Namaste and a warm welcome to you.
My name is Saqib and in this meditation I will guide you through a journey that will strengthen your connection to your own soul.
But before we start the meditation,
Let me tell you that what this meditation is about and how we will practice it.
I believe that it is essential to understand the concept and the technique first so the meditation is more effective.
Since our birth on this planet,
Almost each one of us has been conditioned to journey outwards for most of our waking lives.
We focus on the external world and our place in it.
We identify with our body and mind and call it I,
Me or myself.
And then we spend our entire lives defending this I,
Me or myself.
But there is something beyond our body and mind which most of us haven't explored yet.
Although this something is called by various names and different spiritual traditions,
I will call it the soul for this meditation.
The soul is our infinite potential.
It is the infinite energy field with unlimited possibilities.
And connecting to it brings immense power,
Bliss and purpose to our lives.
For connecting to the soul we will use a three stage process proposed by Dr.
Joe Dispenza in his book,
Becoming Supernatural.
In the first stage,
We will first identify ourselves as we always do,
As someone living somewhere at some time.
In the second stage,
We will give up this ego and then transform to no one,
Nowhere,
At no time.
And finally in the third stage,
We will transform ourselves into everyone,
Living everywhere at every time.
We will eventually become that infinite being that the soul is.
So without further ado,
Let's get started.
I will now request you to sit in a comfortable position with your back straight but relaxed at the same time.
Now gradually,
Close your eyes.
We will now begin with the first stage,
Someone,
Somewhere,
At some time.
So feel the presence of your body in your surroundings.
Imagine the space that you are sitting in right now.
Feel the air touching your skin.
Feel the weight of your body on the thing that you are sitting on.
Notice the smell in the air.
And listen to the sounds around you.
Bring your attention to your breath for some time.
Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
And as you do so,
Let your awareness follow the flow of your breath.
Take at least three more complete breaths.
Inhale through your nose and exhale through your mouth.
What is this thing that we call I?
Me or myself?
Where is it?
Is it in the body?
Where in the body?
Let's find this I in this body that we identify with.
Where in the body do you feel the presence of this I?
Let's start with your feet.
Check if this feeling of I,
Me or myself is in the feet or not.
Now check if this feeling of I,
Me or myself is in your calves or not.
Check that feeling in your thighs.
Check if this feeling of I is in your pelvis or not.
Check for this feeling of I,
Me or myself in your abdomen.
Check for this feeling in your chest.
In your arms and hands.
In your neck.
Check for this feeling of I,
Me or myself in your face.
Or is this I,
Me or myself behind your eyes?
Or is this feeling of I,
Me or myself in your brain?
Where in your brain?
Or is this I,
Me or myself just a thought?
Let's explore further.
Now we enter the second stage.
That is,
No one,
Nowhere,
At no time.
Observe your entire body at once as if you are watching yourself meditating.
Now ask yourself,
Who is watching your body?
If you can watch your body,
Then are you only the body?
If the body is the object,
Then who is the observer?
Now check if there are any thoughts in your mind right now.
Imagine each thought as a bubble,
Like soap bubbles,
Floating in front of you,
With each thought representing one bubble.
Now ask yourself,
Who is watching the thoughts?
If the thoughts are the object,
Then who is the observer?
And now in your imagination,
Pop these bubbles of thoughts one by one with a slight touch of your finger,
Just in your imagination.
Now you are ready to drop your association with the body,
The thoughts and the world around you.
You are no one.
You are nowhere.
You are at no time.
Now you are entering stage 3 of the meditation,
Everyone,
Everywhere,
At every time.
Imagine and feel your body surrounded by a ball of white light.
This ball of light surrounding your body represents your soul.
Now imagine the ball of light expanding and covering the entire earth.
Now imagine the ball of white light expanding further and engulfing the entire solar system.
It is surrounding the entire solar system.
And now expand it further and let it contain the entire galaxy.
And now let it expand to the entire universe,
Expanding further and further into the cosmos.
You are now infinite.
You are everyone.
You are everywhere.
You are at every time.
And now gradually bring your awareness back to your immediate surroundings.
Feel the presence of your body in the space that you are sitting in.
Feel the weight of your body.
The air on your skin.
The smell in the air.
And listen to the sounds around you.
Now wiggle your toes and move your fingers.
And gradually open your eyes.
You have become the soul that you are.
I would invite you to come back to this meditation to connect to your soul whenever you feel disconnected.
Lots of love and blessings to you.
Namaste.
