Hello,
Beautiful meditators,
Beautiful people.
Good morning,
Evening,
Afternoon.
Today's meditation will be a special meditation.
We're going to take some time to encourage and explore global healing.
I'm currently in Bali right now in Indonesia.
And every year there's a holiday in Bali called Nyapi.
And Nyapi,
Everything stops.
The Balinese the night before make a lot of noise and shoot up fireworks to wake the spirits up that are residing under the ground.
And the next day everybody stays at home,
Stays in their houses and is silent.
The planes stop,
They close the airport.
Everything stops.
A day without movement and a day without speaking.
This year on Nyapi,
The 25th of March,
Most of the world spends the day in solidarity,
Spends the day in their version of Nyapi,
Maybe even a few weeks of Nyapi.
This is an important time to be alive,
An important time to connect inward,
An important time to nourish ourselves,
To rest,
To dream.
So we'll have a meditation today that will ultimately on any day bring some global healing to the world.
But ours also starting to recognize that healing the world is the same as healing ourselves.
It's the same thing.
So let's roll the shoulders back and sit up tall.
Let the breath become this fluid prana that seeps in and out this beautiful nectar that fills the body.
Today we will start the practice with pranayama.
And I'll have an offering,
But if you'd like you can do any pranayama that feels good for your body right now that your body might be calling.
And if you'd like to join,
Then we'll do a three part lunar breath,
Which would be inhaling,
Exhaling the belly,
The chest,
And then the collarbone,
Holding at the top.
We exhale the collarbones,
The chest,
And then the belly.
And you can find your own rhythm,
Belly,
Chest,
Collarbone,
Collarbones,
Chest,
Belly.
And with each inhale,
Creating expansion in the mind.
With each exhale,
Deepening into that expansiveness.
The body becomes a vessel for life force.
And as we start to rest in this expansiveness.
We start to rest in the not knowing,
Finding deep trust,
Finding deep calm.
And as we witness the exterior uncertainty,
The exterior chaos,
We rest in the internal spaciousness.
A deep internal spaciousness.
How expansive does this inner landscape of yours get?
How deep does the well go?
Taking two cycles of breath wherever you are.
Two more rich and full nourishing breaths.
And arrive back into this deep and subtle experience of consciousness.
What has changed here?
What has changed within me?
Becoming the observer of what is.
Just observing.
We'll take a deep inhale,
Exhale to release the practice.
Deep inhale.
And I want you now to imagine,
Imagine that wherever you're sitting or laying,
You can look up and see the sky above you.
And wherever you are,
The sun is beaming down or the stars.
And you can feel the light,
This beautiful luminous white light from the sun beaming down,
Glowing.
You can feel your head illuminate with color,
With light.
And it seeps down to your arms as your hands start glowing.
And down your chest and your heart and your belly,
All glowing luminous as it moves down to your legs and knees,
Hands,
Feet.
Everything fully lit up.
And as it shoots out your feet,
It goes down into the earth beneath you,
Down to the layers of the rock and the earth and the sediment,
The tectonic plates into the core of the earth where it gets completely purified to this molten core coming back up through the tectonic plates,
The sediment,
The dirt,
The earth,
The dust,
The sand through the grass,
In your feet,
Up your legs,
Your knees,
Your thighs,
Hips,
Chest,
Belly,
Arms,
Hands,
Head,
Everything fully covered in light.
And you start to get lighter and lighter and lighter.
Your body still on the ground as your soul leaves and floats up.
As you get higher and higher,
You can start to see the location where you're at from a distance in the city or the forest around you.
The earth beneath you as you get further and further away,
You can see the land mass,
The oceans.
You get further and further looking down at this beautiful earth.
And as you sit gently right on the edge of the atmosphere,
You can start to notice how peaceful this planet is.
Just spinning in a solar system,
Minding its own business,
Spinning quietly and peacefully.
And among all the perceived chaos below,
We start to actually notice little dots of red lighting up on the planet.
And each of these little dots that we start to see,
Almost like little light bulbs,
Are places where there's joy happening.
In each little household where there's joy,
As people are in their homes and they make a nice dinner,
Or they wake up knowing that they're safe,
Or they're singing on their balconies with others,
Or they're writing a song or starting to play guitar.
And as the earth spins beneath us,
We start to see more and more of these little red lights in the cities,
In nature.
Just moments during the day where people are smiling,
Laughing.
And the more dots we see,
The more start to appear,
As we notice that this joy is contagious.
That even if you didn't know that the person down the street is smiling and laughing,
Their essence travels through the energetic field and you get some joy too and smile.
And these lights cover the world as they start to expand and expand.
You see red everywhere,
This red globe,
Like a loving force field.
It's a sight to see.
And with all this joy,
You decide to move back down towards the planet.
And you can feel this beautiful force field as you move into it,
Like the atmosphere.
And you land back in your body.
You notice a strong shift,
A realization,
A recognition that we are always protected and held in joy.
We are surrounded by joy.
And we find this mirror sitting in a dome of joy.
Our body becomes full of that same joy,
A reflection.
And as we expand this joy within our own being as a reflection of the universe,
We can see and sit in spaciousness and allow this joy to permeate every cell in our body.
Every single cell fills up with this beautiful warming red.
This compassion and love expansiveness.
And you sit calmly in the being mind,
Not the doing.
Where can I invite joy into my body?
Which part of my body needs more joy?
My hips,
Shoulders,
Mind?
You always have the space to invite,
To welcome.
May we stand strong in our trust,
In our smiles.
May we see the truth.
I wish you all a beautiful,
Introspective few weeks of deep connection to yourself and to the planet.
We'll take a deep inhale and exhale to release.
The enlightened in me,
The joyful in me,
The surrendered within me,
Sees and honors.
The enlightened,
Joyful and surrendered in each and every one of you.
Namaste.
Namaste.
Namaste.
Namaste.
