I invite you to find a comfortable seat,
A place that you can feel steady and strong,
But also have some softness,
Some relaxation.
So if you need to go to a different space,
If you need to be on a chair or be on the earth,
Please do so.
I love having padding.
I'm sitting on the floor here with a meditation cushion underneath my butt and some blankets underneath my knees so that I'm really well supported and that I'm able to feel a sense of evenness in the body.
I'm not leaning off to one side or the other.
There is a sense of symmetry.
You may choose to close your eyes if that's something that feels comfortable for you,
Or you can keep a soft gaze.
I recommend just resting the hands on the thighs.
You can always choose to do palms up,
But palms down might feel nice for its grounding nature and grounding energy.
I'm taking just a few more breaths to notice your posture,
To notice comfort or discomfort within the body.
What can you do to support yourself?
If you need to lean against a wall,
Please do as much as possible,
Inviting a sense of softness and ease down the back body,
Down the spine so you can relax through the legs,
The hips,
The lower body.
And bring attention down to the base of the tailbone.
And let's create a cord from the base of the tailbone down to the center of the planet.
Hook that cord into the center of the planet.
And then just like you were flipping on a light switch,
Just turn it on,
Release.
So you can release out through that cord,
Anything that's not you,
Anything that's not supportive,
Anything that's just not needed in this moment.
Knowing that it's not pollution to be releasing this energy,
You are simply putting and allowing the energy to go back to where it belongs.
There's no bad energy,
There's just misplaced energy.
Reaching into the center of the planet,
Let's grab some beautiful earth energy,
Pull it up through the soles of the feet,
Up through the legs,
Knees,
Hips,
And then down the grounding cord so that earth energy is running through us and is connected to us.
You'll reach way high up into the cosmos,
Grab some beautiful sparkly cosmic energy and pull it down through the crown of the head,
Down the back body,
All the way down to the hips where it mixes with that earth energy and get 10% earth energy and pull that mix of cosmic and earth energy up through the front body,
All the way up through the crown of the head,
And then allow it to spill out the crown of the head,
Filling up your aura,
Your energetic bubble,
About 12 to 18 inches away from the surface of the body,
Even on all sides.
So energy is running through you and you are running through that energy,
Earth and cosmic energy balanced within.
Bring your attention to the center of your head.
You find the center of the head by drawing a line straight back from the eyebrows and another line straight across the tops of the ears where those two lines meet.
That's the center of your head.
That is your place for freedom,
For quiet,
For wisdom.
And from the center of your head,
Looking out in front of you,
Notice the moon.
It can be a tiny sliver of a moon,
A half moon,
A full moon,
Big,
Small,
Illuminated,
Whatever it is that shows up for you.
Create and witness a connection with the moon.
Notice when you're aware of this moon that's in front of you,
Is there anywhere in the body and where in the body is it almost like you feel a reflection of the moon's energy,
Like almost a place that it's saying hello to the moon?
Just notice where do you feel connected to the moon or that lunar energy?
And watching that moon,
Start to see it change,
Start to see it move through its cycles of waxing and waning,
Slow and steady.
Maybe you notice how the change in that waxing and waning,
Maybe it changes how the energy is connected to the body.
Maybe you feel a different pull or a different location.
As this moon waxes and wanes,
Allow yourself to notice its rhythm.
This change happens smoothly and gradually.
It doesn't happen in fits and starts.
The speed doesn't change.
Slowly waxes and wanes.
It's predictable even as it shifts.
Isn't that an amazing thing,
An amazing gift?
Even as it's changing,
There's a constancy that underlies it.
Maybe you can feel and notice how that exists within yourself,
That through the many hats you wear as you go through your days,
The many roles you play,
The many situations you find yourself in,
There's also a constancy in your you-ness,
Very deep down.
When I look at the moon,
I often think about how it must have been such an experience to witness the moon moving through its cycles before they fully understood all the math and the science of what the moon is and why it's doing what it does and how we see it and the different phases of it.
Instead,
Every night to witness this changing orb in the sky and how for some time that must even seem frightening until you realize the pattern.
Suddenly,
The moon can become something you rely on,
Even knowing,
Ah,
The moon has disappeared tonight,
But it will be back tomorrow.
Noticing,
Are you in any new moon phases or something appears to be missing or lacking that may be just about to come back or may not come back for a long time,
But that there may indeed be a pattern,
A phasing to this thing.
Knowing that,
I'm not suggesting that,
If you lost an earring yesterday,
You're definitely going to find it tomorrow,
May not be so delightfully simple,
But instead trusting the underlying process of whatever is showing up or disappearing from your experience.
That is Shraddha,
The faith,
The trust that whatever is showing up is showing up when it is supposed to,
And whatever is disappearing is disappearing when it is supposed to.
And if we knew and trusted that all of these things are happening as they are supposed to,
Could that provide some solace,
Some calm,
Some peace?
From here,
You can release the moon from your view.
And if while I was talking and sharing,
If any old stories or fears,
Frustrations,
Sadnesses,
If anything showed up for you,
Perhaps even suddenly,
You can take a rose and imagine a rose out in front of you and use that rose to like a vacuum,
Kind of suck up or clean up those pictures,
Just taking them out of your space,
If they're not something you want or need to be looking at at this moment.
Once you've sucked up any pictures,
Hold the rose out in front of you and you can destroy the rose by just dissolving it completely or tossing a little lit match at the rose.
Just goodbye.
Again,
No good or bad energy just misplaced.
Let's put a gold sun above the crown of the hat.
In that gold sun,
Put the energy of curiosity,
Acceptance,
Playfulness and laughter,
Self-love and love of the divine,
Whatever form that takes for you.
Pop a hole in that gold sun and allow bright gold,
High vibration energy to spill into the crown of the head to fill all the cells of the body,
To fill your grounding cord,
To fill your aura.
And then as you're ready,
The next few breaths,
You can slowly open your eyes,
Return to this space.
