A Guided Journey Into Death & The Inbetween
by Bodhi Samuel
This meditation is one very dear to my heart that has completely changed my life many times. This is an extended version of the "inner child" meditation that will fully take us through a journey into the afterlife and beyond. This meditation has the potential to be very heart opening and emotional if we approach it from an open and intentional mind space. As we step through the world of death, we can fully show up in life. When we bring death closer, we see that there is only love.
Transcript
Welcome everyone,
Wherever you are,
Whether you're in a group or just beautiful you,
I welcome you as you are.
You are welcome as you are.
Today we will be exploring a death meditation,
A beautiful guide and journey through a very important time,
A very special time.
And before we start I'll take the next five minutes or so to explain,
To give context.
And I'll also be guiding this today for either a group or a singular person.
So I'll do my best to give modifications for both.
Cool.
This is a very dear meditation to me.
I think it's so important as we honor our cycle of life,
As we live our everyday life to take time and to honor our end of life,
Our leaving this body.
And wherever the spirit or the soul moves on to,
To honor this time that we had here on earth and to take that time.
Instead of being fear,
Fearful of death,
As most of us are,
We have a lot of fear around death,
Which really brings us to a life full of fear.
I start to notice that when we bring death a bit closer,
When we start to look at death,
And instead of resisting,
If we can bring it a bit closer with love and warmth and openness,
That it makes life a really beautiful place.
We can surrender to life instead of living our life as if we were running out of time.
So that's one of the benefits of this meditation is to start developing a different style of relationship with death,
To start honoring and getting closer.
And the beautiful thing about this meditation is that no matter what I say,
Even though it'll be the same words that will be heard by each person who listens,
Everybody will have a very different experience and I'd like to just take a moment to open and invite any experience.
It doesn't really quite matter what experience you have rather that we're here just to allow for any experience and whether that means tears will come,
Or that we may be very bored or find resistance,
Or there might be something annoying that happens that I keep saying or that's on the track or that you can hear in the background.
I invite that this is a space for the next hour,
Just to observe,
To let anything come up,
Whatever needs to come up will come up,
Even if it's not what we expected.
I had a man in a death meditation a few weeks ago that was hard of hearing,
And his experience was very different than those around him,
As he was struggling and resisting,
That he couldn't hear very well,
And he had his own entire world that he was struggling with,
And that's what needed to come up for him that evening.
So no matter what happens over the next hour,
I want just to validate and support any experience.
Secondly,
If tears come up or if you feel an urge that tears want to come out,
I want you to notice,
I remember when I was a kid and my parents used to tell me,
Like,
Oh,
Don't cry,
Or it's,
You know,
This isn't an appropriate place to cry,
Or I would be told that like,
You know,
Crying isn't manly by people.
And I started to notice that in the last few years I wanted to cry a little bit more,
But the tears would always,
I'd feel an emotion coming up and it would get caught around my neck,
My throat,
And almost press back down.
It's almost an involuntary reaction at this point.
And I just want to take a minute that can help observe or bring awareness that if any of us feel that in this process that we're about to go through,
Just to notice,
Just to notice the process of emotion in the body,
The things that come up.
And lastly,
As we start this meditation,
The structure will be about a five part meditation.
The first three parts will be predominantly to relax the body and relax the mind to allow for a much deeper experience to happen.
And then the last two will be a bit more open and loving and I don't want to say confronting,
But emotional perhaps.
Bringing things to the surface or going down to the depths.
There will be a mixture of sitting up and laying down.
So make sure you're in a place or if there are many of you are in a place that you can kind of fit together and lay down.
I usually would like doing this in a circle.
So for multiple people coming into a circle,
I found to be the best or a small clump so very tight circle where you can be intermittently dispersed,
But just make sure that you have the space to lie down and sit up before we start.
I'm here and unfortunately I can't be here in person if you're listening to this,
But for the duration of this experience I'll be here to hold space and just to be present for you.
And more importantly,
You have to be here for yourself.
So I'll say this because this is something I agree with and I'll put my hand up but if you feel the same you can put your hand up too.
I'm here to be here with you now.
To support you in whatever experience you're going to have.
To hold any experience that may come up.
Right now I'm raising my hand and if you or many of you are raising your hands just take a minute to acknowledge that we are here to hold this space for each other.
We are here for each other.
I am here for me.
I'm here for you.
Beautiful.
So without further ado,
We'll start getting this train rolling.
Sit up tall,
Tall,
Tall.
Roll the shoulders back.
The spine is long.
But settling into the body.
And first we'll introduce a vibrational breath.
We'll be using this throughout the practice and the way that sounds is you'll take a deep inhale and audibly exhale.
Let's do that one more time.
Inhale.
Ah,
Letting go of everything during the day.
One last one.
Deep inhale.
Ah.
And start to notice the effects of that sound of the vibration on our body.
Settling into the body.
Noticing the mind pour out the back of the head.
The mind can be quiet.
And letting any thoughts go anywhere we have to be.
Anywhere that we've been.
We can place those in bed and let them go.
That right here,
I'm present.
Right now,
I'm present.
We'll start today's practice off with pranayama with breath control.
We'll slow down the heart rate.
And activate our rest and digest nervous system,
Our parasympathetic nervous system.
So the way this breath will work,
It's called stair step breathing.
So we'll inhale for a count of six and exhale for a count of seven.
Inhale for a count of six.
Exhale for a count of seven.
Do that twice.
And we inhale for a count of seven and exhale for eight.
Inhale eight,
Exhale nine,
Etc.
So let's take a deep vibrational breath.
Inhale.
And exhale.
And we'll inhale for six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Hold the top.
Exhale seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale six,
Five.
If at any point the count is too fast or slow,
Go on your own breath.
Two.
Hold.
Exhale seven,
Six.
Emptying everything out,
Everything out.
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale seven.
First the belly,
Then the chest.
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Hold.
Exhale eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five.
Everything out slowly.
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale seven,
Six,
Five.
If you need to be on your own count,
That is totally fine.
Finding your own rhythm.
Hold.
Exhale eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five.
Slowly.
Three,
Two,
One.
Let's take a vibrational breath.
Inhale.
Ahhhhhhhhhh.
We'll inhale for eight.
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Hold.
Exhale nine,
Eight.
Slowly.
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale eight,
Seven,
Six.
Deep breath.
Big,
Big.
Expand the chest.
Two,
One.
Hold.
Exhale nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale nine,
Eight,
Seven.
First the belly wide,
Wide.
Three,
Two,
One.
Hold.
Exhale ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Inhale nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Hold.
Exhale ten,
Nine,
Eight,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
We'll do one last ten.
Nine,
Eight.
Big breath.
Expand.
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three.
Deeper,
Deeper,
Deeper,
Deeper.
Hold.
Vibrational breath.
Exhale.
Ah.
Let's take one more vibrational breath.
Inhale.
Ah.
Everything out.
Everything out.
Taking a moment and noticing in the last five minutes any effect on the body or the mind.
Any subtle changes,
Sensations.
Just in the last few minutes.
Taking note of any peacefulness in the mind.
Any movement.
Letting go of any tension,
Any tension.
Let's take a deep vibrational breath.
Inhale.
Letting go of everything hot.
Ever so slowly.
Ever so slowly.
As if your body were made out of glass.
Keeping the eyes closed as best as possible or the gaze very soft.
We'll find our way to a laying down position ever so slowly.
As if we have eternity.
And as we arrive down toward the back,
Starting to notice the body sinking into the ground.
Heavy.
Heavy.
Notice the earth supporting us.
How can I give even more of myself to the earth?
How would it feel to fully feel supported by the earth?
Notice your body sinking deeper and deeper.
And we'll take a deep vibrational breath.
Inhale.
Ah.
I want you now to bring your awareness right in between the eyes to the third eye in between the eyebrows.
Notice any sensation,
Any tension.
Allowing it to fully release.
Fully release.
Moving your awareness down to the temples,
To the eyes.
Heavy.
Heavy.
Noticing any tension in the jaw.
Allowing it to fully dissolve.
Noticing the space between each tooth between the teeth.
Allowing any tension in the mouth,
In the teeth,
In the tongue or the back of the throat to fully dissolve.
Completely dissolve.
The tongue is on the roof of the mouth.
We can slowly remove it.
And notice any tension dissolve in the body.
Notice the throat opening.
We move our awareness down toward the neck,
Releasing any tension in the neck.
We move our way down toward our shoulders.
Letting them be heavy on the ground.
Moving down through the sensations in our upper arms,
Our forearms.
Allowing them to be heavy.
Noticing any sensations in the hands.
Maybe a tingling sensation.
Maybe like an electric pulse or ants walking.
Just noticing these beautiful hands.
Allowing them to rest.
You can rest now.
These beautiful loving hands.
Moving our awareness slowly back up the arms.
Past the shoulders.
And down toward the heart.
Perhaps noticing the heart beating in the chest.
Beautiful heart.
Always working.
Always working.
Whether we're awake or asleep.
Always working.
Supporting our body with love.
Perhaps we can feel the heart beating.
Perhaps we just notice the chest rising and falling with the breath.
As we notice the touch of the cloth of our shirt on the chest.
Moving the awareness down toward the stomach.
And noticing the stomach rise and fall as the breath comes in and out of the body.
Notice the belly expand.
The back ribs expand.
The lower back.
Taking note how the breath affects this beautiful vessel.
Noticing it fill up every space.
Every crack and every crevice.
We slowly move our awareness down toward the hips.
Allowing our hips to fully relax.
To be heavy.
Noticing the thighs heavy on the earth.
And the knees completely let go.
Moving our awareness down toward the shins and the calves.
Letting go of any tension in the calves.
Moving our awareness down to the feet.
Noticing any sensation in the feet.
These powerful legs.
The foundation of this vessel.
Bring us to where we love to go.
To see people in our life that we love.
To do the things we love to do.
To move.
To explore.
You can rest now.
You can rest.
Very slowly bringing our awareness back up toward the ankles.
And feeling the bones.
The bones in the entire body.
The skeletal structure that holds us up and creates this beautiful structure.
This support system in our body.
And noticing the veins running through the body.
Through the legs and the hips.
Through the arms and the neck.
If you zoom in close you can feel the blood moving through your veins.
Traveling.
Lubricating the body with life.
Filling the body with energy.
Noticing skin.
The skin on this entire body.
The skin that protects the body.
And makes us so beautiful and soft.
Skin covers the entire body.
From the feet to the head.
Noticing the joints in the body.
The knees.
The hips.
The shoulders.
The elbows.
The wrists.
To help us bend and move.
And dance.
We move our awareness from the ankles to the knees.
Up through the hips and the stomach.
As it rises and falls.
And the chest and the arms.
The throat relaxing any tension in the face.
Any tension in the face.
The body is heavy on the ground.
We'll take a deep vibrational breath.
Inhale.
Ah.
One more.
Inhale.
Exhale.
Ah.
Heavy.
Heavy.
Now I want you to imagine.
Imagine that you're laying in a beautiful field.
A green meadow with mountains around.
It's about 5pm.
The sun is starting to set.
You can see the beautiful clouds.
And a pastel sky.
Red.
And yellow.
And blue.
You can feel the sun on your face.
And the grass beneath you as you lay back and release any tension into the ground.
Heavy.
You can feel the breeze on your face.
And you can hear birds chirping.
And maybe other sounds.
Ambient sounds around.
And you look up to the sky as the sun starts to set.
And you can see like a warm blanket.
The night sky.
Caressing the sun.
The sun pours down over the mountains.
And you see like little twinkling lights.
The stars decorate the night sky.
You notice one star in particular.
So bright.
So bright.
And you can't help looking at it.
As it illuminates.
Sending a beam of light toward your face.
And you can feel the warmth of the light.
This beautiful white light.
Pouring out of your ears and nose and eyes.
As it starts to move down toward the throat.
Moves toward the shoulders.
Illuminating your arms and forearms and hands.
And like beams of light it shoots out of your hands.
Like a flashlight.
Glowing.
Moves back up your hands and down toward your heart.
Glowing in the heart.
Through the ribs.
Through the chest.
An abundance of light moves down toward the stomach.
Glowing in the stomach.
All of your organs being purified by this white light.
As it moves toward the hips.
The thighs and travels down toward the feet.
Shooting out like beams of light.
Pass the feet down into the ground below you.
Through the grass and the rock and the sediment.
And the tectonic plates through the earth.
Into the core of the earth.
This molten core being purified.
Shooting back up through the tectonic plates.
Through the mud.
Through the sediment.
To the grass beneath you.
Into your feet.
Through the legs and the thighs and the chest.
Expanding through the arms.
Shooting out the arms and the throat and the head.
Glowing this beautiful white light.
Expanding.
Illuminating and radiating out of your entire body.
As you feel your body getting lighter.
And lighter.
And lighter.
As you leave the physical body.
And start moving up into the night sky.
Higher.
And higher.
And as you turn around you can see this beautiful valley below you.
The mountains.
As you get higher and higher you can see the lights of the cities nearby.
And the cars driving.
As people go home toward the families.
To tuck their kids in bed.
To be a family.
And we get higher and higher.
And we can see the entire state or country that we're in.
And the lights of the nearby cities.
And the nature below.
As we get higher and higher and we can start to see the neighboring countries.
Perhaps part of the continent as we get further and further we can see the curvature of the earth.
As we start to reach the atmosphere.
And as we arrive at the atmosphere we notice the stars around us.
And this beautiful peaceful earth below us.
This earth that's been a home for us.
The only home we've ever known.
This loving,
This unconditional loving home that gives and gives and gives.
Truly unconditional.
And while we may have all these challenges and problems and wars and fighting and anger when we are on this earth.
We notice from a distance a deep peace.
A deep serenity and quietness that lies over this planet.
A strong frequency of peace emitting from the planet.
And we see this home as truly a place of peace.
And as we get further and further away from this earth,
From this beautiful planet.
It's blue and green.
We start to go into the night sky into the spaciousness of the galaxy.
From a distance we see what appears to be a small gas station.
A universal gas station floating in the galaxy.
And we get closer and closer and we see this gas station.
And we get up to the machine and we take the nozzle out for petrol.
But instead of petrol we turn the dial to compassion.
A compassion station.
And we take the nozzle and we start pouring it into our hands.
And we can start to feel this warm and gentle feeling of compassion filling up the hands.
And as it starts overflowing from the hands,
It travels through the veins up the arms,
Chest,
Head.
Pouring into each place in the body.
Overflowing with compassion.
And as it overflows through the body it starts pouring out.
Reaching all the way down to the earth.
And encompasses the earth.
And we take a moment to change the dial to love.
And we take the nozzle and start pouring love onto our head.
And as love cascades down the body like a waterfall.
We can feel it rushing like a stream through the blood,
Through the heart.
All the way through the body of love.
This deep feeling of love.
And we turn the dial one more time to serenity.
And this time as we press the nozzle we can feel serenity like a warm blanket traveling up from the feet.
And starting to encompass the entire body.
Soft,
Gentle serenity.
This deep okayness.
And slowly we feel ourselves getting heavier and heavier as we place the nozzle back.
And are magnetized and drawn back toward our home,
Back to the earth.
And we coast through space,
Cruising toward our home planet.
We enter toward the atmosphere and get slightly closer and closer until we can see our continent and the lights,
The little lights twinkling.
And as life fits outer space we get closer and closer until we can see our country and the cities around.
We get closer and closer.
We can see the lights of the cars and the darkness beneath like a sea of quiet.
And we get closer and closer until we can see our body in the meadow laying down.
And we arrive back into the body.
This beautiful body,
This home.
The only home we've ever known.
A home that gives and gives and gives.
A true,
Unconditional love.
It works and works no matter how we treat the body.
It just wants you to be happy and healthy.
And take a moment of gratitude for this beautiful body,
This beautiful home.
Asking for forgiveness.
I hope you can forgive me.
For any time I've ever hurt you or been ashamed of you.
I see that you're just trying to love me and give me the best life you can.
I'm sorry if I ever judged you or wanted something that you couldn't give me and was disappointed by.
I will do my best to take care of you through this life that we have together.
Take a deep inhale.
Vibrational breath.
One more inhale.
Ah.
And ever so slowly,
Ever so slowly.
Six three to five breaths soaking up every last bit of oxygen.
We'll find our way onto our right side in the fetal position.
And we're so slow.
Making this part of our meditation.
And traveling in any way that feels good to get there.
Maybe stretching along the way.
Or curling up.
And as we arrive on the right side.
Use our right hand as a pillow and our left hand can come to the heart.
We can take a deep vibrational breath.
Inhale.
And exhale.
And as if we were back at that universal gas station,
We can feel this love pouring into our hand.
And it starts to expand and encompass the heart.
And the entire body.
As it flows through the body effortlessly.
And into the earth beneath us.
And reaches everyone in the community around,
In the neighborhood,
Or the city.
You can feel the love traveling to each person as it arrives at each person.
In the grocery stores,
In the supermarkets,
The gas stations.
You can feel them smiling just for a moment as they feel your love.
Travels through the entire world,
All the way around the world.
And arrives in the back door of your heart in between the shoulder blades.
Filling your entire body with love.
True unconditional love.
I love you no matter what.
No matter who you are.
I love you.
We'll take a deep vibrational breath.
Inhale.
Ah.
If there are other people in the room with us,
And they're close enough to touch,
We can place our left hand on someone's body part,
On a leg,
Or the back of their heart.
Or we can keep our left hand on our heart.
And taking a moment to find those other people,
Or get closer with yourself.
And just noticing the compassion that we collected.
As we send compassion into our own bodies,
We can feel it overflowing like a cup full of compassion.
It overflows and starts filling the cups below and around.
And just like the love,
It travels around the world with compassion.
Compassion for each victim in the world.
And compassion for those who are hurting others.
That are truly deeply hurt themselves.
A deep compassion.
We'll take one more vibrational breath.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Ah.
Finding our hand back on our own heart.
And as if we have eternity.
The next three to five breaths.
Finding our way to a seated position.
Moving ever so slowly.
As if the body was made out of glass.
And ever so slowly.
To a seated position.
Finding a comfortable space as we sit.
Rolling the shoulders back and the spine grows long.
And as we start to move to a slightly deeper piece of this meditation process.
If there are others in the room we can take a minute and hold hands with those around us.
If it's us we can really take a minute to feel love pouring from our hands into the body.
And just let anyone around you and yourself know I've got you.
Everything will be okay.
You're safe here.
And everything will be okay.
You are welcome as you are.
We'll take a vibrational breath.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Ah.
And we'll come back to our own space where we can place our hands and our lap or on our knees.
And I want us now to imagine.
Imagine sitting in front of you.
Someone that you love very dearly in your life.
Maybe it's one person or maybe it's many.
These smiling faces in front of you beaming at you.
Maybe it's a parent or a sibling or a lover or a friend.
All of them smiling,
Smiling up at you.
And you can make eye contact with them if you feel.
And if you'd like you can give them a hug.
Thank you for being here.
Thank you.
And we can say to them in our minds.
I wish you love in your life.
You deserve love.
I wish you peace in your life.
You deserve peace.
I hope all of your dreams and wishes come true.
And you learn to dance through life.
You deserve to dance.
And thank you for being with me in this life.
You'll never quite know just how much I love you and how important you were to me.
Thank you.
And we can take a minute to smile and maybe give them a hug.
And as they dissolve into the background we'll take a deep vibrational breath and exhale.
And I want you now to imagine.
Imagine sitting in front of you as someone that you just happened to pass today.
Maybe on the street.
At the supermarket.
Someone that you don't quite know.
But just happened to pass you.
And they're sitting here in front of you this beautiful face smiling.
And we can thank them for being here with us today.
Thank you.
If we feel comfortable we can hug them.
Or maybe just bowing.
And we can let them know that I may never know you.
I may never meet you.
But I wish you love in your life.
You deserve love.
I wish you peace in your life.
You deserve peace.
I hope that all of your wishes and dreams come true.
I hope you learn to dance through life.
You deserve to dance.
And while I may never know you,
Thank you.
Thank you for being a part of this human experience with me.
For being alive.
For loving like I do.
For having fears like I do.
Thank you for sharing this human experience.
And if we'd like we can give them a hug.
Or we can just bow or place our forehead on their forehead.
And thank them for being here.
And as they dissolve into the background we'll take a deep vibrational breath.
Inhale.
And exhale.
And I want you now to imagine.
Imagine sitting in front of you.
Is someone in your life that may have hurt you.
Very deeply.
Maybe a parent or sibling or an old lover.
Maybe it's more than one person.
Someone that we struggle with.
That has hurt us or perhaps we have hurt.
And we can look at them and welcome them in a way that feels good for us.
As they sit there peacefully in front of us.
And we can say to them.
I hope you know that this may be very hard for me.
But I wish you love in your life.
You deserve love.
And I wish you peace in your life.
You deserve peace.
I hope that all of your wishes and dreams come true.
And that you learn to dance through life.
You deserve to dance.
And I'm sorry if there's ever been anything that I've said or thought that might have hurt you.
I would never want to hurt you.
And I may never know why.
You hurt me or I felt hurt by you.
But I now understand that you were very hurt yourself.
And you were just sharing that with me.
And I would never want you to be hurt.
I would never want you to hurt.
And while we may never be okay,
We may never talk,
We may never be able to spend time together.
But I will do everything that I can to send you love.
You deserve that love.
To send you peace and quietness.
You deserve that peace.
I will do everything that I can to forgive you.
And I hope you can forgive me.
I forgive you.
And if we'd like we can give them a hug.
Or send them love to wherever they may be.
And as we embrace we can take a deep vibrational breath.
And exhale.
One more inhale.
And exhale.
I want you now to imagine.
Imagine sitting in front of you.
This little version of yourself.
This little being.
Smiling.
Maybe they're scared.
Or lonely.
This little person.
Maybe two years old,
Maybe five,
Maybe eight.
Sitting here in front of you.
We can give them a hug or place our forehead on their forehead.
Or bow.
Let them know,
Hey little one.
I wish you love in your life.
You deserve love.
I wish you peace in your life.
You deserve peace.
I hope that all of your wishes and dreams come true.
And you deserve to dance through life.
I hope you get to dance.
I'm so sorry if there's ever been a time where I wasn't there for you.
I know you get scared sometimes.
I get scared too.
And I know you feel lonely sometimes.
I get lonely too.
And I just hope you know how much I love you.
I will do everything that I can to show you.
To hold your hand when you get scared.
To step up and give you a hug when you need it.
To send you love even when you're scared.
To encourage you when you need it.
I will do everything I can to be here with you.
I'm sorry if I haven't.
And I've missed you.
I hope you know that everything will be okay.
Everything will be okay.
And if we feel comfortable,
This little person can run up and hug us.
Or climb up onto our shoulders or we can place our foreheads together.
We'll take two deep vibrational breaths.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Maybe for the remainder of the meditation we keep this little person sitting next to us or on our laps.
Holding them close.
We'll take a deep vibrational breath in here.
And exhale.
I want you now to take a moment as we get a bit deeper.
To either take the hands of those around you.
Or to take your own hand.
Or just let yourself know,
Let this inner child know.
I got you.
Everything will be okay.
Everything will be okay.
And we can release the hands down.
We'll take a deep vibrational breath.
Inhale.
And exhale.
I want you now to imagine.
Imagine that you're laying down.
In a warm and cozy bed.
In a beautiful warm wooden room.
With colors of brown and green.
A very earthy room.
We can start to notice the warm colors or pictures.
Bookshelves.
As we lay back in this bed on a very special day.
A very special day.
It's our last day in this body.
Our last day on earth.
And we look to our right and in through the door.
There are so many people that we love.
Cascading into the door frame.
Through the room we see our parents.
Our partner,
Our friends,
Our siblings.
Our children who are now maybe grown.
And our grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
And kids running around.
And we see our partner on the left side and our parents on the right.
And our children sitting on the bed next to us.
On this very special day.
And we see ourselves.
The bed surrounded.
By those that we have loved and love.
Everyone here for us.
And our parents sit down and take our hand.
And we look at them.
And they say to us we are so proud of you.
We love you so much.
We are so sorry if there is anything that we have ever said.
To make you feel not enough or unloved.
That we are just doing the best we know how to do.
We are sorry.
We hope you can forgive us.
We love you.
And we are going to miss you.
And as we have their hands we can give them a little squeeze.
I forgive you.
I forgive you.
And we turn our head and look to the left and we can see our own children sitting on the bed.
Tears pouring down their face.
And we can take their hands and let them know I love you so much.
And I am sorry if there is anything that I have ever done.
To make you feel not enough or unloved.
I love you guys as you are.
I hope you can forgive me.
I was only doing what I knew how to do.
I am so proud of you.
I am so proud of you.
I hope you can forgive me.
And I love you.
And they smile down as you look at your partner or partners.
What a crazy life we have had together.
What a crazy life.
Thank you so much for being here with me.
For having my back when I needed it.
For supporting me.
For loving me.
For sharing your life with me.
I love you so much.
And I miss you.
We start to see these little children crawling up onto the bed.
Nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
And while they may not fully understand what is happening.
Let them know as they nuzzle up into our chest and legs.
I will always be here with you.
When you walk out to the ocean.
I will be there in the waves.
If you walk to the forest.
You will hear me in the wind.
If you walk to the meadow you will feel me in the grass.
And if you look up to the sky.
You will see me in the sun and the moon.
I will always be here with you.
And every time you remember me.
I will be here.
And I love you.
We start to look around the room at these beautiful faces from our life.
And we just smile.
For this beautiful life we've had.
This life with challenges and triumphs and growth and love.
We can see each person and let them know I love you.
I'm sorry if I've ever hurt you.
I hope you can forgive me.
And thank you.
Thank you for being a part of my life.
It's been a crazy life.
And you may never know how much I love you.
But I do.
And I will do my best in this next round to tell you more.
But I'm telling you now.
I love you.
We take a deep vibrational breath.
Inhale.
Ah.
And as we feel our bodies starting to get weaker and heavier.
We can lay onto our backs laying all the way down onto the ground.
Very gently.
Very gently.
And as we arrive onto our backs we start to feel the room that we were in.
And all of these beautiful people getting quieter and softer.
And dissolving.
As we feel warm and soft consciousness enter into the mind.
And the body dissolves.
And all that's left is this peaceful consciousness.
A safe,
Gentle,
And beautiful death.
As we start to notice this deep serenity running through.
We can witness our family in the room.
Lifting our body.
And walking it out like a parade,
A celebration of life.
Through the house,
Through the rooms.
And into a beautiful park or forest.
They walk and walk and place the body as they sing around our favorite songs.
And place this beautiful body into the ground.
And with our body they place a seed.
Of a mighty and strong tree.
And as they place dirt upon the body as they return this earthly body back to its home.
We can feel the nutrients of the body starting to arrive and nourish the earth around us.
The plants and the trees.
Dissipating into the earth contributing to the next cycle of life.
And our family shares stories of the beauty of our life and the memories that they had.
As this tree starts to sprout out of the heart.
And grow deep roots into the earth.
As the trunk rises and spirals out.
The branches reach wide,
Canopying over the earth beneath us.
And it starts to become very clear that our entire life,
The intentions we had,
The relationships and time we shared,
And the beauty that we saw.
We're all together and nourish this beautiful seed and earth around us.
That every beautiful intention will nourish this earth.
As our branches grow tall.
And the wind takes our beautiful life to every tree in person.
To the atmosphere and the energy surrounding the earth.
To the dirt and the soil.
As every plant and animal that comes near to our tree.
Will experience the full beauty and resonation of our life.
And our kids will come read under the tree and our grandkids will play.
We are always here with you.
I'm always here with you.
We'll take a deep vibrational breath.
Inhale.
And exhale.
Very slowly,
Very slowly.
In the next three to five breaths.
We'll find our way onto our right side.
Moving ever so slowly,
Ever so slowly.
And taking another moment to connect in.
And just giving ourselves a little bit of extra love.
Everything will be okay.
In the next three to five breaths we'll find our way into a seated position.
As if we have eternity.
And as we come up.
If there are others around us we can make a tight circle so that our knees are touching.
Or we're interspersed.
So we're in a little clump.
And if it's us in this beautiful room and we can give ourselves a little hug.
And if there's others then everyone can be holding hands or touching.
We'll take a deep vibrational breath.
Inhale.
And exhale.
We can take a moment to bow gently with our heads.
And gratitude.
Thank you to each and every one of you that has shared your time with me.
Thank you for letting me share this practice.
It's a very beautiful practice to share.
Thank you to all of those in our life that bring us love and challenges.
Thank you to those who help us grow and learn.
Thank you to those who came before us.
To make this earth and home such a beautiful place.
As you are,
So it is.
And as you are,
So it will be.
And may it seize and honors the enlightened in each and every one of you.
Namaste.
As you start to move into your life,
Into the evening or the day that is ahead of you.
Please,
Please take care of yourself.
Drink water,
Get rest.
Take a minute to journal or just to be present,
To integrate what you have learned and experienced.
You can always feel free to share.
It's always okay to share.
Thank you all for joining.
And I hope you have a beautiful,
Beautiful rest of your day,
Afternoon,
Evening.
You are loved.
You're loved.
And bring this little person,
This little being with you.
And during the day,
Check in with them.
How are you doing?
What do you need?
Thank you all.
Namaste.
Thank you.

It was very emotional from the part that I imagined a younger little version of me. Tears filled my eyes since I failed to this innocent, cheerful and dreamer version of me. Because of my mistakes I left her alone in this cruel place. I will try to make a better life for the older version of me.

I cried, my perspective shifted. I cried, my heart felt held. I cried, I felt love and I gave love. I breathed with a new pair of lungs. This is the best audio meditation I have ever done. Last year I moved to a new city, away from my physical meditation studio and community that I miss dearly. No audio meditation has come close to the experiences I had in my beloved studio. Until this meditation. I canβt believe it. Thank you thank you thank you.
