Hello beautiful soul,
This is Faith Hunter,
And today I'm going to guide you through a heart-soothing breathing practice.
This gentle meditative exercise is designed to calm your mind,
Soothe your heart,
And bring you into a state of peaceful presence.
It is especially helpful if you're navigating emotional distress or healing from emotional abuse.
Let's begin.
I want you to first find a safe,
Quiet,
And comfortable space where you will not be disturbed.
Know that you can sit in a chair,
On the floor,
Or even rest on your back.
For now,
Allow your arms to simply rest alongside your body or in your lap.
Gently begin to close your eyes or you can lower your gaze.
This is simply an act to support you in going inward,
Closer to your heart.
Once you feel settled in this space,
I simply want you to take a few easy breaths in and out of your nose.
Just notice the quality of your breath in this moment.
Simple and easy.
Inhale and exhale.
Now I'd like to invite you to place one hand over your heart,
And if it feels right,
You can place both hands there,
One palm on top of the other.
As your breath flows gently in and out,
I simply want you to feel the rhythm and warmth of your heart.
And as you feel this rhythm as you breathe in and out of your nose,
Maybe there are a few emotions that are surfacing.
It's okay.
Acknowledge them without judgment and know that I'm here with you in the safe space of your heart.
Now we're going to shift our breathing pattern a little.
I want you to slowly inhale through your nose for about a count of four.
And as you draw that breath in,
Imagine calmness and peace moving into your body,
Filling up your lungs completely.
And then hold the breath for a few seconds and allow this stillness in this moment to seep a little deeper into your heart and your mind.
Now exhale slowly.
Visualize releasing any tension,
Worry or sadness.
And then pause in that emptiness,
That space of tranquility and new beginnings.
Let's do this a few more times.
Inhaling nice and slow,
Feeling calmness and peace in your heart.
Hold the breath.
Let the stillness move over you.
Exhale.
Release the tension.
Let go of the stress.
Pause.
Reflect.
Feel a sense of ease.
Inhale.
Hold the breath.
Exhale.
Nice and slow.
Pause and be a witness to your healing.
Inhale.
Hold.
Exhale.
Be at ease.
One more round together.
Inhale.
Hold.
Exhale.
And just be.
Now take a deep breath in through your nose.
Exhale slowly out of your mouth.
Seal your lips and allow your breath to continue to flow evenly,
Smoothly in and out of your nose.
As you feel again that warmth and rhythm of your heartbeat,
Know that this simple soothing breathing practice is your powerful tool for healing on your journey.
It will help center your emotions,
Calm your mind,
And connect you to the present.
As you bring gentle movement back into your body,
As you blink those eyes open,
I encourage you to incorporate this into your daily routine,
Especially during those moments of stress or when you're feeling overwhelmed.
Thank you again for joining me.
I'm Faith Hunter.
And remember,
You are powerful,
You are loved,
And you are not alone.
Take care.
Ciao.
