Transcript
In this recording,
We're going to feel free.
Free of having to be anyone,
To meet any expectations.
Free from having an endless list of tasks and things to do.
Free from the busyness of life.
So that we can feel grounded,
We can feel present.
We can empty out and just breathe and feel free.
And by the end of this session,
I'd like for you to feel lighter,
More uplifted.
And have a kick in your step,
Have more energy.
And to be able to go through life without feeling burdened.
And tired by all the different things we have to do day to day.
This is a good opportunity to reset and just empty out and feel light.
So let's go ahead and begin.
Go ahead and get seated comfortably or lay down and close your eyes.
And let's breathe a few times.
And with every breath,
We're simply going to release burdens of life.
And that's it.
And for you,
That could mean anything you want it to mean.
Your chores,
Your tasks.
And this 9 to 5 grinding,
Hustling,
Taking care of your family.
We're going to set all of that aside just for the next few minutes.
So we can feel some relief.
And we can release some anxiety,
Some tension,
Anxiousness.
And feel lighter.
So go ahead and take a deep breath in.
And with this breath,
We're preparing to let go.
And exhale.
Deep breath in.
And exhale.
Deep breath in.
And exhale.
You can close your eyes if they're not closed already.
And just have your body feel really,
Really soaked in and supported with your chair or your bed.
And you know,
When we try to let go of things,
Our thoughts try to often fight back.
In our thoughts,
Our mind will say,
We have bills to pay.
We can't slow down.
We have our grind.
We can't slow down.
We've got to hustle.
We can't slow down.
Of course,
There are things to do.
That's really understandable.
But it's all going to get done anyways.
Regardless of whether or not you take a few minutes to rest.
But the most important thing is,
When you do rest,
Like we're getting into right now.
When you do rest,
You're going to be able to go through your day in a more relaxed way.
Free of stress,
Anxiety,
Anxiousness.
And if not free of those things,
Then at least with a lesser amount.
Less stress and less anxiety.
So let's set these things aside.
Just for a few minutes.
All the should dos,
Must dos,
Have to dos.
Always striving,
Needing to create,
Desiring,
Reaching,
Seeking.
Let's just park it to the side.
Just for a few minutes.
So that we can breathe and reset.
And what we'll do is we'll let go of life,
Our stories,
Our identities,
From our bodies.
Rather than from the mind.
The mind is just a trap.
The mind will always rationalize ways to keep you busy.
Keep you hustling.
Always go,
Go,
Go.
Yeah,
So we'll work from a place of our bodies.
So what that means is from our body,
We will be letting go and releasing.
So now go into your body.
Instead of being with your mind,
Being with your emotions,
Be with the physical body.
And I'd like for you to find tension in the body and let go of that tension.
Go deep in your letting go through your body.
So how do you let go through your body?
You find tension and you release that tension.
Go into a state of absolute relaxation.
As though an anesthesiologist just gave you a shot.
To put you,
To prep you for surgery.
Right?
That he or she has completely knocked you out.
Let your body completely go.
Let your body completely soak into your chair.
If you're holding your head up in your chair,
Let your head rest against your chair if possible.
Let your shoulders drop.
Let your body sink into your chair or into your bed.
Find where you have tension.
You have tension around your shoulders,
Around your neck.
Do you have tension in your chest?
Let it go.
Let it go sincerely,
Deeply,
With a lot of intention.
As though you fainted.
Your body has no tension it's holding.
As though you're in the deepest sleep possible.
Your body is actually unaware of stress and tension.
At that deep level.
Release tension from your body at that deep level.
You have tension in your abdomen.
Around your belly button.
In your hips and your thighs.
Calves,
Feet and toes.
How about your head?
We keep a lot of tension in our eyebrows.
Sometimes in our cheeks,
In our forehead,
Around the ears.
In our throat.
Just let it go.
Now,
To be clear,
We're not working from the place of the mind.
We are releasing from the body.
So from the body we continue to release stress and tension.
Where do you feel tension in your body?
Let it go.
You see,
This has nothing to do with should-do's,
Must-do's.
Endless list of tasks and activities.
That's all in the mind.
We're in the body right now.
From the depths of your core.
Let go of everything you're holding on to in your body.
Sometimes with our full bodies we feel tension.
It's not a specific area,
It's the whole body.
Sometimes the tension feels as though it's encapsulating the body.
As though it's energy around the body.
Let that go as well.
Disidentify with your stress and tension in and around the body.
Become unattached from it.
It is not part of you right now.
You don't need this to perform in life.
You don't need the stress and tension to be in your A-game all the time.
We are resetting the body.
When the body is in a calm,
Relaxed state.
That's when it heals.
That's when it feels grounded.
That's when you have more energy and you're more focused.
Let's breathe together.
Deep breath in.
And exhale.
Deep breath in.
And exhale.
Deep breath in.
And exhale.
Where do you sense tension?
Let's go top-bottom.
Do you feel tension at the very top of your head?
On your forehead?
Around your eyebrows?
Around your eyes?
Around your nose and your cheeks?
Your mouth?
Your ears?
Let it all go.
It doesn't serve you right now.
We don't need the stress and tension right now.
Move down to your throat.
And around your neck,
The sides,
The back,
The front.
Down to your shoulders.
Oh,
We keep a lot of tension around our shoulders,
Don't we?
Let that go now.
Let that go.
From both sides of your shoulders.
From the front,
The back,
The collarbone.
And moving down to the front of your chest.
Let go.
Let go of any stress and tension.
Within your chest,
There could be a lot of stress and tension in your body.
Let go.
Let go of any tightness that you feel.
Release,
Release,
Release.
It doesn't serve us anymore.
Go down to your abdomen.
Do you feel any tension within your abdomen?
Let that go.
Sometimes we store a lot of heavy emotions in our abdomen.
A lot of fears.
Let it go for now,
Just set it aside.
Go down to your back.
From the top of your back down to your bottom.
Down to the bottom of your back.
Let go.
Down to your hips,
Your glutes,
Your groin,
Your thighs.
Let go.
Down your calves,
Your feet,
And your toe.
You're safe here,
You're safe in this moment.
There's no need to be in our usual high stress fight or flight mode.
A lot of fears,
A lot of go,
Go,
Go.
A lot of ambition,
A lot of drive.
All of that can wait.
None of that exists in this moment.
None of that exists in this moment.
And now,
From your awareness of your body,
Let go of who you think you are.
Let go of who you think you are.
How do you perceive yourself?
A good person,
A bad person,
An honest person,
A hard worker,
A procrastinator.
Let go of all of that.
Are you honest,
Sincere,
Hardworking?
Do you sometimes feel like you're not honest,
You're deceitful?
Forget about all of these things.
Forget about your perspective of yourself.
Are you a good father,
Good mother,
Good daughter?
Let go of all of that.
Are you a millionaire,
Striving to be a millionaire?
Are you trying to make it in the world?
Let go of that.
Are you a meditator?
Are you a teacher?
Are you a business person?
Are you a homeowner?
Forget about all of that.
Let go of everything you are,
Everything you believe you are.
Do you feel that you're a contributor to society?
That that's part of your story,
Your identity?
That you're here to help people?
Let go of that.
Let's just take a breath and take it easy.
Let's let go of everything we think we are,
Because this is where there's a lot of story,
A lot of expectation,
A lot of demands we put on ourselves.
Let go of it all.
Empty out fully.
Who do you think you are?
What's your self-perception?
Who do you believe yourself to be?
What's your purpose in life?
Forget about all of it.
Yes,
I know some of these things are important for you.
They can be important after this period of rest that we're going through.
Let go of your self-perception.
Let go of your story.
Let go of these things from the body,
Not the mind.
The mind is full of mental constructs.
I am this way.
I fit in this box.
I follow this religion.
I'm Christian,
Muslim,
Jewish,
Hindu,
Sikh,
Buddhist.
This is my religion,
My set of beliefs.
Set it all aside.
Just take a break.
Take a break.
Whether you believe in God or don't believe in God,
Whether you believe in your neighbor or your children,
Or you're proud of yourself or you're proud of your friends and family,
Forget about everything just for a few minutes.
Just for a few minutes,
Empty out.
See what it feels like when you empty out fully,
Where you're no one.
You have nothing to be,
You have no identity.
Let go of your identity.
Let go of your story.
It's like a big release,
Just dropping a whole bunch of weights that you're carrying,
Or a heavy suitcase.
Fill your story and your identity.
In a suitcase.
Fill it.
Put everything in there.
Everything.
Your self-perception,
Who you think you are,
Your beliefs,
Your story.
Your life as you know it.
Your life in your city,
In your province or state,
Your country.
Even your state of being as a person.
Even your state of being.
Put it all in a suitcase.
Zip it up.
Set it aside.
Drop everything.
Feel free.
Let's breathe.
Deep breath in.
And breathe out.
Deep breath in.
And breathe out.
Deep breath in.
And breathe out.
You are nameless.
You have no identity,
No story.
You are no one.
Empty out fully.
Empty out.
Empty out.
With a level of intensity.
As though you know you're a moment away from death.
Yes.
Where you know your story will permanently end.
And there's nothing you can do about it.
Release control.
Release control.
Drop everything.
Release your identity,
Your story,
Your self-perception,
Your beliefs.
Everything that makes up who you are.
As though you're a moment from death.
And now let's experience that death.
And I'm talking about the death of the mind.
The death of ego.
The death of our suffering.
Of this constant gnawing of the mind.
This constant state of hyperactivity.
The death of the ego.
The ego mind pain body.
As though you no longer exist.
Let it all go as though you no longer exist.
Your story is over.
You've emptied out.
And let go as though there is a fire that burns within you.
And this fire is the fire of freedom.
The taste of freedom.
Of experiencing life without caring anything.
Without caring your burdens,
Demands,
Expectations.
You're now free.
You're as light as air.
Lighter than air,
In fact.
You're free.
You're free.
And feel that inside.
And we'll say it in the first person.
I'm free.
I'm free at last.
I'm free of suffering.
Finally I'm free.
Finally my suffering has ended.
As a newborn baby I have no name.
No identity.
No story.
No expectations.
No burdens.
I am free.
I am light.
I can fly.
It's a new life.
A chance to start again.
A chance to start again.
There's nothing to do.
No one to be.
Just in this moment.
Nothing to strive for.
Feel it in your body.
Feel that freedom.
And if you spot any tension that's come up in the body,
Let it go.
Let it go.
Let it go as though there's a fire that burns deep within you.
And that fire is that intention to be free.
To let go of your suffering.
The mind is a serpent.
Maybe for some of you listening to this,
The mind might say,
Wow,
I feel emptied out.
I can now go and do stuff.
No,
No,
No.
That is the trickery of the mind.
Stay in this moment of not having to do anything.
Not having to be anyone.
Not having story.
Extract yourself from your life.
Extract yourself from your identity.
Be in a state of pure freedom.
And freedom is a non-state actually.
So if you're feeling a state of being,
Even let that go.
If you're feeling wonderful emotions,
Don't get caught up in it.
Be in your body.
Be in that feeling.
In the body state of no tension.
Not in the thoughts or the feelings.
At last,
Nothing to do,
No one to be.
No story to carry.
No burdens.
No more pain and suffering.
Drop the body.
Let it go.
Previously I was saying drop your story.
Now I'm saying drop your body.
Let go of the importance of your body.
I'm not saying don't take care of yourself.
I'm saying we're pausing all of our things to do.
And we're in a place of letting go and intense,
Intense.
Letting go of control.
Letting go of striving for results.
Let go of the body.
What does that do for you?
Let go of the body.
Surrender to this moment.
And this moment is all that exists.
This awareness of the present moment.
Unattach from the body itself now.
And be intensely in the now.
Unattach from the body.
The body is of no consequence right now.
Unattach.
Let go.
Let go.
Drift away.
Away into this present moment.
Go deeper and deeper into this present moment.
Completely letting go of the body.
Go deeper and deeper in this present moment.
Nothing exists.
There's no reality right now.
There's no matrix.
There's no life on earth.
It's just blackness.
It's quiet.
Just go deeper and deeper and deeper.
And deeper.
Let go.
Let go.
Go deeper.
Completely unattached from reality.
Nothing exists.
Complete blackness.
Nothing exists.
If you feel the ringing in your ears,
That's okay.
It's a very high frequency.
Be it a complete and unattached from that itself.
Let go of your body.
Let go of reality.
Let go of any mental constructs.
Keep all your awareness in the now.
Let go of your perception of being in this emptiness.
Who's the perceiver?
Let go of perception of this emptiness.
Reality doesn't exist anymore.
And your perception of that doesn't exist anymore.
You don't exist anymore.
You've disappeared to the point where you're the embodiment of nothing.
A complete emptying out.
You've disappeared as a person.
You don't exist anymore.
There's no need for me to guide you anymore.
There's nothing I can see.
So there's two things you can do.
You can continue to experience this.
Or you can open your eyes and go about your day.
Either way,
You'll be in a place of nothingness.
You'll be no one,
Nameless,
Reborn,
Starting from a clean slate.
And completely relaxed.
No stress or anxiety.
And I encourage you to repeat this as many times as needed.
And the more you do it,
The more this becomes permanent.
Imagine going through life,
Being this emptied out.
You'll be just as productive,
Even more.
But you will have disappeared.
You will have become non-attached.
And I want to clarify something about non-attachment.
Non-attachment and detachment are not related.
Detachment means I don't care anymore.
It means you're apathetic.
Non-attachment means I do care about everything that happens.
But I just don't have enough of a stake in everything for it to bring me down,
For it to burden me.
That's all it means.
Detachment is freedom.
It means you're not controlling the outcome.
You're not focused on the end result.
You're willing to flow with life.
You're willing to let things happen for you.
It's a beautiful place to be.
I hope our time together helped you.
I wish you the very best.
And I encourage you to repeat this recording as many times as you need to.
Take care and be well.
