Good morning.
Good morning.
Wherever you are in this world,
It's morning somewhere.
And so we're just today is going to be about acknowledging and honoring the morning.
And the way we're going to do that is by emptying our cup.
And we'll dive into that in a few moments.
So wherever you are,
Whatever you're doing,
I invite you to pause for the next 10 minutes.
Pause the whole world and just be here in this moment with life force and your body,
This little transmitter of God,
Of Jah,
Of Jehovah,
Of whoever you and however you identify as source,
As something bigger than us,
As the universe.
There's a beautiful quote by Rumi.
When you're alone,
It means that God wanted some alone time,
So they asked everybody else to leave so that the two of you can be together.
So let's take a moment to really feel the intimacy of this moment and the sacredness of this moment.
Right below the thoughts,
Right below everything.
The pure potential,
The pure unknown excitement,
The fruitful darkness that lies in front of us where we don't know what's going to happen next.
I don't even know what I'm going to say next.
Let's rest in that.
So wherever you are,
Find a comfortable way to be.
Maybe it's laying down.
Maybe it's sitting up.
Start to invite the breath into your body.
How can I make it more pleasurable?
Maybe it's making sound.
Just like I invite you to make sound.
And sound from a deeply authentic,
Like,
Yes.
Yeah,
I invite you to be yourself in this moment.
If your body wants to move,
Let it move a little bit,
Let your head move,
Let your shoulders move.
Empty,
Let's empty all the bullshit,
Empty all of it out.
Any bullshit you're carrying in your backpack,
I just invite you to let it go.
And you can pick it up at the end of this,
I promise.
More softness in the body.
And not like a collapsedness.
There's still integrity in however we're sitting or laying.
There's still structure,
But within that structure is just this soft fluidity,
This emptiness,
This hollow bamboo.
So today we're going to explore grief,
Emptying the cup to arrive even deeper into the present moment.
So coming to a stillness in your body.
Or if you want to keep moving,
Keep moving.
But I invite you in the stillness,
Into inwardness.
And the practice today is letting go of what was so that I can be in what is.
So I invite you into your body and whatever time it is,
Whatever,
If it is morning,
If it is evening,
Let's take this next experience to grieve,
To let go,
To acknowledge something that's died in the last day.
The sun setting.
Maybe a part of ourselves,
Maybe a relationship that we left.
What is still open?
What am I still thinking about that I can close,
That I can just say,
Wow,
What a beautiful experience that was,
What a challenging experience that was,
And it's over.
For today,
It's died today.
Today this chapter is over.
Or yesterday.
The sleep that I just had is over.
What a beautiful experience to go into the unknown world.
And if you want,
You can scan through your day.
You can scan through the parts of yourself that have died.
An old belief,
A way of being.
Because when we truly acknowledge death,
When we truly grieve,
What we're really doing is inviting life force back into our body,
Into our present moment.
So taking a moment to acknowledge the stories that are still open,
The moments that haven't been closed,
And simply empty them.
Thank you,
Say thank you.
In a way that invites relief to begin this new day.
This new life that starts right now.
Allowing grief in the body.
Grief for the meal that you finished.
For the time that you may feel was wasted.
It's over.
And notice any shifts in the body.
As life force starts to come back.
Taking these last moments to find and call back any parts of ourselves that are stuck in the past or in the future.
In service of finding a deep intimacy with this moment.
Let's take a deep inhale and exhale.
Let's do two more deep inhale.
Deep inhale,
This last exhale release everything left.
And simply witness the echo of our practice.
With the cup empty.
We are ready for these next present moments.
To invite a new experience,
New moments of who we are as a person.
So the invitation for today as you dive into maybe the same routine as you have a million times.
And the invitation is to surprise yourself.
To not get caught in who you think you are,
How you think you should be,
What you think you like and actually just listen to this present moment and allow yourself to be dazzled by the incongruent unreliable nature of who you are as a life being.
There is no one in the past or the future that need me.
I'm needed here in the present.
Thank you all for this journey,
For this beautiful journey of life that you're taking.
And some days you might be super pumped and some days might suck.
And they are all just as valid and beautiful and epic in their own ways.
So thank you for being in your quarter of the world for sharing this human experience.
It's more important than we could ever know.
Have a beautiful journey today and I'll see you next time.
The enlightened in me sees and honors the enlightened in you.
Big me sees big you.
Namaste.
