
Self Respect: Transform Your Weaknesses

Being able to adjust ourselves in any situation, and being truly humble, indicates an inner strength based on understanding and love. In fact, true humility is not possible without spiritual love. The thought ‘I did this. I'm good,' can be the door through which waste thoughts come. Ego is the seed of comparison and competition. If I count the virtues of self and the weaknesses of others I will become arrogant. 'I am the best, I am so great, I am good.' These thoughts can make my ego huge.

In fact true humility It isn't possible without spiritual love So this is why Raj yoga teaches us to focus on the energy of the soul Because all our power and strength is in that energy.
It's the energy of life and It's taken a back seat because everyone's enchanted with the physical and And so busy looking to see how can we make that work?
How can I get that?
How can I get this?
Why am I not getting that and they're getting that we're so caught up And collecting physical things Start to make a space to bring your energy back to the front Because when we totally focus only on physical things The physical things don't last They have never lasted and they never will so all that effort all that stress all that energy What do I have At the end of the day for all that Energy I've put into attaining the physical I might think I'm okay because I've got it now But what did I have in the past and how long did all of that last?
Nothing lasts it reaches its time and then that's it But spiritual power is forever.
It's the energy that keeps us alive It's the energy that teaches us how to think how to feel and to have deep self respect for the self When we have this thought that I did this I am good But If I look at others that don't have some of the qualities I have then I could be looking down on them and thinking They don't understand how to do this or they don't know what to do here,
But I I know And I'm very kind and I'm very this But to understand truly what that means because that can be the door Through which waste thoughts come so when I have waste thoughts Actually,
I'm losing my self-respect Because I'm a beautiful energy full of all strength and powers Ego is the seed of comparison and competition So Again you've got to look at it.
So we we do everything to try and make things work But if I do it to try and put someone down in the process With happiness put them down because they're not as good as me I have to look at that Because they might be good at things that I've never even thought about So we all have our different qualities So if I count the virtues of the self I'm good at this.
I'm really good at that.
I'm I've got a really good job.
I'm really good I'm really I'm so kind and helpful and everything if I do that And then count the weaknesses of others That they've not got that they can't do that.
They wouldn't understand this But wonder what it is that they have that I would not understand Because everyone has qualities in their own department If I keep focusing on how great I am only me only in this department that department might close down Then where will I be?
If I count the virtues of how smart I am and how weak others are I will become arrogant I am the best.
I am so great.
I am good These thoughts can make my ego huge So it's quite good to have good thoughts In the right way If I have it forcefully pushing myself into a position of greatness Then I'm not understanding the other side of my character And the fact that my weaknesses are getting covered up by this ego So I cannot have self-respect To be humble is to look at our own weaknesses and think What could I do to make that better?
How can I change that?
This is to be humble and then to see the greatness of others And they're not doing this so they are going I am the best,
I am great And to understand and think well let them enjoy what's happening now But if you're practicing meditation you don't want that temporary job You want to be able to understand yourself And understand your weaknesses so that you don't get too carried away with yourself And you don't put others down Because if we don't look at our weaknesses and do something to put them right How can others who have never looked at meditation for transformation How can they do anything about who they are?
You have to have a dignity about yourself that understands And don't challenge or try to compete with others in the wrong way First of all to understand I am the energy in the centre of my forehead I am a soul And I didn't know anything about this To begin with I was ignorant of my weaknesses And quite arrogant about that which I felt was great But the greatness wouldn't last and the weaknesses will go unchanged Unless I think in a very positive and soul conscious way I am the energy,
I've been on a journey So humility allows the existence of other people's virtues or weaknesses That's great Good luck,
You're doing good And weaknesses,
Well I haven't had a good look at my own so I can hardly judge you or whatever I see of yours Because point is other people see our weaknesses but we can't see them for ourselves Because we're so caught up in thinking I have the correct image of who I am But others because the way we treat them can see that I am arrogant or selfish or impatient You can see that in interaction with us So each individual is unique so everyone will have a very unique life energy And everyone will have something really special that I won't even be able to see if I'm carried away with how great I am But everyone on the planet has a speciality tailored to fit them and it will be brilliant But we don't see that,
We've been so taught to see who I think I am Who I think I am And if I think I'm great and only I know how to do this and they don't know anything about this Because you don't know what they know because they don't know,
They just live their life if they haven't been practicing meditation and were looking down on others Not a good habit So humility does not mean being submissive because of lack of respect for yourself Being humble means to be so sure of your own spiritual attainments and you don't need to criticize anyone or to show off If I can get my own track up and running and I begin to see I have specialities when I practice meditation I can see I'm becoming more peaceful I'm maybe even becoming more kind,
I'm becoming more understanding,
I'm having more courage and many other qualities So when I tick the boxes for myself then I can have the dignity just to have self-respect I can truly say,
You know I'm putting energy in here and I can see that I'm courageous and I'm steady and I'm very determined And my self-respect is up and running But if I was to use this to put others down then I'm being foolish So that means I'm having lack of self-respect for myself And if I could remember that every single person is unique And the only thing that starts to pull us together and share together is when we practice meditation and look at soul energy So therefore a whole crowd of people are starting to look at soul energy and tick in the box of their dignity and self-respect and the feeling to support others Starts to become a practical thing in that you want to treat them in such a way that they might start to wake up to their own specialities But if I treat people and they come and say oh a terrible time I had at work,
Oh we get bossed around all day and we're just treated in a not a very good way They're not going to get a chance to move out of that into looking at a peaceful way of thinking But if they come in connection with people who are doing meditation then we're like transmitters That energy that I'm creating in myself here is transmitted out and into the world And especially if I'm in connection with people they would never maybe listen to anything I would say But they can't stop themselves from feeling the feelings And if they start to feel the feelings of this person's not going to do me any harm That's quite something because most people have got their protective barriers up Even when we talk about meditation some people don't go there,
Don't say a word,
Have had enough,
Don't want to hear anymore So you can't always use words But if we're in a gathering and we're talking and our energy is peaceful,
Non-threatening,
Helpful and not forceful or trying to put anyone down Then what can happen and mostly does happen is that people's barriers go down And it's unusual for people's barriers to go down When people come to a place like this they know there's nothing bad to react to And that's when you start the journey of relaxation It's a safe place Words are there just to paint the picture But it's the vibration that's important It's non-threatening,
It's non-violent,
It's not peace,
It's not peace-less It's not trying to show up your weaknesses because the people practicing this are having a look to see what is their own And the more that we're able to uncover our weaknesses the more courage we have We feel stronger and we feel self-respect And another really good energy that I've been looking at is tolerance It's a massive power You might tolerate the dentist or tolerate something uncomfortable in your body system Or tolerate someone who's in your face and try to stop yourself not reacting But I noticed that not only that not reacting or understanding but it fills you with power I found then every time I thought of tolerance my whole body straightened up Even I wasn't being threatened,
I was nothing to be tolerant of I just think of tolerance And there I was with power So it's the way we think and it's energy here that's very powerful and subtle energy And also it's very experienced energy because we've been on a journey and we know the barriers go up in a second So we can see that in ourselves and we know that definitely happens to others So you definitely have to bring your peaceful nature,
Your peaceful energy into the gathering So that people feel reassured It's very real,
It's very real,
It's not just to do with words or fancy actions It's to do with the way that I think The way I think brings forward energy patterns and energy keeps going out into the world And if I'm thinking of the self as a spiritual being those energies are the truth Sometimes if we just use words they're not always the truth And we get carried away with the sound of our own voice and we get carried away with this that and the next thing And especially if there's something dangerous comes along The truth we have to teach ourselves to see,
Understand and know the truth in myself That truth comes out in a natural way into the atmosphere Oh,

I hope that was useful It's a very simple answer,
Self-respect means to respect others no matter who they are or what they are That's a tough one actually,
It has to change quite a lot of the way we would have felt we had to have nothing to do with that person Tell them off,
Move away or whatever But everyone's worthy in their own way of respect from others Because everyone's playing their part in the drama of life and we don't know what obstacles everyone has So it makes it easy as well,
We do our best and this is what shows that you're learning yourself To not criticise and start putting down someone who's doing something that I don't approve of So who am I?
Am I the big judge?
I don't know the details,
I don't know their journey and I don't know their outcome So I can't judge others in a way,
We're all energy in here so it's like we are all part of the same spiritual family Although so many millions would never know that,
But if you know it,
When it comes to the bit of you know it So I do my best,
They're doing this,
Why are they doing that?
That's nothing to do with me,
That's not my role,
Okay?
It's because we only have a one-sided idea of humble If you as a spiritual thinking energy are choosing or doing your best to understand and keep yourself humble It means you're having self-respect It is kind of tricky because people outside can put you down,
Try to put you down Because you act in a simple way,
You maybe even are not too fancy the way you position yourself You might be really clever but they're not interested in that,
They will just do their best to put you,
As they think,
In your place And that's when you have to have your self-respect and just keep light-hearted Because that's where they're at,
But don't let them put you where they think you're at because that's not where you're at,
Okay?
So humble,
The old-fashioned way of thinking about humble is to be beaten down into the ground,
Be so humble crawling around That is like lack of self-respect and lack of understanding So to be practicing to be humble is to be having respect for yourself And even if they try to put you into a wee space,
The law of energy will bring you out of that space and allow you to shine,
Okay?
And we've been there for a long,
Long time doing our best to physically get it right Then we have arrogance about how we got it right or how right we are and how wrong they are,
Whoever they are That's why there's so much chaos actually in relationships,
In work situations,
And everyone's in there pushing who they think they are And if you're not pushing who you think you are and you're just acting very pleasant,
In a way it will work a lot of the time,
This pleasant nature But you won't get respect for it,
They'll be quite happy and quite like you,
But they're not going to go,
Wow,
Too peaceful,
Too nice It's not a challenge,
So you have to check that what you want is the real you to keep coming through,
No matter what the circumstances And for that you have to be quite sure of the real you,
So you have to be creating it,
So we create our own future,
We create ourselves We create ourselves from arrogance and all the things that we had and the wrong humility and jealousy,
All these things And we see that we have these things and we decide not to go there,
So we create ourselves better,
Something that we want to be Because we're living in physical bodies,
In a physical world,
Surrounded by physical people Without me even going into it,
You know every single person you see on the planet is different They have different ideas,
They have different ways of living,
They have all different things,
You know,
And that doesn't make them big bad guys There's a lot of good people who just keep doing what they can do and being kind hearted and loyal and generous natured But they haven't a clue that that's what they're being or that they could do it in a different way And if they're lucky to keep coming into your company,
Maybe something of your energy can touch them And they might say to themselves hmm and start thinking a little bit,
But you'll never know because people just don't always open up And there's a lot of barriers going up,
There's a lot of differences,
Differences,
Differences But there's a slogan with this,
It says when we change,
The world changes And when you first hear that you think how can the world change?
How can the world change because how do you do meditation?
So I realised through the process of understanding and putting out this energy coming from here And if there's thousands of people doing that and if there's thousands of people who are all surrounded by everyday people Everyone to a tiny degree will pick up because the other thing is for every human being on the planet,
Their original nature is peace And we might think peace,
But peace is your inner power,
Even if someone sits on the practice of peace they're lifting themselves up Because when I begin to take on board the power of peace,
I then have the power to have courage,
To have discipline,
To have discrimination,
To have love To have generosity,
Masses and masses of virtues come from peace So gradually,
Gradually something is going everywhere When you practice meditation you're trying your best to bring forward your natural energy Natural energy is good and positive and powerful And when you have waste thoughts you've forgotten that and you think,
Why did that person shout at me?
Oh,
I don't know what to do about this,
Oh I don't think,
Oh I don't know,
What's happening to me today?
I had a good day yesterday but I'm not having a good day today,
These are waste thoughts Because in a second you can remember and go,
I'm so lucky,
I'm knowing that I can use this energy and just keep calm And just let that,
Let it fade,
It'll just go away in a second,
It'll be gone in the drama of life,
Nothing trails along with us Waste thoughts is to keep allowing those thoughts of not valuing yourself actually,
Lack of self-esteem Because you can change it but sometimes you need a pause,
You need to just go,
Let me breathe,
Let me not think of that,
Let me just think of something powerful Let me think of tolerance,
Let me think of courage,
And even if you do that you've changed the energy track in a second,
Ok?
It is wasting your energy and also waste thoughts,
They're old fashioned,
I have to say I'm not one for old fashioned It's ok things that are sort of historical but old fashioned ways,
Old fashioned habits of defending yourself,
Pulling down others,
Keeping myself away down here Letting others be really horrible to me and not keeping myself ok When I buy into all that old way it's old fashioned and look at us all,
Nobody here wants to be old fashioned do they?
No,
So looking at yourself as the energy is the latest fashion Because newness,
Newness,
Newness,
New designer in here,
There's a new designer designing new ways of energy It's nice,
You want to be an energy designer You want entertained and you feel it's easier to get entertained the old ways that you know about But there's no mileage in it,
There would be nothing actually come out of it in the end except it's been and gone,
That scene's been and gone What do I do with it?
I never did anything with it,
To catch the self if possible and just become calm and decide that you're going to play with your new energy rather than your old energy You can't erase the past because it's recorded in you,
That's why it's tricky What you're doing is making a new recording in the present,
You're recording something on your energy So you've only got a certain amount of energy actually because you've had a certain amount of time to create energy patterns So when there's something that say I'm angry and I find myself and I go I'm not going to get angry It's a terrible thing to be angry with someone actually because you hurt them dramatically I'm not going to do that,
I'm not going to do that,
Whatever I do I'm just not going to do that,
Let them say what they like,
Not going to get angry with them Somehow the anger in you gets less,
It fades,
It doesn't ever disappear,
Nothing ever disappears But you want the new stuff to come to the front and be your ruling energy if you like,
The way you want to be And the more you have like,
Hate somebody and the more you catch yourself and go don't do that,
I mean you just don't go there It will start to fade,
Start to fade,
Start to fade,
It won't prompt you so much later But there's a lot of things that are going to come,
We've had dislike,
We've had fear,
We've had suspicion,
We've had greed,
We've had so many things And when they come I need to remember I want to fade that,
I don't want to go there because I'll make it strong again The way you uncover your weaknesses is through interaction with others because there's a good chance that most people that you'll find are not practicing this And they will sort of cause you to want to react to them and you can see how you're up for a challenge or you're in denial or you hate them for that Or whatever,
Your weaknesses will come up in interaction with others and you'll see that without this you would have gone in there and depending on what kind of character you are totally crushed with your anger or dislike or whatever But with this you think,
I don't want to go there and the other thing you learn is if others are dramatically not nice to you and you feel what that felt like,
Oh my goodness And then I make a vow to myself,
I'm not going to do that to anyone because it was such a dreadful experience,
Uncomfortable and you were trapped and you couldn't do much about it It was like,
Ah,
Because someone's taken their wrath out on you and it's not nice at all,
It's dreadful So you then make a vow,
I won't have that weakness and you do your best to not go there because you feel,
If you're realistic you'll feel the discomfort that caused you I would be so delighted to see a weakness in myself because the weaknesses are like slippery,
I never knew you were there Because you don't know,
Because we must have so many little ones,
Big ones,
Medium ones,
The way we would have acted in the past,
You do meditation,
You practice being calm and peaceful You practice having respect for yourself and respect for others and you'll be surrounded by people who are not doing that and they can think you're soft and stupid and not quite right So you've got to be up for that if you want to change,
But the other side of it is if you're truly,
Sincerely putting out a calming energy,
All of that will come back to you It's not just bad things that will come to you,
All of that will actually come back to you and also you'll start to feel yourself physically,
Emotionally empowered And it will also have a huge effect on the health of your body because instead of it getting all battered with anger and dislike and hopelessness,
It's starting to resonate with different energy Okay?
Using the energy of peace,
Stillness and silence,
To return to a healthy peaceful vibration,
To record peace I choose calm thoughts,
So be kind to the mind The soul is loving energy,
Give respect to the self,
Love and kindness is who I am,
What are the original qualities?
Of I the soul,
Peace,
Love,
Happiness,
So to return to what is natural in the self,
Peace,
Love and happiness Who is thinking?
So what am I recording?
So check for tension and let it go,
Relax Have faith in the self and see the soul as an amazing,
Strong,
Imperishable,
Eternal life energy Tolerance,
Strength,
Faith,
Courage,
Integrity are all within me,
All within I the soul Everyone is the soul,
A tiny soul with enormous power because everyone is eternal and everyone is powerful,
All are souls Our original nature,
Our foundation is peace,
Love and happiness Peace,
Love and happiness,
All chanting
