I want you to close your eyes and get into a comfortable position.
May that be sitting on a chair or lying down.
I want you to feel the areas of contact.
May that be your body with the bed or your bottom with the chair,
Your back leaning against the chair,
Your feet on the floor.
And I want you to bring your attention to those spots of contact and see how it feels.
Do you feel supported,
Grounded,
Connected,
Protected?
Then I want you to take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.
I want you to try to hold it one more time.
Think about what it means to breathe and be alive and that this very action keeps you alive.
Yet it happens naturally.
I want you to think about at least one thing that happens naturally that you could be thankful for in this moment.
Whether that be going to the bathroom,
Blinking,
Moving your fingers,
Walking,
Tying your shoes,
Putting on your clothes,
Speaking,
The many blessings which we often fail to notice.
I want you to try to watch your body and notice any point that could be tense or constricted.
Once you find it,
I want you to give it a hug,
A mental hug,
Hugging that part of yourself and just squeezing it with love,
Giving it compassion,
Protection,
Joy,
Love.
I want you to tell that part of yourself.
Thank you for letting me know that there's something bothering me.
I love you.
And I want you to notice another point if there's another point of anxiety or sadness inside of you.
I want you to go to that part.
I want you to say it's going to be okay.
Thank you for serving my body and being there for me.
I love you and I got you.
And then I want you to go to a part of your body that's really excited,
Excited for the good,
The good times,
The good memories,
The reasons you wake up in the morning,
The reasons you love life.
I want to recognize how it's in your mind.
You have the power to just think it up whenever you want.
And then I want you to tell this part of yourself.
Thank you.
And I want you to find one more spot that brings you joy.
I want you to tell that part.
Keep going.
Life gets hard sometimes,
But you will shine brighter.
You got this.
And I want you to look at all these parts as if you're in a karate class with them.
I want you to bow to each other and say thank you.
I am thankful to be me.
And then I want you to look back at yourself as if you were floating above yourself.
And I want you to just notice yourself and notice how special you are for even listening to this meditation,
For engaging in meaningful and purposeful actions and thoughts.
I want you to go back into your body.
I want you to look at yourself with amazement because you are a pure soul that is complete and shining.
And you get to watch all these things happening within you.
You are always purely being.
Now,
I want you to go on a path.
It could be a path of grass,
Pebbles,
Cement,
Tar,
Sand.
I want you to choose one of them and start walking.
I want you to feel your feet as it engages with the ground,
Whichever terrain you chose.
I want you to really focus on that experience of your feet moving and walking.
Just as a little child is learning to walk,
You are appreciating each step and each breath of your life.
You're walking and you see certain markers in your life and in this place that you're at which pull you in that direction.
You're following this path.
It's slightly curvy,
But you're doing your best to make the decision of which way to go.
You're trying your best.
You feel really good about that.
You don't have regrets or worries because you're pure as we all are.
You're walking and you get excited by each new marker that you choose to gravitate towards.
Each marker is almost like a turning point in your life,
Something that got you to be who you are today.
You simply are.
That's beautiful.
Then you see what seems to be a cabin in the middle of nowhere,
Just there by itself.
You say,
Okay,
This is where I'm going.
You notice this cabin and it's just calling your name.
It's almost as if your initials are engraved on one of the posts.
You actually realize when you get closer that it is.
You walk in and you know that this is the spot.
This is your spot to be who you fully,
Fully are,
To engage and transcend.
Feel God in this place.
You feel as though everything is super clear.
But you also know that things are most of the time not super clear.
But in this moment,
You just are.
You start talking.
You start talking like a pure innocent child.
You say what you need to say.
With each passing word,
You feel more and more at peace,
More and more cared for,
More and more free.
Everything in this cabin,
You feel more and more like being embraced and hugged.
Feel connected and heard.
You feel seen and loved.
There's no worry in the world.
You're just there in the moment.
There's no place to be.
There's nothing you're missing.
There's no phone distracting you.
You're just there with yourself,
God,
And nature around you,
In this warm place.
You sit.
You think.
Think about how lucky you are and how in all you are of the world.
Think about how it's so nice to have this connection and relinquish any fear,
Worries,
Or anxieties,
Any past traumas,
Or future uncertainties that can make you nervous.
You're just in this moment,
And it's so special.
You're just at peace.
You come back to wherever you are.
May that be on a bed,
On a chair.
You feel those points of contact.
You feel your breath.
You're ready to just continue living each moment of your life,
Each experience,
And you're thankful for this time.
When you open your eyes,
You feel as though you've been on a journey,
A pure,
Peaceful journey,
That it's a place that you can always tap into,
That you were thankful for this experience.
You're ready for the next moment.
Thank you.
