
Your Incredible Power Of Peace

Peace is the seed of all that happens in our lives. How does peace give us power? Why does peacelessness make us weak? Silence encourages creativity and it’s filled with wonder. What is sweet silence and how can I talk myself into silence? If there is no movement there is no change. Peace is active. When we first began your journey, you have no enemies, you had no worries, no fears and now wants either. You are happy and content.

I'm Chanté and welcome to Soul to Soul.
My name is Rose from the Brumagamaris in Glasgow and we're going to talk about your incredible power of peace.
We start by thinking about peace as our original power and that peace is the seed of all,
Everything,
Everything that happens in our lives and peace gives us power.
So how does peace give us power?
Well the way to understand this is that when we begin our journey in life,
At the very beginning of our journey,
We're full of peace.
We're full of peace.
Peace is our original nature and because we're full of peace,
Everyone's our friend.
And because we're full of peace and everyone's our friend,
We're happy.
And we're not tired and we're usually quite healthy and so there is no peacelessness that has entered our nature.
But as we go along the journey,
We start to find that we don't like certain things,
Certain people,
Certain things that happen and we don't feel so well maybe and many things.
We're not as happy on our journey and what has happened there is that they dislike the unhappiness,
The unhappiness has removed or displaced or transformed some of our peace into peacelessness or disturbance.
So we say peace gives us power and peacelessness makes us weak.
So if you think of that now,
If I can restore my peace,
I will restore my power.
If I continue having dislike,
Having people I don't like,
Feeling unwell,
Letting things trouble me too much,
Feeling fear,
Being worried,
I'll continue to lose more and more peace.
Peace and become more and more peace less.
So what am I going to do about this?
We could look at silence because silence is a very beautiful energy.
These things are quite easy to look at.
It's not daunting to think of silence,
Even physical silence is very beneficial for us.
Silence encourages creativity.
Silence could be filled with wonder.
I can think of all sorts of things in silence.
If I choose,
I can think of wonderful things and the wonderful things mean they're a wonderful energy and they're not actually too disturbing.
These thoughts but so what is sweet silence?
It's not an oppressive silence,
A heavy silence.
How can I talk myself into silence?
Soothing,
Sweet,
Gentle,
Nourishing,
A space to be my peaceful self so I can take time in meditation to practice thinking nice things to myself if possible about myself.
This is sweet silence.
If I could encourage myself to think in a very spiritual way that I'm actually the thinking energy in the centre of the forehead,
That would be very,
Very profitable,
Soothing,
Gentle,
Beautiful silence.
And so what we look at if we're really interested in becoming peaceful,
I need to think how to change some of my energy patterns.
If I'm still anxious and worried to a large extent and I still feel threatened and powerless and fearful then I'm not changing.
I'm still under the influence of the things that I've gathered on my journey.
It's been a long journey but now I don't need to hold the things that I've collected on my journey and if I don't make a movement to change there will be no change.
Maybe there will be no change because I want to claim back my feelings of peace.
Being calm and peaceful keeps me clear and able to choose my thoughts so peace,
Peace is active.
Peace means I'm actually creating,
I'm going back to peace from peacelessness.
I'm doing something.
I'm going back to my original nature just in such a simple way by being aware of silence and the beauty of thinking.
And it creates new energy patterns.
And so also if I'm doing this I will have less thoughts because worry,
Stress,
Fear,
Anxiety create masses of thoughts.
Constant,
Constant,
Constant,
Constant,
Disturbance,
Disturbance,
Disturbance and I blame all these disturbances on things that are out there and maybe quite rightly so I collected them from out there but now I'm looking in here and seeing that oh gosh I did I collected all of that.
So the less thoughts,
So the more calm the less thoughts I'll be more or less this is really rather nice rather than rapid fearful thoughts the more quality I will have in my thinking.
Now all of these very small subtle changes will have created beautiful feelings inside me.
Just even the minute I start this meditation it doesn't take forever I've already started and I'll be creating beautiful feelings inside me.
So meditation helps me to have less worry.
So when is the best time to meditate and can I maintain peace under all circumstances?
I would say that the best time to meditate is definitely in the morning.
Earlier the better it's up to you.
You make the decisions it's your life it's your character and if I'm seriously wishing to claim back from disturbance to peace I will definitely be able to teach myself to maintain peace as much as possible and then after some time I'll see the triggers and I'll as more or less under all circumstances I'll hold on to something that's more calm.
Obviously the more practice the better.
So how do I begin to practice having good thoughts?
And why is it so essential to spend time in solitude?
Because I'm worthy of having good thoughts,
That we have a good heart.
If we're listening to this,
If we're even thinking about this you're definitely entitled to have a whole stock of good ways of thinking.
I'm sure if you looked at yourself you'd see that you're kindly,
You're friendly,
You're generous hearted,
You're loving,
You're helpful,
You're cooperative and so that they're already,
The goodness is already there you just have to start using it.
So how do I begin to practice good thoughts?
A good time is in the early morning.
Just like I said in the meditation.
And why is it so essential to spend time in solitude?
And maybe we say,
Oh I'm too busy.
Are you really too busy for your health and your happiness?
It's such a treat to turn that energy over in yourself and feel the feelings that you'll get from that energy.
Such a treat.
And these thoughts and that feeling is you,
The real you.
Your real beautiful energy beginning to re-emerge.
So how does a more peaceful mind bring benefit to all the other areas in my life?
I know it sounds like a magical,
Magic wand.
When I become peaceful it affects my physical health.
Oh because I'm more rested inside and I'm creating better energy,
Boosts my immune system.
I become more efficient because my head becomes clearer,
Far more clear,
I can think better.
And also even if it's a stressful job I can learn to not be quite so stressed,
To just remember what it's all about.
And my communications with friends and family can benefit a lot.
I can be more tolerant and think more lovingly and helpfully about them and with them and to them and be more cooperative.
It also changes my attitude to the world around me and to nature.
So a lot of bonuses.
So if I was to look again at the world around me,
I would be more cooperative.
So a lot of bonuses.
So if I was to look again at this beautiful energy of silence and my incredible power of peace which I can create,
It's me that creates,
It doesn't just float in and sit there.
I've lost it through disturbance and I've lost it through being restless,
Being worried,
Being fearful,
Getting upset,
Getting angry,
Thinking woe is me,
What can I do?
I feel that there's nothing I can do,
I'm disempowered,
I've lost it through that.
I can claim it back.
So can I understand this power of peace?
And if I do understand,
Do I really want to do something about it?
If I do want to do something about it,
I can remember there is another soul who is an ocean remember,
There is another soul who is an ocean of peace.
The one above,
The divine being,
The one that heads up all religions,
The one who's the father of the whole world,
That one will help me because that one has no disturbance and if I think of that one,
All that I will receive from that one is a vibration of peace.
This will help my vibration of peace and help me to move into my peace more quickly so I could invite that ocean of peace to be with me under any circumstances.
So again to remember your incredible power of peace is yours and on the journey it was replaced by disturbance.
It's so simple actually,
It's like arithmetic in a way,
I never liked arithmetic,
Probably you didn't either but this is such a simple arithmetic.
We were filled with peace at the beginning of our journey,
All humans,
And whatever activities we got up to put peacelessness in place of our peace.
Some more disturbed than others,
It depends,
This is what's called the law of energy,
The law of karma,
How we say that whatever we put out will get back.
So if we start to put out now our original nature of peace,
That's where wonderful things can happen because it has to come back to me,
To me,
My power,
My energy,
My wonder,
My sweet silence,
My connection with the divine.
So just to keep looking at your incredible power of peace because that's who we are.
It's our original nature and it's the seed of everything that happens in our lives,
The seed of our relationships,
Our self-image,
Our creativity,
Our interaction with others,
The way we think,
The health of our body,
Everything,
Actually our lifespan is also included in it.
Because it doesn't matter how well and whatever that we look after ourselves that if there's disturbance,
Worry,
Stress,
Our immune system's depleted,
This will affect our lifespan.
They say that yogis live a long life and that they look younger and healthier than most others.
It's because worry starts to get chased away.
So we don't go down that track so much.
We don't become superhuman but a lot of these tendencies that we had we have chosen,
We choose,
Nobody makes you.
You choose to go for that which is really,
Really soothing and wonderful and lovely to put through your entire system a few times a day.
We can't hold on to all of these things all day but as time goes on you'll find you'll put more of this into your day than you did to start with because you'll want to and because it will grow and as it grows it will encourage you and remind you,
Here we could do a bit more.
So silence is a beautiful energy.
I remember in the early days I used to have days of silence and it wasn't the way I think now.
It was quite a lot of the time just simply not speaking but that was beneficial.
It was great,
A day of silence and maybe little touches of meditation because everything takes time to grow.
So silence is a beautiful energy.
Silence is a beautiful energy.
It encourages creativity and it's filled with wonder.
Your wonder.
Could I ask you a question about collecting?
I thought that was a really good way of explaining disturbances that we collect disturbance as we go along our journey and then rather than realizing I've collected the disturbances like I've actually in a way chosen to take on the peacelessness I then blame external things but actually it's me that picked it up.
So do you say something about changing your way of thinking so that you don't pick up more disturbance?
Even if I could just stop picking up the disturbance?
Everyone's individual.
I always just speak from my own experiences that when I begin to understand how disturbance can be a very painful thing it hurts you inside.
When I realize how uncomfortable it feels and I will not understand that until I start to practice peace I have to say because I'll be using the disturbance.
I think it's ordinary.
Everybody's disturbed and so I'm just feeling partly the same as everybody else but when I start to meditate and practice peacefulness and when any disturbance comes to me and I've been unaware and suddenly disturbance comes I realize it's most unpleasant energy and perhaps before I would elude around to see who had caused that disturbance,
Who could have blamed for that,
Must have been because they said that to me or they said something and maybe they did.
But now I understand that that's how things work out there and people are not aware they're causing unpleasantness.
They think that it's right,
That they're right,
Everybody thinks they're right and so I must not challenge that.
I must have done it.
I must have done it.
I must have done it.
I must not challenge that.
I must understand and send out peaceful vibrations to whoever or whatever situation caused me disturbance and do my best to come out of that disturbance as fast as I can because it's like acid in the mind.
It bites and burns.
Something you said about generating positive thoughts because I think just knowing what a positive thought is and you said especially if you can create some positive thoughts about the self not just general positive thoughts but towards and about the self so what kind of things could I begin with?
I think if everybody actually took and had a good look at their character I'm not talking about the bad bits of the character I'm talking about how tender-hearted you might be.
I'm talking about how soft and gentle you might be.
I'm talking about how kindly you might be.
I'm talking about how strong and courageous you've been because if you look back you might see things that you've done.
You've come through that were difficult.
If you start looking at yourself like that get a hold of these energies and grow them and you'll find that you're responsible,
You're kindly,
You're helpful,
You're cooperative,
You're loving,
You're generous,
You're all these incredible energies already.
And then from that a lot of baby energies will grow from that and you'll find that gosh yeah I am.
And then the more you feel that you want to be calm,
You want to be steady,
You want to be peaceful it's not that difficult once you start getting a hold of your good energies.
If you keep seeing yourself as despicable and sad and sick and all of a sudden gossipy and hateful and disliking others and all the rest of it,
It would be very hard to find the good energies in the self because we've been on a long journey and we've created all these negative energies.
And so I have to have a look.
So it's reality,
It's real,
It's not made up,
It's absolute that we are good.
I have to acknowledge the good.
Okay.
So we were talking about peace I would say just sit still,
Keep your eyes open if possible and focus on the centre of your forehead and see yourself as the beginning of your journey when you are pure peaceful light.
A beautiful energy,
Fresh,
Pure and friendly,
Loving,
Happy.
Without a burden.
When my peace changes into peacelessness it becomes a burden and my burden grows.
So we've been on a long journey so we can see how big my burden has grown.
I now carry a large burden but I can make that burden much much smaller day by day,
Hour by hour,
Week by week,
Month by month,
Year by year until I become free from the heaviness of my burden,
Light hearted and healthier,
Friendlier.
Kinder,
Loving,
Happy.
With more and more peace.
And what happens is people around will feel your peace.
Because they also started off with their peaceful nature,
Their complete capacity of peace which now has been changed into disturbance.
