Welcome to this meditation.

Thank you for choosing yourself today.

Choosing to be kind to yourself,

Choosing to show up for yourself.

I want you to take note of where you are.

You could be inside,

You could be outside.

We're going to play the five senses game in which we bring in all five senses.

So first,

Your sense of sight.

I want you to look around and just take note of what you see,

All the colours,

The distance and the things that are very close like your own finger.

Next,

I want you to focus on your hearing and just close your eyes and listen to the things around you.

Maybe it's your own breath,

Cars passing by,

A washing machine,

Birds,

Your footsteps,

The shuffling of your feet.

Next your sense of smell.

I want you to think about what you smell.

If it's pleasant or not pleasant.

A few different things.

I then want you to focus on your touch.

You're not going to focus on taste at this time,

So touch will be our segue into the next segment.

What are points of contact you have with the world around you?

Or you yourself with your body,

Your hands on your lap,

Your feet on the ground.

Maybe it's even your hands on your heart.

Notice how it feels.

Notice how hard the ground below is and how you're very supported.

And I want you to realise how calm you are and how you're just thinking about what I'm telling you.

Your thoughts are racing all over.

You're just able to be here in this moment.

We often forget the power of being in the now and then being present with ourselves on the basic level of our senses.

But it's something that we can always return to.

And I thank you for joining.
