My name is Saqib and I am your guide for this meditation that is called Abandonment Healing.
There are three major types of abandonment that we experience in life.
The first one is physical abandonment.
This happens when someone leaves us physically,
Someone close to us or our loved one leaves us physically.
The second type of abandonment is emotional abandonment and this happens when we experience neglect.
The person might be there for us physically but they might not be there for us emotionally.
So that is emotional abandonment.
But then there is a third type of abandonment and that is called self abandonment.
When someone else abandons us,
We learn that behaviour and we then abandon ourselves.
We feel that we are not important enough and that's why we sacrifice our own needs for others.
In today's meditation we will heal this abandoned self of ours.
We will give love to this abandoned self of ours.
If during the meditation you experience some painful emotions,
Just know that that is good,
That is important because only when we feel our pain we can heal it.
And also know that I am there for you in this meditation.
I am sitting with you holding your hand so you don't need to worry about anything.
Let's begin now.
I will now request you to get into your comfortable posture.
Just make sure that your back is straight but is relaxed at the same time.
And then you can gradually close your eyes for this meditation.
Let's begin the meditation by becoming aware of our external environment.
Feel the presence of your body in the surroundings.
Listen to the sounds around you.
And then become aware of your own body.
Feel the weight of the body on the chair,
On the couch or on the mattress wherever you are sitting.
Feel other subtle sensations in the body.
Maybe you can feel your clothes on your skin or you can feel the air on your skin.
Or maybe you can feel your skin itself.
And then gradually move your awareness to your breath.
You can become aware of the inflow and the outflow of the breath.
Using your breath,
Just relax your body.
Using your breath,
Calm down your mind.
And using the breath as the anchor,
Bring your awareness to the present moment.
And now in your mind's eye,
Imagine and visualize that there is a person sitting inside your body.
This is your own abandoned self.
And now this personality or this person is coming out of your body and it sits in front of you.
You are now face to face with your abandoned self.
You can see that your abandoned self is hurt.
Look into the eyes of your abandoned self.
Look at their facial expressions.
Look at their body language.
Your abandoned self is feeling hurt.
And it wants to express to you that hurt.
It wants to express to you that how it is feeling.
So take your time and listen to your abandoned self.
Listen to what they have to express.
And now in your mind's eye,
Imagine and visualize that there is a person sitting inside your body.
Your abandoned self will now tell you what it needs,
What it desires,
What it wants.
It will tell you what it needs to be loved.
So take your time and listen to those needs,
Wants and desires of your abandoned self.
And now in your mind's eye,
Imagine and visualize that there is a person sitting inside your body.
And now go ahead and give a warm loving embrace to your abandoned self.
Give them a tight hug and give them that love through this hug.
And tell your abandoned self,
I am here for you now.
I will take care of you.
And I love you.
Your abandoned self now is feeling relaxed,
Happy,
Hopeful.
It is feeling loved now.
And it knows that you will fulfil all its needs,
Desires and wants.
It is now merging back in your body.
It is again becoming one with you now.
You can now gradually bring your awareness back to the presence of your body in your surroundings.
You can wiggle your toes,
Move your fingers and then gradually in your own time,
You can open your eyes and come out of the meditation.
I hope you now give yourself all the love in the world.
I hope you now put yourself first.
I hope you now fulfil all your needs,
Wants and desires.
Take care of yourself.
