
Motivation & Enthusiasm From Silence

When we have tasks to do at home or at work we often have a feeling of negativity or even dread at the thought of them. These feelings can pull us down and drain our positive energy. To get enthusiastic about seemingly mundane and often laborious work may seem a little strange. But using the enthusiastic mindset to accomplish our goals can help release fresh energy that will ensure that we can move through our day with more ease and success. Silence is the window to your inner world.

But when I practice silence I can get a window to myself and that's when I find newness,
Total newness.
And then I can get such a boost of happiness,
Real happiness,
And then make a vow to try and tell others this wonderous silence.
But I know it doesn't just come like that.
This is the simple truth of enthusiasm in today's world is to be motivated.
So enthusiasm and being motivated actually gives you enthusiasm.
When we have tasks to do at home or at work we often have a feeling of negativity or even dread.
Drain the thought of half the things we have to do.
Then we lose hope actually we get so despondent.
So these feelings can pull us down and drain our positive energy.
To get enthusiastic about seemingly mundane and often laborious work may seem a little strange,
But using the enthusiastic mindset to accomplish our goals can help release fresh energy that will ensure that we can move through our day with more ease.
And enthusiasm seems to come first can get us motivated.
I have to teach myself though to be like that.
And we get overwhelmed by what we then think is hard work or mundane or boring.
And so you have to give yourself a shake because we're creating something for ourselves.
Enthusiasm can make the impossible possible.
Enthusiasm affects others around us creating a more positive atmosphere and it makes large problems seem small.
Enthusiasm attracts other positive energies.
So let's have a look at enthusiasm and learn more about this interesting topic.
So there's certain things that are really beneficial for us in our lives and every single person on earth has one or another speciality which you might say everybody's got this enthusiasm but each person has it in a unique way.
Everyone's unique.
It's amazing to think that when there are billions of people on the planet that the way of doing things will be unique to each person.
I'd say for a long time if we're not practicing a more positive take on life or some stillness inside,
We don't even know our own speciality and our own speciality is there.
But I can't see it and maybe enthusiasm is our speciality.
Maybe motivation is our speciality and yet we're like oh.
But once we get a handle on it and start to see the benefits,
I need to encourage myself.
So encouragement actually is the important factor.
I need to encourage myself.
I have to believe in myself.
There's no one else going to go wow wow wow.
You have to tell yourself that you can do it.
So I have to encourage myself and then it's like amazing when your speciality unfolds.
And I would say that enthusiasm and motivation are the foundation for everything.
There are people who come here and they're regular regular regular regular.
So we were talking about this and thinking somehow they've made a little promise to themselves that no matter what I'm going at least once a week.
And they do,
They've turned up for years and so it's they somehow they have empowered themselves,
They've encouraged themselves to talk to themselves,
Encourage themselves.
I wonder what it is that encourages us to encourage ourselves and give us the motivation and become enthusiastic.
There's no way no other way but to talk to the self to somehow get a handle on it.
I think if you recognize this this is something good.
So you can't show your discouraged face to them because they're discouraged enough.
We have to encourage ourselves to be that ray of sunshine enthusiastic and encourage them to have a little bit more motivation in their lives which will add to their health and their well-being and their happiness.
They may not even like us,
They may challenge us and go oh gosh here we go again.
But you have to be quite subtle in uplifting others.
You can't go jumping in there going I'm going to uplift you.
If you can think of the effect we have on others.
So I think that that's a very motivating thing,
Very motivating.
You have to do everything you can to think oh best foot forward here and then in a very easy way you find you are motivated.
You do have enthusiasm.
You do have that feeling for yourself especially of encouragement.
To encourage others in a quite delicate way because people don't want to feel you're because it means you're seeing a weakness.
They don't want that either.
So you have to be very natural in very sort of yourself the way you present yourself,
Your voice.
The things you say have to be quite natural and uplifting.
Otherwise people will rebel.
I know I would have rebelled if some had come and sort of said I'm going to lift you up and make you feel better.
I would have thought what's that shake up,
Feel fine,
Nothing wrong with me.
Because we can't see clearly until we do meditation and meditation gives us a window and the windows to our own feelings.
It makes us sensitive to the needs of others.
It gives us a bigger heart as well.
And it makes us not dwell on our own challenges so much and think well that's the way it is I just have to sort that out for the self.
You become very practical.
I have to encourage myself that's really,
Really important and I have to have enthusiasm which will then motivate me.
You can think oh this never stops you know and you could feel daunted but then you go it's fine and just get on with it and getting on with it you've actually lifted yourself up again or kept yourself up.
So it's really important to understand how that energy works to be a light to others that's the light.
The light is in a quiet way to be sympathetic without being sympathetic you have to see others as equal to yourself.
Being equal means that they have a right to live their lives,
They have a right to be who they are but they don't know too much about who they are because they're not looking.
It's when you study meditation you can see yourself it's like you've got a window into your own self and you can understand weakness that you have to understand weaknesses otherwise how could you overcome them?
You have to understand weaknesses otherwise how can you spot where others are needing lifted up?
And if you really look at the self you'll see you've actually been practicing that speciality for a long long long long time but you weren't practicing meditation and you were using your speciality in a normal way for people around you being helpful and creative and all sorts of things but you didn't really realize the benefit of that speciality and it comes in all different shapes or forms so whatever we're doing now that we might think is like a chore or oh my goodness somewhere in there is your speciality that's why you're still doing it and that's why you'll be in touch with people that also have that similar speciality but they're not doing meditation and they're daunted and they're daunted by their speciality.
It's quite exciting actually to start looking at it like that you may be doing a job that's really hard work really manual work but what is at the bottom of that job what is the essence of that you get bored you see after a while even with your speciality so I need to keep encouraging myself seeing the benefit of what I'm doing and seeing how there's something in me that has loved to do something like I'm doing you have to just be who you are and show your experience and that actually opens up to reminding you about yourself and what you're learning.
See when we have these talks I feel that we open up a topic in a way you wouldn't have opened it up too much for yourself you would have understood but you open it up more when you're trying to think in a very very positive way but you must never try and take the accolade of that like we're not here to be a big hero or to be worshipped or oh wow that was great if you're looking for that you're on the wrong track.
So you have to see that for you yourself you took benefit we're here to share things that are very positive and help people think like that through the fact that we've practiced it and we're like an example but even not get carried away by that example.
So we must make sure we do things for our own benefit it sounds selfish in a way a lot of people would not understand that but you do it so as you understand and you've changed your vibration and that vibration of possibility can touch others.
Like if it's possible for me it's possible for everybody whoever they are but if it's only possible for me then others will put up a barrier they don't want that so you have to take the self out of the picture and yet put the self into your own picture.
We're here to be like an instrument whatever I practice will have created a energy pattern in me and that vibration can assure people or reassure people and you're not chugging and pulling at them to do something let them do what they feel they can do they're touched they're touched they're not touched they're not touched and if they don't pick it up they don't pick it up.
I can only speak from one experience we can try and keep changing the physical parts of our life and say and that's quite good too you know you do have to make some changes when you're starting to follow a different track and that's fine but there has to be a full stop as well otherwise we'll get all caught up in nitpicking.
I found that by practicing silence,
Power of silence,
Total silence I mean not just focusing on keeping my mind still and then I can see gosh I never saw that before I can see what I need to change inside myself and it's nothing bad or dramatic but it would be a benefit for me to just nudge that or to understand that I had no idea that was there that can bring such enthusiasm and happiness where did that come from it's been there all along and I've been acting that part as well I didn't know that was involved so when I practice stillness and silence I can often get a window to myself a window to the world I can see what's going on I can see all the things that are happening through my eyes but when I practice silence I can get a window to myself and that's when I find newness total newness and then I can get such a boost of happiness real happiness and then make a vow to try and tell others this wonderous silence but I know it doesn't just come like that and they're not going to go wow wow wow wow oh that was it takes a bit of concentration to make your mind still and even when you're practicing it other things will pop in you go get that way and keep practicing it and the things that come in to disturb you'll not be so many after a while you know how we all love computers and you can see something on the computer well I begin to see what's on this computer in a very real way so I can go nitpicking about all the things outside it's quite good see we'll make the chairs go a different direction we'll do this or we'll get a new plant or we'll do this or that that's fine because you have to look after your physical world but you have to after your identity keep things simple so you can keep track keep life simple and keep your habits simple it's interesting you have to maintain the feeling that you're coming from the same page of whoever you're interacting with they're following or they're capable of following or they're also understanding you know otherwise if you think they don't understand what I'm talking about but I know what I'm talking about and here I go and I'm so wise because we're not so wise it unfolds the enthusiasm is for yourself really and it's an energy pattern which others can pick up if they wish but I can't force them into being enthusiastic we're constantly learning aren't we and we want to learn about ourselves how we think and what we're aiming for and what we're practicing and just keep it going and when you feel the despondency come that's when you have to check and go stop it don't go there's nothing to be despondent about when we're practicing meditation and whatever you're doing is beneficial for you if you do it in the right way because that's why you're in that position that's why you're with these people that's who you have to serve that's beneficial if you think of it in the right way treat them with sort of humility and simplicity so that they can pick up something and they can pick up something without you knowing it the very fact that you're there excellent and a sense of humor is a lovely thing wonderful thing as long as it's not a sense of humor against other people but when I practice silence I can get a window to myself and that's when I find newness total newness and then I can get such a boost of happiness real happiness and then make a vow to try and tell others this wonder of silence but I know it doesn't just come like that but when I practice silence I can get a window to myself and that's when I find newness total newness and then I can get such a boost of happiness real happiness you
