that your mind and body has achieved Feel that peace and relaxation in your mind and body Feel that peace and relaxation in your mind and the whole body And now it's time to move the prana or energy in our body The movement will be such that in the end The whole energy of the body drains into the heart as our heart is the gateway to the world of sleep Now place both your hands below your belly with your palms touching the lower part of your belly Place both your hands below your belly with your palms touching the lower part of your belly As you inhale breathe in white light and imagine that the light is coming through your nose Passing through your upper body and finally reaching to your belly where your hands are placed And as you exhale you can simply breathe out air without imagining anything Let's start Breathe in white light And exhale And exhale Take three more breaths and breathe in white light to your lower abdomen Now place both your hands on your navel And take three complete breaths to breathe in white light to your stomach Take three complete breaths to breathe in white light to your stomach Now place both your hands on your solar plexus,

Just at the point below your ribs.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in white light to that area.

And now take three complete breaths to breathe in white light to that area.

Place your hands now on your chest.

Place your hands now on your chest.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in white light into your heart.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in white light into your heart.

Now move your hands upwards and place them on the top of your head.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in light to your head.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in light to your head.

And now please put your hands on your forehead.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in white light to your forehead.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in light to your forehead.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in light to your forehead.

Place your hands now on the sides of your neck with each hand on each side of the neck.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in white light to your neck.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in light to your forehead.

And finally place both your hands on your chest again.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in light to your forehead.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in light to your forehead.

And take three complete breaths to breathe in light to your forehead.

You can now shift the posture of your body if you wish.

It's up to you whatever is the most relaxed posture for you.

Now check if there are any thoughts in your mind right now.

Just be aware of those thoughts.

Imagine these thoughts as bubbles rising in front of you with each thought representing one bubble.

In your imagination burst or pop these bubbles of thoughts one by one with a slight touch of your finger.

Just in your imagination.

The gateway to the world of sleep is through your heart.

So now we will journey from our mind to our heart and into a place of silence and stillness where we will rest,

Relax and sleep deeply.

For this we will move our awareness from our mind to the throat and then to the heart and then into the place of silence and stillness.

So bring your awareness at the point between your eyebrows.

Gradually move your awareness downwards and place your awareness at your throat and the And now move your awareness further downwards and place it at the center of your chest.

From here we will journey inwards to a place of silence,

A place of stillness,

A place of pure being.

This place is deep within us.

Descend down to that place as I guide you.

I will be counting back from 10 to 1 and as I do so with each count imagine and feel as if you are descending one step into that place of silence,

Stillness and sleep.

Once you reach that place of pure being just relax there by simply listening to the music in the background for some time as you go deeper and deeper into the world of sleep.

Let's begin.

Nice. This is great for focusing on different parts of the body . Saqiib said that there’ll be time for changing my position from lying on my back, but I didn’t get that fast before falling asleep . This meditation accomplished it’s goal.
