
Setting Energetic Boundaries

Over the years, as I get deeper into meditation and the more subtle aspects of reality, I have found it more and more important to expand my practice of connecting with the formless aspects of myself. We are all familiar with our physical body, we can identify ourselves in a picture for example, but this practice is an introduction into recognizing and connecting with our own energetic body, the resonance that we put into the world. Once we recognize ourselves, we can identify what isn't us.

Hello everyone.
Welcome back.
Welcome back home.
Wherever you have been today,
Wherever you've been exploring.
Maybe you just woke up and you're exploring the world of dreams.
Maybe you've had a beautiful or busy day and you're back home to us.
Today we'll be exploring together the idea of connecting in with our own resonance.
So we're going to really settle into who am I?
What is my energetic body?
How can I differentiate the difference between me and someone else?
I remember when I was a kid I used to have a lot of challenges differentiating my emotions from the emotions of people around me.
Many of you might have had the experience where somebody,
One of your friends is really upset.
And all of a sudden you feel very upset and you're not sure whose emotion it is.
Maybe I'm carrying somebody else's emotion empathically.
So today we'll really explore what's mine and what have I been carrying around that isn't mine.
So with that let's find a comfortable seated position.
Maybe we place a pillow underneath our sitting bones.
We sit up tall but soften the body.
We can begin to soften the jaw and the face.
We hold so much tension in the face.
Maybe even just opening the jaw and giving it a stretch,
Sticking the tongue out even.
And relaxing the tongue within the mouth.
As we travel down the body,
The shoulders,
The arms rest,
And the lap from the knees.
As the chest rises and falls,
The belly rises and falls.
We notice all this happening magically without our control just as it breathes itself.
We move our awareness down to the hips,
Feel the touch of the earth below us.
If you can tune into the pulse of the earth.
Move our awareness down to the legs,
To the knees.
Feeling the clothing that we're wearing potentially touching our knees.
Our legs,
Our calves,
Our feet.
And then in one experience,
If you can capture the entire body.
Just imagine a deep relaxation gliding through the body.
Like a wave of serenity passing through every cell.
As we gently surrender to the spaciousness that's always there.
It's like we're changing the channel to see the spaciousness.
Very gently,
We bring our awareness all the way back up to the body,
To the crown of the head.
And see if we can notice the boundary of our body.
This skull on top of our head,
The hair.
We can just start to tune in to the skin around our body.
That acts as a boundary,
As a separation from the outside world.
This is where I start.
This is where I end.
And see if you can trace that boundary all the way down the body,
Feeling the skin covering the entire body,
Almost like it's a gift wrap.
Like a cocoon protecting you from viruses and pathogens and germs.
From the outside world.
As you seal this boundary,
As you really feel confident with this boundary,
See if you can feel within the boundary,
What lies within.
Feels more clear now.
What lies within the boundary is more defined.
I want you to see if we can extend that boundary just a little bit outside the skin.
Maybe just an inch outside the skin.
So we feel the skin and then we gently,
Gently open the boundaries slightly.
Growing the boundary,
Almost like a little bubble around us.
Like a little dome.
And perhaps you might even be able to feel really subtle sensations right off of the skin,
Like a little energetic tingle.
Maybe,
Maybe not.
Doesn't matter.
We just start moving the awareness down through the body around the skin.
One inch,
A few centimeters away from the skin.
As if our entire body just grew just a little bit.
So you're becoming aware of this next layer of boundary,
This energetic boundary now.
Not the physical skin,
But the energetic boundary around the skin.
Just with your intention,
See if you can fill that boundary with your energy.
And then like we're growing our body to fill that space.
And that's the question,
How would it feel to fill that space in my body?
No need to answer.
Just feeling how would it feel to fill up that space with my energy?
See what changes.
See what happens.
Who knows?
And within this now extra layered cocoon that we've created,
Again,
We find our energetic and physical body now more defined.
And what we can do now is to really become clear with what our essence is so that we can start to notice within ourselves.
Within our mind,
We can start to say our name.
Quietly.
Like a mantra.
And as you say your name,
See if you can feel this little electrical pulse of vibration like a frequency traveling through the arms and the legs.
And notice that every time you say your name,
The same frequency pulses through.
So you recite your name and pause and feel.
In that gap,
Notice what happens.
No need to label.
Just notice.
How does it feel to notice my energy to feel my frequency?
My home.
Let that subtle vibration start to bounce around the body.
Almost like a pool ball in a pool table billiards table.
Your own essence starts to really fill your body like smoke in a room permeating every cell and clearing out anything that isn't the same vibration purifying your internal landscape.
And then you can feel your own frequency.
Like you're carefully basking in this frequency,
Like you're taking a shower with nectar.
Your own essence was chocolate spread.
Pure and smooth.
Pouring into the body.
And feel that essence reaching the boundaries.
And coming back in.
And now that we've really defined who our essence is,
What this essence is,
Is it flows to the body now more fully.
Notice again the boundaries that we've created outside these energetic boundaries,
Like a little dome around us.
And this dome serves to protect us like a helmet.
To protect us from other people's energies coming in.
It's like we shower our bodies every day.
We clean our bodies and this is us cleaning our energetic body,
Our subtle body.
So I want you now to imagine the boundaries around you this cocoon starting to harden.
Still soft and flexible,
But strong.
A strong filter for only the purest energy that comes through that we choose to let in.
And I want you now to imagine that from a distance it's as if someone was shooting an arrow at us and the arrow gently soars toward us and hits the boundary and collapses to the ground.
Unable to break.
Unable to infiltrate.
And again another arrow shoots and source to the air hits the boundary and inch outside of our skin and crumbles into dust.
As we now begin to work with this layer.
With an open heart and a deep resonance to our own frequency.
A strong and decisive filter that allows only the highest of energies to come in,
Only the purest.
And I want you now to imagine that from a distance it's as if someone was shooting an arrow at us and the arrow gently soars toward us and hits the boundary and collapses to the ground.

How does it feel to embody my formlessness.
To turn the volume up.
And what was so silent,
So subtle I couldn't even notice.
But now a vast and expansive.
How does it feel to tune into this body.
The awareness comes down and rests right below the navel right below the belly button or Dante and our center of power,
Or lower Dante connecting deeply with our center with our core,
The core of who we are.
And from that space of centerness.
We meet the world.
From the space of wholeness of deep connection.
May we all meet the world today from a space of wholeness of not needing but are receiving joyfully what comes and joyfully allowing whatever goes to go.
Enlightened in me sees and honors,
Enlighten in every one of you each and every one.
