Hello,
Namaste and a very warm welcome to this session.
My name is Satib and I'm sending you love,
Blessings.
Thank you so much for joining me today.
Today's session is called becoming fearless,
Becoming fearless.
So excuse me,
Let's experience fearlessness today.
Let's experience some love today and let's transform our love with fear.
For those of you who are joining me for the very first time,
Special welcome to you and a warm welcome.
My name is Satib and fear is not something which is bad or which is something to be criticized.
Fear is necessary and the value of fear is that it makes us realize the value of love.
It makes us see that we cannot take love for granted.
A lot of times when we experience love in relationships,
We feel wonderful but then at some point of time we might start taking those relationships for granted.
But then when we experience some conflict and some separation in that relationship,
When fear comes in that relationship,
We realize the value of that relationship,
Isn't it?
So the fear makes us realize the value of love.
It is not something wrong.
It is something powerful and we can transform it.
We can transmute it.
It is the same energy.
You know Osho says that fear and love are actually the same energy and the same energy transforms.
It moves from love to fear.
The same love becomes fear.
The fear becomes love.
So we'll see that,
For example,
In relationships,
We have love-hate relationships with people where the person you love the most at some point of time,
You also hate them.
And that's the same love changing into that hate.
And then when you hate them,
Then there also comes a point of time when you love them.
And most certainly when someone tells you that they hate you,
The thing to know there is for sure this person loves you a lot deep down.
And that's why they have this feeling of hate,
But that same hate is actually the loving energy.
So hate and love are kind of two sides of the same coin.
The same energy of love changes into hate or fear and that same energy again transforms back to love.
So today's session is about that.
Today's session is about becoming fearless.
And let's begin then.
Liv says,
I have experienced hate from someone who also turned out to be an abuser.
In those cases,
There is no love.
There is just hate.
So yeah,
Absolutely.
I can totally understand that.
But I believe that deep down,
All of us,
We crave for love.
And actually because someone who is an abuser,
Someone who is a dictator,
Someone who abuses someone else,
Someone who has narcissistic tendencies,
Especially those people crave for love a lot and they don't get it.
And that's why they become desperate for it.
And that's why they would hurt others.
You know,
If you look at the history of any abuser,
If you look at the history of any dictator,
These are the people most probably who were who were devoid of love,
Who were denied love in their childhood.
They have this deep hurt inside and they don't know how to get that love.
So they use violent methods to get that love.
But deep down,
I believe everyone has a craving for love.
All beings crave for love.
So it is the same energy of love which is changing into hate actually.
You know,
Neil Donald Walsh goes to the extent of saying that every action is for love.
Even violence deep down is for love because when someone is doing violence,
They are so hurt inside that they are ready to hurt someone else.
And they they want to get things for themselves.
They want to love themselves.
They don't know how to love themselves.
They don't know the difference between actual love.
So they,
You know,
They go to they do things which do not make sense.
They do things,
Violent things,
Thinking that this will give them love.
But it doesn't.
So deep down,
Every action is is for love,
Actually.
And I have what I have realized is the people who are hurting,
The people who are abusive or people who are have,
You know,
Are dictators who have narcissistic tendencies.
These are the people who actually crave for love the most.
And they were denied.
And that's why they are hurt deep down and they hurt others.
If you look at the history of anyone,
If you look at,
You know,
If you look,
If you know,
There's a beautiful question again that Neil Donald Walsh,
You know,
Asked and,
You know,
I use that question every time is what hurts this person so much that they want to hurt me?
What's what hurts this person so much that they want to hurt me?
When I ask this question,
Whoever is that abuser,
Whoever is hurting me.
And when I ask this question that what hurts this person so much,
Then my perspective shifts.
Then I can then I can see that this person has a hurt inner child deep down.
There is this inner child inside this person that is hurt.
And when I can see that.
Then then I can then I can maybe at some point of time have compassion for that person also.
Not immediately.
Yes,
I understand that we do feel rage and anger towards this person.
And it's important to express that.
But ultimately,
We can I believe that we can forgive everyone.
Ultimately,
I believe that we can have compassion for all beings.
And this is how,
You know,
The great mystics,
Buddha,
Jesus,
Lao Tzu,
Whoever,
All those great,
Great mystics that we hear about.
This is the reason they had compassion even for their,
You know,
For their abusers,
For for the people who killed them.
Like Jesus had compassion for,
You know,
All those perpetrators.
This is how they have compassion because they understand why people do what they do.
They understand the deep hurt inside them.
And they have they have compassion towards that.
So the question is,
The person who has hurt you.
What hurts them?
Ask this question.
And I think you will see.
I think that the perspective will shift.
I understand it's difficult to see that now.
But let's do this session and let's see if we can start seeing that.
OK,
So what is fear?
Fear is a powerful emotion,
Isn't it?
Fear is such a powerful emotion.
It is something that we cannot deny.
It is something that is real to a lot of us.
Fear is this energy that grips us.
You know,
That makes us makes our heart beat faster.
That gives us stress.
That gives us anxiety.
That gives us anger,
Rage.
Fear is something that pulls me down.
It makes me feel limited.
It pulls me down into this physical world and it grips my body.
And sometimes I can't even move.
You know,
I've experienced I myself have experienced fear to the extent that there was a time when I was not able to move.
There was a time when I was not able to get out of the bed in the morning.
It was so intense.
It was so gripping as if there was this physical object placed on top of me that I can't move.
You know,
As if there is a there is a being in my presence that is holding me down.
That is sitting on my chest and pushing me downwards.
That is not letting me move.
It is such a powerful emotion,
Isn't it?
A lot of times when we experience this fear,
It makes it makes life really difficult for us.
So fear is an emotion.
It is absolutely valid.
And it is what it is what,
You know,
Is driving our society today mainly.
It is a very real experience.
It is what it is something that is exploited by a lot of politicians.
It is something by a lot of people who want to have power over you.
Fear is the best tool to have power over people.
And that's why there are religions who would make people afraid,
You know,
So that they can submit and surrender and do whatever the priests and saints are saying.
The so-called priests and the so-called saints.
And then the politicians will use that to to kind of control the masses,
You know,
Because they know that when there is fear,
Then you will submit,
Then you will surrender,
Then you will be trembling so much that you are ready to do anything what the politician would say.
Or even this is true for,
You know,
Capitalistic companies who just want to make profits and want to sell their products.
They would induce that fear so much inside you that you will tremble so much from within that you will shake so much that you will submit.
So fear is a great tool for people who want to abuse,
For people who want to control.
You know,
It is such a powerful energy that someone can induce fear in you and then control you.
So it's so easy,
Actually.
It's so easy.
So the question then arises that,
You know,
Who is making me afraid?
Who is inducing that fear in me?
If someone is doing that,
What's their agenda?
What's their goal?
That's the question,
Right?
If I see someone who is a fear bonger,
Who wants to induce so much fear inside me,
The question is,
Why are they doing that?
And if I'm submitting myself to them,
Then they have succeeded in generating that fear.
They have succeeded in that strategy of controlling.
It's a perfect strategy of controlling people,
Isn't it?
So when you are afraid,
When you are trembling,
Then you will do anything.
Then you will submit,
We will surrender to that person or that company or that government or that,
You know,
Whatever it whoever wants to control.
And then we are ready to do anything.
You know,
Once that fear has been induced,
Then we are ready to do anything.
Then we will buy any product.
Then we will,
You know,
Go to any extent,
Do anything.
So this is a tool that has been exploited by people who want have wanted to control over over millennia.
You know,
This is a tried and tested strategy.
So this fear is something which which actually,
You know,
Makes us submit,
Which makes us surrender,
Which makes us not think rationally,
Which makes us not feel intuitively,
But rather out of fear,
Just submit and do whatever the person is saying,
You know,
Who wants to control us.
So we can ask this question to ourselves.
If I have fear today,
First of all,
Where is that fear coming from?
And secondly,
Is there someone in my life who is inducing fear?
And if they're doing that,
Why are they doing that?
Do they want me to surrender?
Do they want me to submit?
We have to ask these questions,
Right?
Because fear cannot drive us.
If fear drives us,
We will never live an intuitive life.
We will never live a life of happiness,
Joy,
Of peace,
Of love.
And we will never even we will not make intuitive or rational decisions.
Our decisions will become highly irrational.
Our decisions will become very much controlled by fear.
And that's that's what is happening mostly in the world today,
Isn't it?
So it's important to see it's important to see fear for what it is.
It's important to ask that where is this fear coming from?
Where is this,
You know,
Where is this energy coming from?
Amy says marketing formula is to plant fear and shame in the consumer and then provide the solution.
Absolutely tried and tested method.
I'm so sorry you experienced that level of fear.
Oh,
Absolutely,
MS.
I think,
You know,
We all do.
We all experience and I have experienced that fear is something which I have contemplated on a lot because it has also gripped me.
And I think this is true for most human beings.
So we all experience that.
I believe that even the enlightened ones have experienced fear in some at some point of time in their life.
So fear is a very true human emotion.
OK,
So so let's talk about the different types of fears that we have and how we can how we can transform that,
How we can start living a life which is which is a life of love and not not based on fear,
Because if I'm living my life from fear,
Then I'm not living I'm not living a life which is true to my soul.
I'm not living a life which is true to my intuition.
I'm not not living a life which is which is based on happiness,
Peace,
Love,
Connection,
Unity.
So let's see how we can transform fears.
So what I will do is,
You know,
I will I will use the chakra system of the body as the framework to understand these different kinds of fears.
And for those of you who don't know about the chakras,
That's absolutely OK.
This session is not about the chakras,
But I'm just using as that as a framework to understand the different kinds of fears we have and how we can start transforming that.
So let's start with the base chakra with the root chakra,
Which is at the base of our spine,
The first chakra.
And the fear for this chakra is the most profound fear that we human beings live with,
Which is the fear of survival.
The fear of survival.
So first we are talking about fear of survival.
Now this is kind of the umbrella fear that we human beings have.
Survival,
Right?
Because we are our ancients,
Our ancestors,
They were hunters and gatherers.
And you know,
The fear starts from from them where they were out in the wild and they had this fear of being attacked by,
You know,
By other animals,
By other tribes or wild animals and they had to protect themselves.
So they lived a life of intense fear.
There was this fear of survival and that's why they had a habit of living in tribes,
Because if they don't live in a tribe,
Then they will be attacked by some other tribe or by an animal.
And that's why the life was about survival.
That's why,
You know,
A hunter or gatherer had to be very hyper vigilant and had to be very,
Very stressed most of the time because there was this fear of being attacked.
This fear of death,
Which is the most basic fear of survival.
And it is the same thing,
Actually.
So we today even,
You know,
We are not hunters and gatherers,
But still we kind of live in that fear.
And this fear of death has gripped us so much human beings that it drives our entire life.
We live a life even today which is kind of based on survival.
Although many of us might be living in,
You know,
In developing or developed countries and many of us might not have those fears of being attacked,
You know,
Apart from some countries which are where there is constant,
Where there are constant wars.
But most many of us,
We are actually living lives which are not that problematic,
Which in which we are not attacked all the time by someone.
But still we live a very,
Very fear survival based life,
Isn't it?
What we do is we,
For example,
We want to earn money so much and we want to work in those jobs so much with this fear of survival that somehow I will die or somehow I will not be able to survive if I don't have that much money.
And that's why we spend our lives just thinking about money,
Hoarding about money.
Many of us,
We are very money oriented in our lives.
We just think about money.
And we just want,
We are just focused on that and we don't think about anything else.
We don't think about existence,
The cosmos,
Raising our consciousness or anything like that.
Our whole lives is about money.
And this is especially true in the developing countries or in the third world countries because a lot of people there are not comfortable with finances or with abundance.
So there is this constant battle,
There is this constant survival mode where I am just talking about money all the time,
Where I am even working in jobs that don't nourish my soul.
And my whole life is about money.
But why?
The question is why?
Why am I too much focused on money?
Is it really true that if I don't have that much money I will not be able to survive?
Is it really true?
If we question that,
Then we see that it is not true actually because there are people,
There are for example monks,
There are yogis,
There are a lot of people who are minimalists who live a very minimalistic life and they not only survive but they thrive,
They are happy actually from within.
But why are we focused so much on this survival?
Why are we so much focused on money?
And then we praise those people who are so much focused on money.
You know we praise those people who just have focus on money and then they become millionaires,
Billionaires and they are like the so-called greatest people of our society.
Now don't get me wrong here,
I am not against money,
I am not even against any of the billionaires or anything but what doesn't make sense to me is when our whole focus is money oriented or profit oriented.
Yes if someone is making money as a byproduct of doing something good for the planet,
Raising the consciousness of the planet,
You know maybe you are doing some work which is raising your consciousness,
Raising the consciousness of the planet,
Making the world a better place and then the byproduct of that is money and that's okay,
That's fine.
But many of us,
Our primary focus is profits to the extent that we are ready to even harm others to get those profits,
We are ready to harm the environment and we are doing jobs which we don't like,
Which doesn't nourish our soul,
You know unnecessarily so much focused on profits.
But why?
So this is a very fear based,
Survival based living isn't it?
When we are too much focused on that,
It is like a trauma response that we are,
This fear of survival has caused so much trauma to us that now our whole life is about money and making profits.
It's actually a trauma response,
I believe that someone who is very profit oriented has the most trauma actually,
You know and we should have sympathy for them actually,
Who is very money oriented or who is very profit focused actually,
We should have sympathy for them actually because that is a trauma response.
So we are living this survival based living,
You know and we are so much afraid of others,
We are so much afraid of people that we have created this whole survival based life,
You know we live in closed units,
We live only with certain people,
We are only comfortable with our families,
We are not ready to connect with people outside or you know embrace other people,
People from other countries,
Other cultures or you know who are different from us and that's because we are very afraid and that's the first thing.
It's like we are that you know afraid,
If you look at an animal who is pretty afraid for example,
If you look at some animal who is ready to attack someone because of their fear,
We are like those animals that we live so much in fear that whenever we see someone outside a stranger or someone from a different culture,
A different country or a different place or whatever it is,
That's when we actually become very fearful and we are ready to,
We are ready to,
We are kind of we block ourselves,
We don't you know we don't share love with them,
We don't smile at them,
We kind of become very cautious about that person and we get into our shells.
This is a very survival based living again,
This closed way of living and mostly we are very afraid of death,
You know that's the basic fear,
We have a fear of death and we spend our lives just trying to protect ourselves so much to the extent that you know we stop living,
We stop loving others,
We stop enjoying life,
We stop celebrating life,
We stop spreading that abundance and love to others,
We stop enjoying ourselves and we are so much tuned to fear and that's when I am tuned to news channels most of the time because of this fear of death.
That's why I just want to know the news and unfortunately 99% of the news that is shown on television,
You know it is fear based so I just want to be tuned into that news which tells me that how many people are dying every day and you know where is crime happening,
This is a trauma response actually when we are so much focused on that but is that the reality that is the question.
Is it really true that there is 99% of the world is dark and is crime based the way it is shown in news,
Is it really true?
We really need to ask ourselves that question,
Is this news channel showing me the reality or is it just inducing fear inside me?
Because 99% of the time I see when I open this news channel there is this fear based news all the time,
Where is crime happening,
Where is this happening,
How many people are dying and all those things and when I am tuned into that then I will start,
I will create this illusion that this world is a dark place,
That there is just crime everywhere and there is just killings everywhere and people are just dying everywhere and I will create this illusion,
I will live in this illusion then and then I fail to see the reality,
I fail to see that when I go out into the world there is so much beauty in the world,
There is so much love in the world,
There are so many nice people,
Wonderful people in the world.
When I go out I see the flowers blooming,
I see nature,
I see the loving animals,
I see people who are ready to connect,
Who are ready to love,
Who are ready to help each other.
This is the reality of the world,
This is how most of the world is.
I agree that to some 5% there is a world where there are wars and crime and all those things but 95% of the world is not like that,
That's the reality actually.
So when I am tuning into this fear based news channel I am creating this illusion,
I am living in a hallucination,
I am living in this illusion and thinking that this world is a dark place actually.
So we really need to question that and secondly most importantly unless and until we overcome the fear of death we cannot overcome any other fear,
That's the base fear we have.
That's what drives our life,
Our survival based life.
And how can we overcome the fear of death?
We can overcome the fear of death by understanding death.
This is the reason that when Gautama Buddha whenever he had to include someone in his Sangha,
In his disciples,
He would first send them off to meditate on death for 3 months,
Meditate on dead bodies.
There is even a practice in Tibetan monks,
It is in the Tibetan book of the dead in which monks meditate on dead bodies.
They are made to first meditate on dead bodies because once we understand death,
That what is death,
That's when we stop fearing.
We fear what we don't understand.
We fear what we don't understand.
This is a line in the movie Batman Begins.
This is one of my favorite lines.
We fear what we don't understand.
What we don't understand we fear that,
It's as simple as that.
But once we understand it,
There is no way we can,
We will fear it because then we will realize there is no death.
There is no death.
The body dies.
We leave the body,
Yes,
But we don't die.
You cannot die.
You are eternal.
Your essence is eternal.
The one who is watching the body is eternal.
The body dies.
The body transforms.
Yes,
You know,
It's like switching a car.
You were in one car,
Your car is old now and now you are switching on to another car.
It's like that.
So once we understand that there is no death,
That's when we realize that why to fear it then.
In fact,
It can be something beautiful because just imagine you are in that old body and that old body is full of diseases and sick.
Now we are getting the opportunity to get in a younger body and maybe start fresh again or maybe not get back into a body and maybe get enlightened.
So why do we fear it?
Then also,
Maybe we can learn from people who have experienced it to a certain extent.
For example,
We can learn from near-death experiences.
When we in near-death experiences,
98% of the people report wonderful experiences.
They report that they felt expanded,
They felt unconditional love,
They felt bliss,
They felt joy,
They felt connection with other beings,
They felt connection with source,
With God,
Whatever we want to call it.
So if for most of the people it has been an experience of expansion and of love then why do we fear it?
And again,
You don't have to believe what I am saying.
Do your own research.
I like reading about near-death experiences because they tell us a lot about death in life.
So when I read that,
I found 98% of the people had wonderful experiences.
Yes,
There were one or two and there were few of those experiences which were dark because you know what state of consciousness we die in,
That's what we will experience actually.
But most of those experiences were wonderful.
So if they were,
Then what is the point of fearing death?
It's just like going from one place to another place.
It's just like transforming,
You know,
Leaving one car,
Moving on to another car.
So once we understand that there is no death,
Once we understand that it is the body that dies and transforms but the one who is observing the body stays,
Then we'll stop fearing it and then we will overcome this major fear of survival.
Our whole lives will change.
Right?
Our whole lives will change.
I want you to think about this.
I want you to ask this question to yourself if you can.
How will you live your life if you got to know that you are living for eternity?
If right now I tell you that you are going to live for eternity,
How will your life change?
Allow yourself to just think about this for a minute.
How will your life change if you had eternity to live?
If I tell you that you have eternity to live.
If I have eternity to live,
Then for me I will,
I think I will slow down.
I will relax.
I will not be so stressed about life and I will not run around.
I will be in the moment always.
And I will fully live life and experience love and enjoy and be happy and not worry because I'm here for eternity.
How about you?
How will your life change if you know in this moment that you will live for eternity?
What if the fear of death is also related to worry about those you care for?
Now a lot of people we care for who die,
They also experience something wonderful.
So when someone close to us dies and if we know that this person is maybe in a better place and this person has experienced expansion and love,
Then we will not also worry for them.
We will also not be traumatized by their deaths.
Because it is more difficult to live in this body actually.
This body is,
It becomes like a limited experience although we are unlimited but this body gives the illusion of being limited.
So we have this limited experience in the body.
So it is and then the body is sick in old age.
It is more difficult to live in the body actually.
But on death there is expansion.
There is something which is profound where you are unlimited then you are not limited in the body.
You are not sick anymore.
You are not in pain anymore.
So once we understand that for our loved ones then we will not worry about them also.
It's something which we will be okay with.
And that's why there are cultures where death is actually celebrated.
There is a Tibetan tribe which celebrates death actually.
It is something to be actually not so sad about.
Jay says I would change my profession and not be afraid to try because I can always fix it.
Absolutely Jay,
Isn't it?
We will stop living for survival then.
We will live to thrive and we will just do what we want to do.
I will focus on breathing then and just be at peace.
Beautiful V.
S.
Thank you for sharing that.
I wouldn't have anxiety.
See absolutely.
Absolutely.
So you can see that how all our stresses,
All our worries,
Everything will go away once we know this deep down,
Once we know this in our soul that we are here for eternity.
That we are for eternity.
Yes this planet,
This earth,
This lifetime might be for a limited time but why would we want to be on earth for eternity?
We want to have other experiences as well isn't it?
We want to also live on other planets,
In other dimensions,
In other bodies,
In other lifetimes maybe.
So why to stay here forever?
You know why to unnecessarily prolong life?
I don't understand for example people who want to you know just force themselves to prolong their life.
I don't understand that.
Why?
There is so much to experience in the universe.
Why would we unnecessarily put someone on a ventilator and force them to live?
You know they are suffering,
They are in their body,
Their life is already miserable.
What is the sense to prolong their life when they are living in pain and misery?
I don't understand that actually.
So once we understand this fear of death then we actually we can you know once we can actually stop living in fear.
We will start thriving instead of surviving.
Once you know you are for eternity then you will start just doing what you love to do,
What you know you'll relax,
You'll be in the moment,
You'll enjoy more,
You'll love more.
There is no worry then.
So this fear of death if it is driving our life we are bound to live a stressed life but once we overcome this fear then you know we live a life of love,
Peace,
Joy,
Happiness.
Moving on to the next one which is for the sacred chakra and for the sacred chakra we are talking about now the fear of pain.
The fear of pain.
Now someone,
Excuse me,
I think it was Ben who talked about you know I think you were talking about this ill health and body and you know disease and even emotional pain.
I understand that you know it is it is definitely something which is painful you know again it is something which is a traumatic experience to go through any sickness,
To experience emotional pain,
To experience physical pain in the body.
But what I have come to understand is that pain first of all is a teacher.
It's a teacher.
It comes into our life to tell us something about ourselves.
You know for example if I have some stress,
If I have some anxiety,
If I have some depression it will it has come into my life to tell me that something is not right about how I'm living my life.
And even if there is a physical disease in the body.
Now you know if we look from the western model and if you look at excuse me if you look from the pharmaceutical model then the physical disease will seem to be something separate from our mind.
But for a shaman or for older traditions for even older traditions like Ayurveda or you know other traditions other older traditions of medicine they know that the mind is not separate from the body and it is the mind that affects the body.
So it is it is our emotions it is our emotional state actually which manifests physical diseases in the body.
So if I have any physical issue in the body it is a manifestation of some deep emotional thing inside us.
Again we don't have to like you know I understand people start blaming themselves and judging themselves that oh I am responsible for my disease.
We don't have to do that.
No it's not about that.
It's not about judging ourselves.
It's about understanding the root of the problem.
And once we understand the root of the problem we can we can gradually heal it and transform it.
Yes it takes a lot of effort.
Yes it takes time.
But at least we know the root of the problem.
And you know it's about taking back control that you can transform yourself.
So you know Einstein give us that equation E is equal to MC square energy and mass are related to each other.
Energy and matter are related to each other.
Energy changes into matter matter changes into energy.
And this is true for our emotions in our body as well.
Emotion is energy in motion it is the energy and it changes into matter the physical body the physical.
So and that's why emotional problems manifest as physical problems in the body.
So so once we understand that then we will see that everything that comes into our life it is a teacher.
It teaches us something about our habits our patterns.
If there is an emotional issue that I'm facing it is telling me what you know if I'm if I'm experiencing stress anxiety depression it is telling me maybe to change the trajectory of my life to start living my life in a different way.
Or maybe if I'm experiencing a physical issue in the body it is also telling me about my emotional problems.
And I know you know I know that my my whenever I experience a physical issue and you know I've been experiencing a physical issue for about 7 to 8 months now.
And I know the source of the problem and I'm working on that.
You know I'm not saying it's easy to transform that and this scuff that I'm talking about it is actually an emotional issue.
I know this.
I know this.
And I also know the source of the problem.
But the good thing is once I know the source of the problem I can transform it.
So you know when we experience it is it is a great teacher.
And secondly pain is the launch pad for transformation.
It is the launch pad for healing.
We will not understand the value of health if we don't have pain.
We will not understand the value of you know we will not understand the value of happiness unless and until we face these challenges in our life.
Just think about this.
A lot of us who are who are healthy.
A lot of us who are healthy.
We actually we start taking that for granted isn't it?
We start taking that for granted.
And then we start doing things you know we start smoking we start doing start degrading our body or doing something or maybe living in situations which causes stress anxiety and then we get a disease and sickness and then we realize the value of health.
You know for for those of us who are experiencing some disease or sickness I think we will know the value of health the most isn't it?
And when we look at the healthy person you know we we see that how wonderful it is to be healthy.
I wish and then we realize it is the it is the greatest gift we can have in the world isn't it?
So pain is necessary I would say because if we don't have pain we will start taking things for granted.
So pain teaches us the value of health of healing.
It is also a teacher that tells us about how we can how what is the problem with my life and how I can transform it.
So if I am you know if I'm having a lot of stress in my job then maybe it is telling me to switch my job or change my job or get out of my job.
If I am experiencing sadness or depression in my relationship then it is telling me to move out of that relationship.
So pain is teacher pain is a launchpad for transformation for healing and that's why there is no need to be afraid of pain.
And once we start embracing pain we will overcome that fear.
We will face it.
We will accept it and we will use it as a tool for transformation.
We will use it as a launchpad for for growth and transformation.
So embrace let's embrace our pain.
Let's once we embrace that pain once we look at that pain once we understand that pain it becomes a reason for our transformation.
And that's why a lot of people you know who have experienced some some major health issues they have eventually transformed their life.
I transformed my life after experiencing a health issue.
So you know 10 years ago I think for those of you who have been doing sessions with me will know my story.
I experienced high blood pressure heart palpitations high blood pressure and that's what made me go into meditation.
And just think about this if that wouldn't have happened to me I would not have been here today doing what I really love to do with you sitting in the session here today with you.
Right.
So is pain bad then no it is not.
It is it is beautiful.
I'm so glad that I had that high blood pressure and that you know that pain which which brought me here to this situation here and I'm so grateful for it.
I'm so grateful for it.
So pain is good.
Let's not fear it.
Let's embrace it understand it and then transform it.
Thank you so much for sharing all those all those loving comments.
Thank you so much.
Okay moving on to the next one which is for the solar plexus chakra and for the solar plexus chakra the fear is the solar plexus chakra is located just below your excuse me just below your rib cage.
The fear is the fear of abandonment.
The fear of abandonment.
Now the fear of abandonment is very much linked to the fear of death the fear of survival because you know as I said earlier in those tribes when people you know were hunters and gatherers they would not be they would not like to be left out by the tribe because if they were left out by the tribe guess what would happen.
They will be attacked by some other tribe.
They will be eaten by an animal.
So that's why we know there was this huge tribal culture where people had to live closely in tribes and they had they developed this strong fear of abandonment.
Now even today we have this fear of abandonment where we are so concerned about you know trying to fit in with this society.
We are so concerned about trying to fit in with the society that we totally change ourselves.
We live a false life.
We we become who we are not actually.
And then we do things that the society wants us to do.
And then we do things like you know I will do a job just because I want to be accepted by the society because I don't if I don't work in the corporate then I will not be accepted by the society.
So I work in the corporate for that.
Or maybe if I am you know not living not earning that much money then I will not be accepted by the society.
And that's why then my whole focus is on earning money.
And maybe when I am not you know living the way society lives we maybe when I'm not getting married or anything like that because the society is getting married then I will maybe just get married because the society is doing it.
Maybe I don't want to but I will do it because the society is doing it because I want to be accepted by the society because and then maybe I'm following that religion because my community is following and then I'm afraid to leave it because you know my what will my society my community think and I will be abandoned.
So all those fears again I'm not saying those are invalid they are valid fears.
But the point is that they are exaggerated fears and we can actually now overcome that.
We don't live in a society anymore where you will die if you are living alone or if you are not doing things what the society wants you to do.
Again this is I can say this because this is a part of my experience.
This is what I have done in my life.
I was a part of a community which had certain belief systems.
I did not subscribe eventually to their belief systems and I left that community.
Now you know people told me in that community if you are leaving us many bad things will happen to you.
You will not be able to survive alone you know and you will or you will come back to us and all those things.
Nothing like that happened.
I'm absolutely wonderful.
In fact I'm more whole and abundant and happy after leaving that community.
So was what is the fear of abandonment valid then.
Now many other things I left my job.
I left my job and again people told me that you know you are an engineer you are an MBA.
What will people say what will people think.
You are becoming becoming a meditation teacher and what kind of a profession is this.
And you should you know you are educated you should do a corporate job and you should rise up the ladder of the corporate if you don't do that you won't be accepted by the society.
But I left my job.
I didn't do that.
And today I'm absolutely happy with what I do.
I'm absolutely happy with my work.
This is the most joyful work.
You know I'm living my passion actually this is what I was passionate about and this is what I'm doing.
I'm so happy.
So did I suffer because of that.
And then you know I did not get married.
And you know again I was told that you will you will be you will die of loneliness and you will not be able to survive and you will become depressed and everything if you don't get married.
But I did not.
And I'm happy I'm absolutely joyful.
I'm living in full of I'm full of joy and happiness and I'm living my best life right now.
Although I'm not married.
So did I did I die of loneliness or did I become depressed.
No I did not.
So all those feelings these are just examples.
There are many things that the society scares us with.
All those are false.
This fear of abandonment is an exaggerated fear we have.
And once we once we take that risk once we do what we love to do and once we stop living those rules in the society just because others expect us to live those roles.
That's when we become our true selves and that's when we live happy lives and that's when we are fulfilled actually.
Now there is a beautiful quote by Jim Carrey and Jim Carrey was going through this phase of depression and he said that you know depression happens when we when our soul tells us that you know enough of playing these roles that you are playing which are not you.
And we play those roles in the society which are which is not us which is not our true self.
And we you know we become that person which which is not us just because we want to fit in with the society.
And we don't be our true selves and that's why we become more stressed and depressed in life.
But if I can develop the courage to overcome this fear of abandonment and if I can take those risks and if I can just do what I love to do and be who I am.
Yes there will be challenges in the path but eventually you will be whole you will be complete you will live a wonderful fulfilled life actually.
So we need to we can overcome this fear of abandonment.
Heidi says I'm falling in love with my self before I can even look at a romantic partner.
Wonderful I love your I love this Heidi.
Okay so thank you so much for the loving comments.
Now moving on to the next one which is for the heart chakra.
The heart chakra is our love center.
So the fear itself is of love.
And this is the fear of love.
You know we even fear love actually we fear love itself.
Now how is that.
We fear love because we are again we are so afraid to love.
We have a fear of connecting with people.
We have we have a fear of compassion.
We are so closed you know our heart chakra is so closed that I my guards are up all the time.
I'm not ready to not ready to love people.
I'm not ready to open myself up to people.
I'm not ready to you know sit with a stranger and have a loving discussion.
I'm not ready to go out in the world and share love you know and hold hands with people and hug people.
I'm not ready to even you know get into relationships because I'm so scared that I will be hurt in the relationship.
I have this fear.
It's a trauma response.
So again not going into a relationship from a place of choice and just wanting to be with yourself is one thing.
But doing it out of fear is another thing.
Not not connecting with people out of fear is the fear of love actually.
But if you're doing it to enjoy your solitude and transform heal yourself that's good.
But if it has been done out of fear then actually there is a problem.
So we have a fear.
We have a fear of loving others and this fear is maybe due to some heartbreak in the past or due to some past trauma.
Or maybe we also have a fear of loving ourselves because maybe I was I was told that in my childhood I was told that don't love yourself take care of your brother and your sister and serve others and thinking about yourself is selfish.
So if I was told that then I will also be afraid of loving myself because when I love myself then I feel this guilt all the time.
I feel this you know I feel this shame I feel this regret once I once I love myself.
Whenever I do something for myself and start doing something for myself I will feel that shame regret guilt and I feel as if I'm selfish.
So we have a fear of love.
We have a fear of loving ourselves and we have a fear of loving others and fear of loving others is again created by mostly by the society.
You know when we are told that this person is different from you this person is separate from you.
This person has a different skin color.
You know be afraid of this person and save yourself and this person can be a potential attacker and this person is from a different country and be afraid of that person.
You know save yourself and this person is from a different religion.
Whatever is that.
All those people who have created these divisions in the society it's a social conditioning.
It's a fear based mindset and due to this we are not we are hearts are not open.
You know our hearts are closed.
And what we do is we live in a shell then.
We don't open ourselves for love and connection.
You know that's when I see someone even slightly different from me then I close myself and I see that person with suspicion.
But if I am but if I don't have these divisions in my mind if I am open inside if I have so much love inside if I have universal love if I if I don't believe in these divisions that the society has created then I will not fear love then I will be open to connection and then love is become so powerful.
You know a lot of times I would say you know we we we fight with each other with weapons.
We fight with each other in battles with violence.
I believe that love is the greatest weapon actually.
If we can if we can if we know the power of love love itself protects us it becomes a weapon.
You know there is a there is a beautiful there is a beautiful story of a Zen Koan that Bhava Ramdas shared of a monk.
And this monk was someone who was not afraid of death and who was very loving.
And you know there was this person who was who was a murderer who was a killer and he everyone in that area was afraid of this killer.
But someone told this killer that there is this one monk who is not afraid of you.
And then this killer was furious and angry that you know I will I will kill this monk I will go to this monk.
And then this killer when he went to the monk you know he had a sword in his hand and he said that I am the one who will put this sword through you.
And then the monk you know said opened his heart and said and I'm the one who will accept this sword and take it in my stomach.
Go ahead.
And guess what.
Do you think that this person was able to kill this monk.
Nobody can because there was so much love in this person that this love itself disarmed the other person.
You know there is also a story of Alexander and Diogenes where Alexander was about to kill Diogenes and Diogenes said that OK go ahead and kill.
And you know I'm full of love right now and I will see that you know I will see when you will kill me and you will see my head falling.
I will also see my head falling and I will see my body dying but I have transcended my body.
I am not the body anymore.
So go ahead and kill me.
And do you think Alexander was able to kill Diogenes.
He was not because he was so full of love.
So love itself is actually the greatest weapon.
We don't need violence.
If we are full of love nobody can hurt us because that love is such a powerful energy that it protects us.
And this is the reason you know people like Mahatma Gandhi,
Nelson Mandela,
Martin Luther King Jr.
These people did not they did not need violence to bring to transform the world.
They use their love as their power to transform the world.
So love.
Let's not fear love.
Love is the greatest thing.
Love is the most beautiful experience to have.
Love is what we live for.
And let's not fear it.
Let's spread it.
Let's have infinite unconditional love for ourselves and for others.
Thank you so much Tia,
Tatiana,
Laura.
A yoga teacher of mine said one time to me when I was afraid of teaching yoga she said they only want love.
Yes absolutely beautiful.
Thank you for sharing that Laura.
So love is the most powerful source.
When you can use this love and when you can connect to love there is no need of protecting ourselves with violence with you know with fear.
If you are full of love the truth is nobody can harm you.
That's the reality.
OK so moving on to the next one which is for the throat chakra and for the throat chakra it is about the fear of expression the fear of expression.
Now we have a fear of expression when we are not sure about ourselves.
When we have fears and judgments around certain things.
For example you know if I have let's say you want to dress in a certain way you maybe you want to wear you know whatever you want to wear less clothes or maybe no clothes or whatever it is.
Now the question is why am I doing that.
Maybe you want to dance and you do we are not doing that.
Maybe you want to sing and you are not doing that.
Maybe you want to speak your truth and you are not doing that.
Now the question is why are we doing this right.
That's the question.
Why are we not expressing ourselves what we are.
And when we contemplate on it it is because of mainly because of the fear of judgment isn't it.
I will I when I express myself I fear that someone will judge me.
I have this fear of judgment or as Ray said I have this fear of rejection.
But the question is why am I afraid of that.
And why am I believing in the judgment of the other person.
If I am if I am believing if I'm not expressing myself because someone is judging me then I'm kind of agreeing with them then I'm judging myself isn't it.
It's a self judgment that I'm making.
So when we are conscious about things when we are not when we are not sure about things when we don't know ourselves that's when we will find it difficult to express because we are judging ourselves actually we are not sure about ourselves.
So when I have to speak something let's say you have to speak your truth.
Let's say you know in your relationship you have to say something but you are not saying it or let's say on a public platform you have to say something and you are not saying it.
You are not saying it because you are not sure about it yourself.
We are not sure about it ourselves isn't it.
And because we are judging it but if I'm very sure about it and if I don't judge it myself then there is no way I will not express it.
If I am if I am you know if I'm not if I'm not dancing then it is my problem and I will accept this is this is a fear I have actually you know this is something I have to work on.
You know sometimes I become very conscious so or when I'm not you know when I'm not let's say when I'm I'm wearing certain kinds of clothes and I stop wearing that then the then the thing is that I'm judging myself actually I'm not sure about it myself.
So this this is due to the lack of self-awareness.
When I'm not sure about what I want to do when I'm when I don't believe in myself when I'm not even aware of what I want I will be confused and I will believe in others and I will believe in the judgments of others and then I will always be concerned what others are saying and then I will be focused on external validation.
I will be so much focused on external validation then.
You know when someone for example I'm saying something and someone passes a comment that this is wrong and this is you know how did you say that and this is so wrong.
What will happen then if I'm judging if I'm not sure about what I'm saying then I will I will fear that and then I will change my change what I'm saying right.
I will I will become diplomatic then because I'm believing in that judgment and I'm so dependent on that external validation that I'm changing my own stance because of that.
But if I believe in what I'm saying if I know myself if I know you know what I'm saying is true to my experience then whatever someone says I will not change that stance I will not be afraid of it and then I will not be dependent on external validation because I know myself.
So the more we know ourselves the more the less we will fear expression and you know we will not be dependent on that external validation then because if I am dependent on that external validation if I'm worried about how people think about me you know what I'm doing I will always live a life which is which is based on the judgment of others I will always live a life of you know I live a false life I will not be myself.
But if I let go of this external validation and I if I know myself deeply and if I believe in myself and if I tell myself I know who I am and I know that what I have to do then I will not be dependent on that external validation then what so ever what people you know what people say it won't matter to me and I will stand in my truth I will speak my truth I will do whatever I want to do I will dance I will sing I will you know wear whatever I want to wear or not wear or I will just express myself right I will express my beauty and I will not fear judgment because I know myself.
So if if if you you know if we find we can contemplate on this today if there is any expression that I am fearing if there is something that I want to express my true self and I am not able to express what is that fear of judgment what is that external validation and what is that not being sure about myself when I let go of that external validation that fear of judgment that's when I I truly express myself.
So what's stopping you from becoming your true version from expressing your true self?
That's the question.
Okay thank you for sharing all that.
Okay moving then to the third eye chakra and what's the fear for the third eye chakra?
Our third eye chakra is our connection to our intuition and if I'm not being intuitive if I'm disconnected from my intuition then what do I fear?
I fear being myself I fear being myself I fear following my intuition and that is the fear of intuition that is the fear of what your inner voice tells you isn't it?
That's the fear of listening to ourselves that inner voice within me that is telling me something to do and we fear that and that's why we don't follow our intuition and that's why we say that oh you know I'm not intuitive and I'm doing something which is you know I don't feel connected to my intuition and it's not that you are not connected to your intuition it's just that there is a fear of following your intuition because your intuition will tell you to do crazy things that is the truth our intuition will not tell us to live a life which is which is you know which is a limited life which the society lives you know which everyone lives it will trust me it will tell you to do crazy things and if you listen to your intuition right now it might tell you to you know go to Machu Picchu or you know leave that relationship or abusive relationship or you know leave that job that doesn't nourish your soul it will tell you to do crazy things actually but we don't listen to that because it is so much to ask for isn't it because we find it difficult to follow that because we are so scared of taking that step of following our intuition.
So it's not that you are not intuitive there is I haven't met anyone who is not intuitive every one of us is intuitive the truth is your intuition tells you to do crazy things and we are scared of that but if we just follow our intuition if we just follow our intuition trust me it will yes it will put us in difficult situations yes it will make us go through challenges but in the long run it always always always is doing it for our good for our growth for our transformation you know again my intuition told me to do many crazy things and at that time I was like oh my god you know how can I do this how can I even think of this but when I developed that courage to take that risk and take that step it was the most rewarding experience.
So what is your intuition telling you that you are not listening that's the question ask this question to yourself today I think it will be so profound what is my intuition telling me that I am not listening to that I am avoiding sell my house and move see that's such a crazy thing isn't it that the intuition has said and it is crazy our intuition is crazy trust me but it is also it you know it takes us to another level it transforms our life so what is your intuition telling you that you are not listening you know allow yourself to just journal on this question today you know it's good to I like to give questions for journaling so let this question be your journaling question for today what is my intuition telling me that I am avoiding and I think if you if you just journal on this question it can be life transforming it can make take make you it can make you take that it is dangerous actually because it will make you take that decision which you have been avoiding and it has the potential to take your life to another level it's that it's that dangerous actually.
Can my intuition be wrong though because of it what it is telling me to do if your intuition is telling you wrong things it is not your intuition that's what I believe intuition never tells wrong things because it is your soul speaking to you and your soul knows your journey your soul knows what is right and what is not right for you.
Okay so moving on to the final one which is very much related and linked to this which is for the crown chakra and this is the fear of the unknown the fear of the unknown.
Now the reason we don't listen to this intuition of ours is because we fear the unknown we fear stepping into the unknown because that unknown seems to be a very scary place you know it seems to be a such a dark and scary place it is not actually it is the most beautiful place to be in so what is that unknown let's take a few examples if you are in that relationship in which you don't feel love anymore the unknown for you is to step out of that relationship now that will seem to be a very scary place you might get thoughts oh my you know I will die lonely I will not be able to connect with anyone you know I will not be able to take care of myself all those things are in the unknown those fears are of the unknown but once you step into the unknown there is no way that something new won't happen in your life because that unknown is the space that you have created where new things can enter and from that unknown you might heal yourself you might get into a new relationship you might build something great a great business or whatever it is so that unknown is so important for our transformation it's so important to step into that unknown if we don't do that we are living in a prison we are living limited lives we are living you know we are just in the status quo we are just living like a robot and not practicing our free will so this can be in any other way you know someone shared in the session today about their job and their intention of leaving their job it can be in terms of a job so when when we leave our job which doesn't nourish our soul anymore it seems to be a scary place right what will happen to me I will not be able to take care of my finances you know this will happen that will happen all those fears but only unless and until I step into the unknown how will I know because from that unknown there will be a huge range of opportunities that will arrive and then you might get some business idea or some business opportunity that would have that wouldn't have come to you if you would have stayed in that job isn't it so by staying in that job we are limiting our possibilities but when we step into that unknown we are opening ourselves to possibilities so this is true for any area of our life not only relationships jobs and all those things but any area of our life what is that scares us about this unknown that unknown is a field of infinite possibilities unless and until I step into the unknown I will not be able to move in life transform myself grow you know take my life to the next level I will stay stuck where I am so let's overcome this fear of the unknown let's embrace it because that unknown although it seems scary but it is that place which is a field of infinite possibilities and it is that zone that will that is a launch pad for our life it's like you know it's like for example if you if you let's say you want to you know you want to go to the moon and you you are afraid of stepping onto that launch pad but if we don't step onto that launch pad how will we go to the moon right so we'll stay stuck on earth then this is just an example and the astronomical example I'm taking so to go to the moon I have to step on that launch pad although that launch pad is scary although that launch pad you know I might go into the rocket and the rocket might burst and all those things all fears are there but unless and until I step onto that launch pad how will I go to the moon there is no possibility so I have to step onto that launch pad I have to step into the unknown to transform my life to take my life to the other to another level to stop being fixed to stop being to stop staying in my comfort zone and to stop you know suffering in my comfort zone actually you know when the suffering I don't remember there is a saying but it is something like when when the pain of comfort is greater than the pain of change that's when we move you know it's something like that and it's so true isn't it when the when staying in the comfort zone becomes so painful that it is greater than the pain of change that's when we move so why do we have to wait for that pain to increase let's take that move right now let's step into the unknown and transform our lives.
Lots of love to you take care I will see you soon and for those of you who want to engage with me on a deeper level you can go to my profile here you can follow me here there are a lot of talks meditations courses upcoming lives workshops one-on-one sessions that I have whatever you would like to engage with and we also have a community a circle a group here which is called spiritual awakening so you can go to the search bar you can type in spiritual awakening you will find this group with the Buddha statue and you can join us in the family here we share a lot of resources and ideas and we are building this wonderful community thank you so much take care I will see you soon I love you namaste.

Brilliant talk. I myself have been through tremendous trauma, I lost my oesophagus, most of my stomach, & a tumor removed from my Bowel. Not many thought I'd survive. I have many side effects but it's nearly 7 years now, life isn't easy, I'm a Buddhist, I'm on Facebook - MC Zangpo - with "My Journey. These talks give great insight into life, I'd love to talk to people about my journey, who knows maybe some day I will, lovely honest talk. ΰ₯MCΰ₯

Thank You for teaching me about the root causes of fear by using our chakras as a guide. The teaching brought such clarity. I experienced several Aha moments and even moments of laughter. I will listen again because there is such more here to learn, internalize and act upon.

Thank you, Saquib! This talk really resonated with me in helping me understand my fears.
