
Be A Giver LIke Mother Earth

This talk is dedicated to Earth Day which is on Thursday 22 April. Planet Earth is such an example of selfless giving. Nature knows its purpose is to serve. A tree provides a service by purifying the air. It gives shelter to many creatures & generates blossoms, fruits, and seeds. Can people return to a more natural state of being?

Welcome,
Soul to soul.
So this is Rose from Inner Space in Glasgow and we're going to dedicate this talk to Earth Day which is Thursday the 22nd of April and so we're going to look at being a giver like Mother Earth.
Planet Earth is such an example of selfless giving.
So nature knows its purpose is to serve.
A tree provides a service by purifying the air so it gives shelter to many creatures and generates blossoms,
Fruits and seeds.
I wonder if we ever stop to think like that.
It's not easy to think like that if we live in a city actually because we don't see how that works so much and even if you go to a park you're just in there and out there and then you take it for granted for every stage it's in at that point.
But can people,
Human beings return to a more natural state of being and when we study soul awareness and make considered changes or choices there's a movement towards simple living and higher thinking.
And to start with everything starts with consciousness and the soul which is the light in the center of our forehead is a beautiful being of peace.
I the soul of energy in the center of my forehead and it's I the soul who think.
So in this consciousness I generate vibrations of peace and kindness just like blossoms and fruits on a tree.
My gifts are sustaining and freely given.
This is rather beautiful.
I have the energy.
There's always a beautiful opportunity for us to be peaceful,
Kind and generous and in harmony and it's never too late to practice being a giver like Mother Earth.
How could I be a giver?
Just to not get so upset or have dislike or be so selfish,
Be more generous.
If I just practice these little things,
They're not big things,
It's remembering that I can do this.
If you forget or fall short just get up and try again to say oh why should I say something nice there?
Just do it again,
Find another chance.
Even to see whether you would like to improve is great.
If you can see where it is that you fell down that time you could try again in that area.
Spiritual information about the nature of the self is actually vital because you need to know yourself,
You need to know your strengths and you need to know the bits that you could make stronger.
Because when I understand who I am and how I relate to the physical world is the first step,
It's step one.
And then I could make that a daily practice.
Just hearing information is not enough to hear something,
Yeah I hear it,
It sounds okay,
It resonates with me and that's it.
But that's not enough,
I need to think about it over and over and try to feel the feelings.
The feelings of being kinder,
The feelings of being more understanding,
Feelings of being more still,
Peace,
Kindness,
Courage,
Brightness,
Even when something is quite dull and dark,
Brightness.
And if you should have the chance or an opportunity to talk to anyone who is interested in spirituality,
Share your experiences and keep going no matter what because your natural state is peace.
The soul is a radiator of peace,
There's energy in the center of the forehead,
The natural nature of the soul is peace.
So practice being so conscious and share that peace.
If you feel more fulfilled and content with yourself then you will not be taking so much from Mother Earth or from other souls.
And that's the bonus actually because whatever I take I have to pay back.
If I take sorrow I have to give sorrow back to that person.
That's not so good.
If I take happiness then I have to find a way to give happiness.
That's a bit better in a way but you could spend forever trying to give happiness or sorrow or sorrow or happiness to others but as let it be your natural nature to radiate that peace and stillness and feelings of well-being.
Okay.
So it seems vital to feel the feelings,
Just to know the words like I want to be peaceful,
I want to be loving.
How does meditation help me deepen the experience,
Make it real,
Really know what peace is?
Well I can only share my experience and I would say that it's only in meditation that I can begin to understand peace and encourage myself to learn how to be peaceful and unless I do that how can I give it?
I won't have anything to give.
I'll keep being agitated and upset and annoyed and so I'll be keeping giving sorrow.
That's the kind of tree I'll be.
So meditation is actually the answer there.
Nature seems to be very good at putting itself back into balance and really never giving up in a way.
It seems it'll always just keep trying to put itself back into balance.
What about us souls and human forms?
Why do we give up so easily?
Because we don't know any different.
We feel very that what we're doing is right because we've stopped being spiritual and we've become very human but in fact we're spiritual living in the human.
But we've forgotten the spiritual side of our nature.
And it's so easy to take when Mother Earth is so or has been so bountiful and it's been relatively easy to take and extract and take and extract happiness and experiences.
What is it that gives me the wisdom to get back to spiritual laws and understand that it's not accurate and that I'm hurting the earth?
If you have the desire to get to know the best in yourself,
If you want to bring that back into your nature,
Something inside you you'll always have been trying to be the best but have been daunted because of the interaction with others who are not trying to be their best.
Let's say they were annoyed with you or finding fault with you then you react,
You react,
You react.
And if you keep reacting you can't be peaceful.
You could keep reacting to your last breath no matter how lovely you actually really are inside.
And so I would say a tree doesn't really react to the weather.
The weather can absolutely break all the branches off and destroy all the fruits and but the tree remains the tree steady and stable.
It just seems to grow more branches and grow more fruits.
So for us we react,
We react and because we react we can't use peace and peace is our natural nature.
So the only way to get back to it so as we stop the strength of that reaction and put something better in its place,
Just be still and stable,
Is through meditation.
I can practice my natural nature of peace and peace is a power,
Peace isn't passive,
Peace is a huge enormous power which gives me the strength.
Imagine the strength it gives me to stop reacting to people who are really rude to me,
Really defame me,
Really upset me,
And pull me down but if I can stay steady in that,
That is a huge strength.
You said yesterday there's always a trigger if I practice silence I will not react to the trigger anymore.
Yeah.
So it's the same thing silence,
Peace.
Yeah,
Yeah there's always a trigger just before you go into the reaction.
Once you start practicing your peaceful nature you're able to begin to see the trigger which is about to tell you to just go and get so annoyed with that person or shout back at them and if you can see that trigger and just stop and think wow,
Inside teach yourself to smile wow I just about lost it there but I didn't because I felt the trigger which says don't go there just don't go there then you've got the satisfaction of knowing that you're strong you don't have to imagine it you know it your intellects becoming powerful you know that you're strong.
So you stop expecting others to create a good atmosphere for you so you can just keep being you keep giving keep being you keep giving.
Yeah,
Yeah not let any interruption come in that.
Yeah,
Yeah that's it that's how it works.
What about the relationship with the earth between the soul and matter?
Sometimes people talk about the consciousness of being a cagast or a custodian of the earth.
Do you practice that and what does it mean to you?
Well what it would mean to me is that well Raja Yoga meditation teaches me I have to look at my own world and so I have to look at that which I'm responsible for and if I'm not responsible for what other people are saying or doing why am I getting involved and if they're thinking they're responsible for me by getting annoyed with me or doing things to me that I don't like why am I getting annoyed with them because they're putting their nose into something that has nothing to do with them it's me that's responsible for the way I'm living my life they're not responsible for the way I'm living my life I'm not responsible for the way they are living their life but if I can bring value and I find a way to bring it then I will in a very quiet and calm way but most people are not going to do that for me but if they did I would feel very obliged it would be lovely but this is what you get taught when you practice being yourself being the soul so it's like we are a guest but we're responsible for that with which we're involved with you can only then be responsible for yourself so it's that back to that be the change you want to see yeah it's tricky though when isn't it when other people's lack of responsibility may impact my life or my lack of responsibility or bad behavior may impact other people's lives and then this is where the dance of life gets a bit uncomfortable yeah yeah so that's why you have to look after yourself and your own energy and not create more complications because if you keep thinking I'll just challenge this and I'll challenge that you'll create more and more complications and it will upset you and it will make you heavy in the head and you'll feel non-success and you'll be feel defeated so it's like keep remembering the rules and the things that you're learning about yourself basically and the meditation I know you meditate on the soul as a point of light but do you ever think of things of nature as an inspiration like visualizing beautiful scenes or flowers or sunny days or trees and breezes constantly it's very beautiful sometimes you have to kind of visualize or see something that is beautiful because depending where you live there might not be much to look at except grey skies and grey streets and broken down buildings so this power of visualization is very powerful I love to see flowers and beautiful parks and blossom trees and just beautiful yeah this is refreshes the mind and it refreshes our power of visualization and it uplifts the heart because we know that all over the planet no matter how bad things might look at this moment there are areas where it is extremely beautiful still still there are beautiful flowering trees still there are beautiful water scenes still there are beautiful forests still beautiful scenes so we may see pictures or we may even have visited but yeah it's good to think of beautiful things beautiful scenes mother nature at her best and so finally while you're in visionary mode do you think it is at all possible that human beings could live in harmony with nature absolutely as much as you know yourself you are not in harmony with nature you see a tree isn't violent flowers are not violent human beings can be very violent and as much as you don't want to be violent and you're in connection with others who are non-violent you live in complete harmony the less you want to come into conflict with another the more you the more peaceful you become and therefore the more you're capable of living in harmony with another human so okay but the more you challenge the more problems you cause for yourself actually we might think that i need to because this is right this is right no if i look after my own energy that is right trying to sort out someone else's energy will not give me harmony so i'm going to challenge my own self really is yeah i have to challenge my own self and know that if i just keep myself in line i could actually almost live with anybody because i just won't react to how they are let them be up to a point and we know that there's some people who would be very tricky but at that moment at the moment we're not interested in that we're interested in keeping ourselves peaceful and safe and then using our common sense to come into harmony as best we can with others I will do a minute of meditation so can people return to a more natural state of being so bringing our energy into the center of the forehead and seeing myself as that point of living life energy of peace and we look at soul awareness and and we can make considered choices and there's a movement towards a more simple living and a higher way of thinking and a higher way of thinking i am a soul to just hear about something isn't enough i need to think about it over and over again and as i live my day-to-day life i'll be challenged by others who think they have a right over me so becoming soul conscious is actually freedom because the more i have a right over myself no one has a right over me so to be soul conscious and share peace because the world needs peace and if you feel more fulfilled and content with yourself then you will not be taken too much from mother earth or from other souls i am a soul i'm becoming more and more steady more aware of myself a being of light peace energy all shanti energy all shanti so so so you
