Your habits create incremental steps for you to achieve your dreams. Through this meditation, you'll become addicted to achieving your healthy habits. Follow it with focus and you will see your daily motivation increase tenfold.

Welcome to this meditation on becoming addicted to your habits.

My name is Ruben and I'm grateful that you chose me as your guide today.

In this meditation we will take the time to really focus in on what your why is behind your habits,

So that you can achieve the goals that you have.

To do so,

We will dive into the pain that you would experience for not changing your life and not taking action on your habits.

And in the second part we will go into the space of associating a huge amount of pleasure to applying your habits and what beautiful effects that will have on the long term in your life.

If you haven't already done so,

Take a moment right now to write out your habits,

Your new habits or the habits that you've been applying but maybe not consistently.

Write them out.

What is it exactly that you want?

I want to meditate consistently one hour per day.

I want to work out five times per week.

I want to read ten minutes of a self-development book per day.

Whatever habit it is,

Write it out.

And if you need some time,

Please pause this audio.

Now,

Sit in a comfortable upright position.

For this meditation,

It's important that you focus.

Through some questions,

I'm going to create pictures in your head which are going to be helping you to associate pain to not changing and pleasure to the beautiful change you need in your life.

If you have written out multiple habits,

Then choose one for now and you can do the second one again by replaying this audio.

If you have chosen your habit,

Then I want you to focus on your breathing first.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Breathing in,

Breathing out.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Take a moment to connect with your heart by putting your hands on your heart and feel the beating of your heart.

And whenever thoughts arise,

Just allow yourself to return to the presence of your heart.

The beating of your heart.

Now ask yourself this question.

What has it already cost me that I'm not applying my habits?

What pain have I already experienced because I haven't been applying my healthy habit?

What has it cost me that I haven't been applying my healthy habit?

And allow yourself to see all the things that it already has cost you.

All the moments where you felt pain,

Unhappiness,

Less focused,

Less energetic,

Less loving,

More fear.

Just take those moments by visualizing,

By re-experiencing your past.

Who have you hurt because you haven't been applying this new healthy habit?

Are there people in your environment that might have been hurt because you weren't so present or energetic with them?

Did you get angry with them or sad because they did something?

Whatever it is,

See the faces of the people that you love,

But they're disappointed.

One of those experiences where you disappointed someone.

Allow the emotion of pain to come over you and realize that it's all because you haven't been applying your healthy habits.

And now allow yourself to go into the future.

Starting with three months.

If you go three months into the future,

You've not been applying your habit.

What effect has it had on your life?

What effect did it have on your body,

On your feelings,

On your relationships with others,

On your career,

On your mission in life,

On your health?

See the negative effects,

See them taking place.

And now to expand that even further,

Allow yourself to go one year into the future.

Now see how painful this experience was and please enlarge in the pain even further.

Make it exaggerated.

If you haven't been working out for a year,

Then you see yourself being incredibly fat and unable to move or to sit in a chair.

Make those examples ridiculously intense so that you actually feel like if that would happen to me,

Oh my God,

That would be so horrible.

I do not want that in my life.

What are the effects that it has on a year in regards to your relationships,

Your health,

Your career with whatever habit you're experiencing or not doing any more right now?

What is the effect that you're experiencing?

Go one year in the future and see it,

Feel it,

Hear it,

Taste it.

And now let's make a leap five years into your future.

You haven't been applying the habits you've just written out in the next five years.

You haven't done anything with them,

Didn't do anything at all.

And therefore you are now experiencing the most intense,

Painful life situation.

Which amazing people have left your life?

Which mission have you not been able to fulfill and therefore you feel absolutely shit?

Have you been fired from your job?

Have you lost your company?

Are you noticing you're unable to get out of the house because your body is just in a completely devastated state?

What are those negative impacts that not applying your habit have had on your life and make them even ten times bigger and expand that pain inside of yourself?

Allow it to fully circulate through your body.

No,

This is not what I want.

I hate this.

And if there's any kind of feeling that arises with it that creates a sound,

Maybe you want to just like scream a little bit,

Cry a little bit.

Allow that emotion to come out.

Experience it.

And now go as far into your life as you need to.

Maybe 30,

40 years into the future and you're sitting in this like rocking chair at your house and you're looking back on your life.

And you're thinking about everything that you could have done that you didn't do.

Your life is almost coming to an end.

And you just in full regret of everything that you've not accomplished.

See yourself in that moment being sad,

Being frustrated,

Being angry with yourself,

Being depressed.

All because you decided not to take action on your habits.

Now,

Did you know that cucumbers are 90% water?

And did you know as well that we as human beings are 70% water?

So by my calculations,

If cucumbers are 90% water or 70% water,

Then that means that we're 63% cucumber.

Very interesting,

Right?

Yeah,

You know,

Life is full of surprises.

And let's create another surprise right now.

Sit up straight again.

And now we're going to be focusing on the part where you actually have been applying your new habits.

We're going to go again three months into the future.

And just see the effect that your new habit has had on your life.

You've been applying it so consistently,

So diligently.

And you just notice the impact that it has on the people around you.

The impact that it has on your energy levels,

Your focus,

The ability to be completely engaged with your career or your business.

See what kind of impact it has on how you're spending your free time.

And on your body,

On your health,

How much more relaxed and positive you're feeling in your body.

And now let's go one year into the future.

And you just see the result of that in your life in the next year.

Where are you at in one year's time because you've been applying this habit?

What people have come into your life?

What career direction have you been able to take and successfully take?

What business have you been able to set up and is it thriving beautifully?

Did you find a partner or is your relationship with your current partner even better than it was before?

Just see the effects that it has in your life.

See the smiles of the people's faces because you've been applying this habit.

Feel how you feel on a consistent basis every single day.

How powerful you are,

Strong,

How energetic,

How focused.

Just feel that feeling inside yourself just because you've been applying that habit.

And now go even further,

Three or five years into your future.

What have you achieved because of your new habit?

Do you see yourself having a strong and healthy body?

Do you see yourself having an amazing consciousness and mind and strong emotional balance state?

Do you see amazing people around you?

Do you see the happiness on their faces?

Do you see your own happiness?

Do you see the energy with which you wake up every single morning?

What a beautiful life you're living right now.

Just see yourself completely in five years time.

And now again let's go even further into the time span.

See yourself sitting on that rocking chair.

It's close to the end of your life and because you've been applying your habit consistently,

You sit there with a feeling of satisfaction,

Of gratefulness for the decision that you've made today.

The decision to start and to incorporate your habit into your daily life.

Just see how amazing your life has been because of that.

All the beautiful experiences you've had,

The beautiful people you were able to meet,

The amazing expansion of a career and business and the value that you've been able to create for the people that you've been serving.

Maybe the picture of your kids,

Your grandkids that have been growing up in such a healthy and happy way because you've been applying that habit.

Just see all of these situations coming through.

Just connect completely with that feeling inside yourself because you've been applying that habit.

You feel it in your heart,

In your stomach,

In your head,

Wherever you feel it.

Just allow it to expand throughout the rest of your body.

What an amazing life about you.

And now,

Allow yourself to gently and easily come back into this present moment,

Opening your eyes whenever you're ready.

And take a moment right now to write out specifically the experience of this emotion.

And maybe some of the situations that you've been visualizing,

That you've been seeing in your mind's eye,

Write them out so that they become even more clear.

Enjoy taking action on your new habits and noticing that every single day that you will repeat this habit and repeat this strategy through repetition and emotion,

You will incorporate it into your life in a way that it will become addictive.

Enjoy that space.

Live and breathe in that space.

And I want to thank you for taking the time to listen to this audio and for taking the time to change your life in a positive direction because I know that you will have an amazing impact on the people around you.

WOW! Eye opening! It reminded me of being in Jr High back in the 1980s when we had to watch Scared Straight videos that show you what happens when you get sent to prison. Sometimes thinking of negative things can lead to a positive outcome because we want to be good, we want good in our lives. If we remind ourselves of what could happen if we are not taking good care of ourselves, it gives us the motivation we need to be successful. Thank you for this eye opening meditation! πŸ’–
