Welcome,

And thank you for joining me today.

Please take a moment to arrive fully in this space and find a comfortable position where your body can relax.

I'll invite you to close your eyes and bring your attention inward.

Today we're calling upon the spirit of the body,

The ancient living wisdom that always knows what is true for us.

We ask to be shown the felt sense of yes and the felt sense of no.

We'll begin by taking a few deep breaths,

Inhaling through the nose and exhaling through the nose.

And with each breath,

I'll ask you to imagine roots extending down into the earth,

Anchoring you in safety and support.

As we sit and breathe together,

Feel your energy dropping down into the earth,

Into those roots and grounding fully for this practice.

In shamanic work,

Anytime we speak to spirit or the spirit of a thing,

Such as the body,

We want to be as grounded as possible in order to receive those messages clearly.

And as you sit in this space and continue to breathe,

Really feel your energy,

Your body dropping in,

Dropping down,

Allowing gravity to take over and allowing yourself to feel held here.

Silently,

We're going to say,

Spirit of my body,

I invite you to show me what it feels like to say no.

Immediately,

We trust your body to guide you in a way that is clear and true.

Now we bring awareness inward,

Noticing what arises as the body speaks no.

It may be a sensation,

It may be a tightening,

A pulling back,

A heaviness.

It may even come as a memory,

An image,

Or simply knowing,

Ah,

This is what no feels like.

There are no wrong answers here.

Just notice.

Breathe with it.

Let your body reveal its language to you.

Now we're going to take another deep breath and exhale to release all residue of no.

You may move your shoulders gently if you'd like,

As though you're loosening what you do not need to hold.

Now call upon the body again.

Spirit of my body,

I invite you to show me what yes feels like.

Notice what stirs within you.

Does yes feel like expansion,

Warmth,

Lightness,

A gentle leaning forward?

Perhaps it arrives as a color or a sound,

An intuitive whisper.

Observe,

Lean in,

And trust what arises for you now.

Now we're going to take another breath and release the yes.

I'm going to spend a few moments comparing the two experiences,

The felt sense of no and the felt sense of yes.

Notice how your body's wisdom is unique,

Clear,

Reliable.

And finally,

We're going to ask the spirit of the body if there's anything else that you need to see around this topic.

Is there a memory of no that you have forgotten about?

Is there a memory of yes that maybe you didn't listen to?

Is there some knowing within your body of what's preventing you from hearing your intuition clearly?

And if so,

We would like to see it now.

Now we're going to take a second to thank our body,

To thank the spirit of our body and our intuition for the guidance that they've given today.

Carry this awareness with you.

Know that you always have access to these signals.

And with each decision,

You can ask,

Does this feel like yes or does this feel like no?

And the more you ask your body,

The more it will respond,

The clearer the responses get.

Take a final breath in,

Feeling gratitude.

In a deep exhale,

Releasing into ease and peace.

And when you're ready,

Gently return to waking awareness.

Wiggling your fingers and toes,

Opening your eyes.

And coming back with clarity and trust.
