Welcome to this tapping meditation,
Quieting the critical voice,
Otherwise known as the monkey mind.
This practice is designed to help you find calm amidst the chatter of your inner critic and create space for self-compassion and kindness.
Together we'll acknowledge these noisy thoughts,
Soften their grip and replace them with loving affirming beliefs.
As you follow along,
Give yourself permission to let go of judgment and embrace the truth.
You are enough,
Just as you are.
Tapping on the side of your hand,
Repeat the words after me.
As always,
If there are other words that come up for you that resonate more,
Please use them.
The more specific we can be,
The better the body will respond.
Tapping on the side of the hand,
Even though I feel this monkey mind chattering so loudly right now,
I deeply and completely accept myself.
And even though I often feel unkind thoughts running through my mind,
I choose to open up to self-compassion.
And even though this chatter feels overwhelming,
I honour my feelings and I'm willing to create space for kindness.
Tapping through the points,
Eyebrow point,
This monkey mind is so loud.
Side of eye,
It keeps jumping from one criticism to another.
Under the eye,
It feels like I can't quiet these thoughts.
Under the nose,
This chatter feels so overwhelming.
On the chin,
It's hard to silence this monkey mind.
On the collarbone,
It's always telling me I'm not enough.
Under the arm,
It feels exhausting to deal with this constant critical chatter.
Top of head,
But I'm willing to acknowledge it's here.
Eyebrow,
This monkey mind might be trying to protect me.
Side of eye,
It might think it's keeping me safe.
Under the eye,
But it's causing me so much stress.
Under the nose,
Maybe I don't have to believe everything it says.
Chin,
I'm open to softening this chatter of this critical voice.
Collarbone,
Maybe I can start to let go of its grip on me.
Under the arm,
I don't have to listen to every thought it throws at me.
Top of head,
I'm ready to release this noisy chatter.
Eyebrow,
I'm choosing to be kind to myself right now.
Side of eye,
I can treat myself with the compassion that I deserve.
Under the eye,
I'm open to seeing myself with love and understanding.
Under the nose,
I'm willing to speak to myself gently and with compassion.
On the chin,
I can choose calmness instead of chaos.
Collarbone,
I am enough just as I am.
Under the arm,
I am safe to let go of the monkey mind's chatter.
Top of head,
I deeply and completely accept myself.
Eyebrow,
I am learning to quiet the monkey mind.
Side of eye,
My worth is not defined by these noisy thoughts.
Under the eye,
I am human and it's okay to be imperfect.
I'm just gonna stay here under the eye and say that again.
I am human and it is okay to be imperfect.
Under the nose,
I choose love and peace over chaos.
On the chin,
I am proud of the progress that I have made.
Collarbone,
I am building a relationship of self-compassion.
Under the arm,
Every step I take is enough.
We're gonna stay here on the collarbone and repeat this again.
Every step I take is enough.
Coming to the top of the head,
I am worthy of my own love and kindness.
Let's come back to the side of the hand,
Tapping here to close.
Even though the monkey mind sometimes chatters away,
I know it doesn't speak the truth.
I am choosing calm,
Self-compassion and love every day.
I am enough,
Just as I am.
I am enough,
Just as I am.
You can stop tapping and just take a full deep breath here and release.
One more breath in through the nose and release.
I wish you a calm and productive day.
