Hello and welcome to some more life where I help you learn how to love yourself first.
In this meditation we are going to reduce our anxiety.
So find a comfortable place to sit.
It can be a chair or on the floor,
Whatever feels good for your body.
And then bring the palms of your hands to the tops of your knees face down.
Close your eyes and we'll start to do some deep breathing,
Bringing ourselves to the present moment.
So you can start to notice any sounds around you.
The way your breath feels moving in and out of your body just become one with your surroundings,
One with your body,
One with your breath.
And we'll do a little breathing technique,
Taking a deep inhale with belly breaths to the count of one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Then hold your breath for two,
One,
And now release your breath for two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Hold it for one,
Two.
Now inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold one,
Two.
Now release two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Hold your breath for one,
Two.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold one,
Two.
Release one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Hold one,
Two.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold one,
Two.
Release one,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Hold for two.
Inhale one,
Two.
Big breaths,
Four.
Hold it one,
Two.
Now release it out.
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Hold for one,
Two.
Inhale one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold breath,
Four,
Two.
And release three,
Four,
Five,
Six.
Let it go.
Bringing your attention to your breath.
Noticing how your body feels.
Anxiety is the result of focusing about the future.
Future events that haven't even happened yet.
It may never take place.
And so those worry and obsessive thoughts,
They cause you to be stuck in a cycle of fear and negativity.
So when you become aware of these thoughts and anxious feelings,
You can begin to change the patterns of thinking and overcome this type of anxiety.
Breathing helps you to release those worrying thoughts.
Becoming present in this moment.
This is your time to be aware of your thoughts and your time to release any stress because you're safe.
Everything is fine.
There's nothing to be afraid of,
Nothing to be concerned about right now.
We're breathing.
Noticing how our body feels,
Thoughts may come.
Just let them pass.
Don't hold on to any of them,
Just like little clouds floating by in your sky.
Just let it pass.
Be free of them.
Notice how your breath moves throughout your body,
Letting your breath move past these thoughts.
Continue to breathe.
Anxiety is another way to breathe.
Anxiety is a normal sensation.
It happens when we're stressed or when we're really concerned about something.
And it's really OK.
The feeling will pass.
So when that anxiety,
Those worrying thoughts,
That feeling of uncontrolled,
When that happens to you,
Just breathe.
Remind yourself that it's OK.
You're safe here.
Everything is really fine.
And so in this moment,
I want us to bring our attention to one of the situations that causes your anxiety.
It could be a person.
It could be something for work,
Something for your business.
It could be a person who's having a hard time.
It could be something at your home,
A relationship.
Whatever that is,
Just bring some awareness around it.
And ask yourself,
What's the judgment about this?
What story am I carrying with this situation or with this person?
Breathe into it.
What's at the core of this thing?
What's the fear that's driving my anxiety with this situation?
And once you find that story,
That judgment,
Just let it go.
It's OK.
And once you find that story,
That judgment,
Just let it go.
It's OK.
And once you find that story,
That judgment,
Just let it go.
It's OK.
A lot of times,
The stories,
The judgments that we carry to a situation,
That we carry to a thought,
A lot of times,
It's over-exaggerated.
A lot of times,
It's not even happening.
It's magnifying how we feel about it.
Sometimes it blocks us from seeing the truth about our situation.
So what happens if we let it go?
What happens if we no longer hold on to that story or that judgment?
Breathe,
Breathe,
Breathe.
Now I want you to think about the situation once again.
But this time,
Try to think of it in an isolated space with no judgment,
With no past baggage,
With no future forecasting,
With no story.
Just think of it as it is,
And I invite you to explore with curiosity.
What can you do with this situation?
The very next thing,
Not what the situation might look like 10 years from now or a year from now,
But what's one thing that you can do in this very moment?
Maybe it's just the change of how you think of it.
Maybe it's a conversation.
Maybe it's just to let it go.
How can you feel better in this moment about that situation?
Just breathe.
And now let it go.
And now let it go.
Return to this present moment feeling your body,
Feeling how you feel in your mind,
What sensations are coming to you.
Just know that you have the power to create a choice to make yourself feel safe,
To make yourself feel whole,
To make yourself feel better.
There's always a choice,
And that's the power of being human.
That's the power of having your mind.
So the next time you start to feel anxious or worried or stressed,
Or if you're overthinking something that may not even have happened yet,
It may not even be in your control,
Just acknowledge the judgment,
The story that you might be holding around it,
And then choose to release it.
Choose to make a decision that supports yourself,
That makes you feel better.
Choose to return to your breath,
Return to this moment of peace,
Of calm,
Of knowing that you are loved,
You are supported.
Take a deep breath.
Let it go.
Release your thoughts,
Awareness with your breath.
Breathe deeply.
Conscious breathing.
Circulate your breath throughout your body.
Feel the tension melting away.
Becoming one with this moment.
We do that with our breath.
Deep breathing.
Take a deep inhale with me.
Long exhale,
Let it go.
And start to blink your eyes open,
Slowly returning to your surroundings,
Starting to adjust your body as needed.
And I hope you feel better.
I hope you enjoyed this meditation.
