Whenever you are faced with a challenge and you need courage, take a moment of silence and invoke your courage. With patience, you will know what to do and when. Courage doesn’t mean you are not afraid – but it means you are willing to challenge your fears for what you know is the right thing to do, to say or to be. One important lesson worth remembering, you cannot overcome your fear by avoiding it. It only grows.

Courage is not what we think it is.

But courage is when you're terrified out your skull.

But you do something that's right.

You may be quaking in your shoes.

But it's the right thing to do and you do it.

And you can match up courage with self-respect.

So your self-respect grows as well because you think,

Well I did it.

I did it.

Whenever you're faced with a challenge and you need courage,

Take a moment of silence and invoke your courage.

So just with patience you will know what to do and when.

And courage doesn't mean you're not afraid.

You'd have to be very careful where you were courageous.

Not be foolish.

Not to be foolish.

Courage doesn't mean you're not afraid.

But it means you're willing to challenge your fears for what you know is the right thing to do or say it to be.

One important lesson worth remembering,

You can overcome your fear by avoiding it because it only grows.

So depending on the situation,

I mean there's situations in today's world I would not say I would go in and challenge.

Too dangerous.

Fear can only be overcome by moving through it and acknowledging the fear.

So there's little things for us that we can look at in our lives that are OK.

That we say,

Oh I don't know if I can do this.

I haven't done this before.

But it takes courage to say,

Well maybe I could have a look and give it a try.

Maybe I could see what's necessary here.

Sometimes fear sits in us as an emotion and we're not even clear what we're afraid of.

We don't know what it is.

Doing something practical helps one build confidence.

So if you do something practical,

It helps you to feel you're more in control.

Often just taking time to reconnect with the one above,

The ocean of power,

The ocean of peace.

It will help you to see the situation in a different light.

Always remember for every challenge there is always a solution.

There are situations where you feel you don't have a voice or you're put down or always cast to the side.

This happens in life as we all know.

So you have to have the courage to somehow just put in your top and worth to be part of whatever's happening.

And that can take courage.

We all have masses of inner peace.

We just haven't resurfaced it,

But it's there.

It belongs to us.

It's our birthright.

Our original nature is to be peaceful.

And if you begin to recognize this through meditation,

Then you can add things into peace.

First of all,

For a second,

Bring forward your peaceful,

Calm,

Steady nature.

And then you could be courageous or strong or enthusiastic or determined.

And of all these energies come and use them and get through many,

Many situations.

But you have to talk to yourself and allow yourself to have courage.

The courage won't just be hanging around there saying,

Here I am,

I'm so courageous.

You have to allow yourself to have courage.

And the way to do this actually is when we practice meditation.

In Raja Yoga meditation,

We look at the fact that our energy in the center of the forehead is the energy of our lives.

It's life energy.

Takes a little while to process this if you've not heard it before.

It's the energy that makes this work.

It's the energy that allows the brain to function,

The heart to beat and the body to move around.

And the mind and the intellect to see what's happening to our world.

And without that energy,

This doesn't have any energy of its own.

This gets physical energy from food,

But it doesn't get spiritual power.

And we are kind of low now on spiritual power,

Which is why we encourage people to do meditation.

To get their power of peace back because it's in the background.

But you can bring it forward through meditation.

You have it,

It belongs to you.

But we're not able to access it unless we sit and practice.

I am peace.

And so if we can practice that you're a peaceful soul during meditation,

You can make your peace grow and grow.

And that gives you a foundation to be courageous,

To be determined,

To be enthusiastic,

To be kind,

To be all the different energies.

They all come from peace.

So in the center of the forehead,

We focus.

If you could do this over and over at home,

You're a peaceful nature to come back to the front.

And by coming back to the front,

You can feel yourself empowered.

And that gives you courage.

We're talking about being energy in the center of our forehead.

And without that energy,

This wouldn't work so well.

And that we all have an abundance of peace inside us.

What about inside?

It's a way in your intellect,

A way at the back.

And why is it at the back?

Because our everyday lives have come to the front and covered it up.

So the teachings of Raja Yoga are that we have to focus on our peace and bring it back to the front.

The more I do that,

The more I will have access to an abundance of peace.

A very easy way to do this is that there is a soul who doesn't have a physical body,

But is the same as us,

A point of light,

But their peace is there,

Like an ocean,

Ocean of peace.

It's not at the back of anything.

There's no everyday life there.

That soul is the ocean of peace.

In meditation,

If we think of the one who's the ocean of peace,

We can start to gather some of that peace to ourselves,

Which would help our peace to also re-emerge.

So we call that one the one above or the supreme energy,

Supreme soul.

That one has peace constantly all the time.

It's not hidden under everyday life because that one doesn't have an everyday life.

So if you focus on the ocean of peace,

The energy,

It's very same as our energy,

But it's not in a body.

Okay?

So you could think of that.

I think the main obstacle is fear and it's fear of others not understanding what's happening to you and you want to keep in with people basically.

And you can know when some people are pretty tough and if you oppose them,

You could be in trouble because especially if it's your work situation or whatever,

You could have a hard time because of doing something different and so many things come from that.

So it's fear.

So if I look at myself and say,

I don't want to have fear.

If I'm fearful of someone,

They've put me under them and our self-respect says,

I don't want to be like that.

So if you have the courage to come out of that and kind of say,

Well,

You know,

Everybody else got their opinion.

I've got mine.

So do I want to stay there and feel vaguely comfortable or do I want to come out and go,

Nah,

Whatever it takes.

I'm not letting this happen to me.

I think fear can come from many things,

Actually.

You're usually terrified of loss if you have fear.

You're scared that you'll lose somebody's admiration or they'll leave you or they'll talk about you or they'll make fun of you or they'll remove your privileges that you have at the moment or whatever.

You're terrified of loss.

So quite often you'll put up with almost anything not to have the sense of loss.

I would say.

It's the fear of loss.

OK,

Because someone suppressing you is wrong.

It's very,

Very wrong as far as the laws of energy are concerned.

We're all entitled to be treated.

We won't be the same.

Someone will be good at that.

Someone will be good at that.

Someone will be good at something else.

Someone will not be good at half the dozen of these things.

But we're all entitled to be treated as equal energies.

Otherwise you're complicit in the wrong thing happening.

You're too scared to do anything that allows them to keep doing it and doing it.

They haven't the power to stop.

They don't even know it's their habits.

So they don't even know they're doing anything harmful because you're accepting it.

You're OK.

You don't mind them going like that and putting your way down.

So they think that's the way you are.

It's only when you put a stop to it.

And as Marilyn says,

You don't have to challenge anyone.

You just have to put a stop in your head and say enough's enough.

That's it.

Finish.

Can't do that anymore.

And something happens energy wise.

OK.

Actually,

I was thinking of something.

I don't know if this will make sense to people who are new,

But we've all had the experience of lockdown.

We've got shut up in our houses and you couldn't go there and couldn't go there.

Your peace,

Your peaceful nature has been in total lockdown.

It's been locked down by your physical life.

Your worry,

Your stress,

Your concern,

Your working too hard and this and that and relationships.

So busy in agitation that your peace has been locked down.

Does that make sense?

Your peaceful nature's been in lockdown.

It's still in lockdown,

But you're starting to free it and say,

Come out,

You can come out,

Come out and have a wander around now.

Come on,

You can come out.

So through doing meditation,

You can free your peaceful nature to come to the surface,

Bring it out of lockdown.

The wonder of life is to face the challenges and you get a window into whatever the challenges are.

It's something you would never have seen before.

You should see the treasure of getting a window.

Someone may pretend to be your best friend and suddenly they lose it with you.

But you've got a window that's not this,

Oh gosh,

How could they speak to me like that?

Oh,

I'm devastated.

No,

No,

This is good.

This is a window.

We've actually been thinking these thoughts for a long time and now it's all come out.

And so you get a window so you know to treat them kindly,

Give them even more respect.

You have to use these qualities,

Not force,

And start looking at their good qualities and how they feel they had put up with so much and maybe I was not very pleasant or whatever.

Oh,

It takes a lot of courage actually to face the self.

And at first we don't quite know what we're to face.

Once you start to see that maybe you weren't the best person in the world that you thought you might have been,

That you might have caused a bit of a problem here and there,

And then you do your best to do everything you can to put it right.

So in the centre of the forehead we focus,

Your peaceful nature to come back to the front.

And by coming back to the front you can feel yourself empowered.

I have been meditating for many years, but it has been InnerSpace that has greatly helped me to understand the part that I had been missing all along: inner peace. I listen to one of your meditations every morning and feel myself calming down and changing. I can’t thank you enough. As I continue to practice with you I hope more of my questions will be answered.
