Hey everyone,
This will be a bit of a shorter meditation,
Kind of an on the go meditation.
It will be about,
Hopefully,
6 to 8 minutes of some core practices that will really help bring us back to our inner world,
Our inner self.
There might be birds in the background.
I'm at an ashram in India,
So bear with me.
Just allow these to be part of the practice.
You can hear birds where you are as well.
So let's sit up tall,
Roll the shoulders back,
Make sure our sitting bones are really connected with the floor.
And let's start to arrive in the body.
Just arrive into the body.
Whatever thoughts are passing by,
Just allow them to land,
To ground.
And come back to your home.
This body is our home.
Let's start deepening the inhales and exhales.
You're noticing the heart and the pulse slowing down.
Perhaps the thoughts slow down as well.
Our first exercise will be a lunar breath.
That sounds like it's an inhale filling the belly and then the chest and then the collarbones.
Then we exhale the collarbones,
The chest,
The belly.
Breathing deeply and slowly.
And only after the belly completely fills,
Then we move to the chest,
Filling the chest and any air left comes into the collarbones.
Each breath can take anywhere from five to 12 seconds.
And following your own count,
Your own rhythm,
Your own pace,
Belly,
Chest,
Collarbones.
Continuing this practice for the next few moments.
And I'll bring in a few affirmations that you can just let wash over.
How would it feel in my body to bring more softness into my life?
How would it feel to fully soften?
How would it feel to soften my eyes and jaw?
How would it feel for my mind to stop?
How would it feel to bring in compassion to my heart?
How would it feel to bring love into this home,
To this body?
Signishing whatever breath you're on,
Stomach,
Chest,
Collarbones,
Full of air.
And release.
Finding your natural breath and noticing any changes in the body or mind.
That's different here.
Our next practice will be to bring a gentle and silent mantra.
So hum.
And we can say this out loud or we can bring it internally.
With every inhale,
So,
So,
And each exhale hum.
So hum is creating harmony with everything that is.
Recognizing the harmonious nature of all beings,
Of all creatures.
Taking the next few moments to incorporate.
So,
And on the exhale hum.
So hum.
Feeling this frequency,
This harmonious frequency developing within our bodies,
Within our beings.
So hum.
So hum.
So hum.
Starting to notice this frequency enveloping us.
As our bodies,
As our minds start to dissolve,
As we become part of this mantra,
Part of this sound,
This harmony.
As our sense of self fades into the background.
And we become this mantra.
So hum.
Taking one more deep inhale.
And releasing hum.
Practicing the practice and taking just a few moments to sit in a subtle awareness.
Experience energy in the body.
And the energy gets moving and shifting.
I am harmony.
I bring harmony to everywhere I go.
And the harmonious nature of this universe finds me and loves me.
Can bring our hands to heart center and gently bow.
An acknowledgement of this great universe.
When we touch one thing with great awareness,
We touch everything.
The enlightened in me sees and honors the enlightened in me.
Namaste.
