Begin by preparing yourself and your sacred space to meditate.
Bring a candle and burning some incense.
Turn off your phone.
Any distractions and notifications.
And give yourself this gift of 15 minutes of chanting just for yourself.
Settle in finding a nice comfortable neutral posture.
Body upright,
Aligned,
Relaxed and resilient.
Make an intention to be here present and alert.
We start with deep cleansing breaths.
Breathing in slowly and deeply through your nose and breathing out gently through your mouth making a soft sighing sound letting all the air out.
Do this twice more on your own.
Continue to breathe in and out deeply and slowly through your nose.
Shakyamuni Buddha's wrapped his awakening with the five characters of Myoho Rengekyo and with his great compassion gave them to us.
When we chant Myoho Rengekyo all his merits and virtues are naturally transferred to us.
The energy of wisdom and compassion can be generated from within us.
That is the energy of the Buddha inside.
The Buddha is always there within you and you can touch the Buddha anytime you like.
If you're able to enjoy yourself then the healing and transformation will take place.
Your practice is not for yourself alone.
It benefits the whole world.
Chanting Myoho Rengekyo expresses our trust and confidence in the wondrous Dharma nurturing the seeds of our Buddhahood and the lives of others.
Please chant along with the recording.
Chant as many repetitions of Myoho Rengekyo as you can without pushing or straining.
Find a nice natural rhythm that works well for you with the balance between effort and ease.
When you breathe breathe in slowly and calmly through your nose before rejoining the chanting on either Namu or Myoho.
Try to pace your in-breath to be the length of one full repetition of Namu Myoho Rengekyo.
Namu Myoho Rengekyo.
Breathing in,
I know I am breathing in.
Chanting Namo Myoho Renge Kyo,
I know I am chanting Namo Myoho Renge Kyo.

With joy,
Knowing the Buddha is always present within me and around me.
With humility,
Knowing I am interconnected with all beings and things.
With accountability,
Accepting responsibility for my actions.
Deeply trusting and confident in Myoho Renge Kyo as if my life depends on it.
I know that all the Buddha's teachings,
Practices,
Virtues,
And merits are contained in Myoho Renge Kyo.
When I chant Myoho Renge Kyo,
I activate the seeds of my own Buddha nature,
Which will grow up out of the earth and water into a beautiful lotus flower.
This flowering looks like I am virtuous,
Living with compassion and loving kindness,
Manifesting the eightfold path and the six perfections in my thoughts,
Words,
Deeds,
Throughout my daily life.
I am wise,
Feeling clearly,
Letting go of debilitating attachments,
Seeing clearly,
Responding to circumstances in a positive and healthy manner,
And thinking clearly,
Resulting with wisdom and compassion.
I am powerful.
I have the strength,
Courage,
And capacity to live with joy,
Openness,
Gratitude,
And equanimity.
I am able to positively influence my mind,
Body,
And environment in wholesome ways.
I am fearless,
Free of fear and anxiety.
I take care of myself every day with meditation,
Exercise,
Good food,
Plenty of rest,
And surrounding myself with good friends.
I am mindful to live in the moment,
Aware of forms,
Feelings,
Mental states,
And phenomena in and around me.
I am liberated,
Free from self-doubt,
Anger,
And fear,
Able to live fully engaged in each moment.
Breathing in,
