Welcome to your Virgo meditation.
In this meditation,
We will be focusing on a classical breathwork technique that allows us to slow down,
Calm our nervous system,
And get present with our day ahead.
This simple breathwork technique is called box breathing,
And it is widely used and proven to be a supportive tool for overall well-being.
Benefits range from lowering stress levels,
Enhancing mood,
Gaining clarity,
Improving sleep,
And giving yourself the opportunity to replenish a dedicated connection to your sense of self.
The zodiac sign Virgo holds the breath as a sacred act.
By being here,
We are now saying yes and creating a devotional container to be within its magic.
This simple cleansing breathing pattern will guide us into a tranquil state of balance and stability.
This meditation can be done sitting comfortably with your back supported,
Or laying down,
Or if you find yourself outside within nature,
Find a serene spot to nestle into.
Drift your eyes closed if you feel safe to do so,
Or just lower your gaze.
We're going to take three breaths together to settle into this space.
Take a nice deep breath in through your nose,
And exhale out your mouth.
Another long,
Deep breath in,
And exhale slowly,
Relaxing your face,
Dropping your shoulders,
And shoulders.
One more time,
Inhaling,
Filling up your belly,
Then your chest.
Hold it at the top for a moment,
And audibly sigh and let it go.
We are anchoring into the body and arriving into the present moment.
There is nowhere you need to be.
There is nothing for you to do.
You are here for a reason,
And you're right on time.
If you feel your mind wander,
That is not a problem at all.
It's natural.
Just release whatever thought you may have,
And come back to your next breath.
With Bach's breathing,
We will follow a calming,
Deep rhythm of inhaling for four seconds,
Holding our breath for four seconds,
Exhaling for four seconds,
And holding our breath again for four seconds.
Four seconds in,
Four seconds hold,
Four seconds out,
Four seconds hold.
An equal square or cycle of mundane breathing.
I prefer to breathe in and out through my nose,
But if you prefer to exhale out your mouth,
You're more than welcome to do so.
Whatever intuitively feels right for you today.
You will follow my lead as I count.
Let's prepare by exhaling out of our mouth together.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two.
Now release the counting from your mind and return back to your natural breathing.
With each breath in,
We are expanding,
And with each breath out,
We are contracting,
Creating our own rhythmic spiral of sacred breath.
Keep breathing.
Notice how your mind is.
Notice how your body feels.
Notice how your energy is.
Let's take a long breath in through the nose.
Before we do another round of box breath,
Let's set a simple,
Practical intention for ourselves.
Nothing big,
Doesn't have to be big,
Just something sacred to you,
An intimate devotion to yourself.
Whether that intention is slowing down your pace for the day,
Or being more present in your choices and actions,
Maybe it's giving yourself more space,
More grace today.
Or if you need to surrender or release any stuck energy or feelings,
Whatever it is,
Give yourself a moment to ruminate over an intention.
All right,
Let's prepare again by taking a nice,
Long breath in,
And a slow exhale out.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold.
Release the counting,
And come back to your natural breathing.
With your eyes still closed,
Breathe in deeply.
You are sacred,
And so is your breath.
And release.
There is magic in the breath.
There is magic in the mundane.
Here is your permission to be just as you are,
Cradled within your intuitive power.
I hope you can come back to your breath at some point again during the day today,
With the knowing that it is always accessible,
Always a supportive tool.
As you make these natural attunements to your breath and your energy,
You can feel more aligned,
More whole,
And more grounded.
Take another breath in.
When you honor your rituals and goals and devotions,
Clarity comes in.
It starts to shift your everyday,
Which then ripples out into your weeks,
Then into your months,
Then into your seasons and cycles,
And keeps you on your soul path.
Let's take one more final breath together in the holy union of mind,
Body,
And spirit.
And exhale,
Slowly opening your eyes.
Give your body,
Your sacred temple,
A nice,
Long stretch.
Welcoming yourself back home,
Back to your sanctuary.
I'm sending you all the blessings,
My beloved.
