Hello and welcome to this meditation.
Begin by getting into a comfortable position,
Maybe sitting upright or even lying down if that feels best for you.
Taking a moment to settle into the posture and arriving here with a deep,
Full breath in and a long breath out.
Again,
Like that,
As you inhale,
Filling up like a balloon.
As you exhale,
Softening,
Feeling the surface that you're sitting or lying on,
Feeling it support you,
Almost rise up to support you.
And one more time,
Like that,
Inhaling,
Holding for a moment at the top and exhaling,
Arriving here together.
So we will begin here,
If you'd like to visualize,
Hold in your mind's eye a space in nature where you feel most comfortable,
Most at home,
Even the first thing that pops into your head that feels warm and relaxing.
Notice what the space feels like.
Notice what you hear,
What you see,
What you smell,
And maybe your feet are on the ground here.
Maybe you're somewhere where you can reach out and touch something or the ground.
What do you feel in your body?
Taking a moment to really breathe into this space,
Feeling at home here.
Maybe there's the sound of rushing water or the ocean or the birds or a waterfall,
Just noticing what you notice.
And while you're in one of your favorite places in nature,
Imagine that this beautiful ball of light begins to come down from the sky.
Notice what color this light is for you.
Feel the comforting,
Wise presence of this ball of light.
And begin to just be in space with it,
Whether you'd like to imagine holding it to your belly,
Coming in through the top of the head and landing in the belly.
This is a light to illuminate your true nature,
Almost like a flashlight from the universe,
Helping you to see this space clearly.
And you notice in the corner of your eye,
There's a beautiful sleeping dragon.
And this dragon is one that does not evoke fear in your body,
But is this peaceful presence.
Their power is still palpable,
But it is something that's more so just familiar.
You're still in awe of this dragon,
Even sleeping.
But you just feel this true sense of familiarity,
Kinship with this beautiful creature.
Gently notice that as you approach them,
They open their eyes.
And take a moment to imagine what this dragon,
Your dragon,
Would look like,
Your friend,
Your companion.
What does this dragon look like to you?
What are their colors?
What does their eye look like?
They nod to the light in your belly,
Or if you're holding this light,
They motion to it in recognition of it.
And they ask if you'd like to join them up in the clouds.
So if you decide to say yes,
Imagine getting onto the back of this creature.
This magical being of light.
And ascending up through the sky.
So as you move through the clouds,
Maybe it feels dense or staticky.
Maybe it can feel like a representation of moving out of the limited perspective that you have on the ground and pushing up through the clouds to be able to see more clearly the bigger picture.
Taking a deep breath in,
And a long breath out.
On your next inhale,
Imagine breathing in this clear,
Crisp air.
You've emerged out of the clouds.
And you are now landing on top of a beautiful,
Tall mountain peak.
Here you meet the lion and the little bird.
And immediately in this lion's presence,
There is a royalty aspect to it.
There is a wisdom.
There is a courage.
And you can imagine this lion and this little bird giving you,
Providing you with more of this light in the belly,
Gifting it to you.
You can also imagine gifting them something as well.
And all of you together,
The dragon,
The little bird,
The lion,
You look over this mountaintop,
You look to the valley below.
And they,
With their magical presence,
Can help you see the big picture.
They help you to see the intentions that you set for this year,
Or maybe even ones that you haven't thought about yet.
They're playing out like this light is a projector that's helping to project all of the accomplishments and goals and intentions and presence that you have set for this year.
All of the small joys and big dreams,
All of the laughter,
All of the honesty and compassion,
All the space you give to your grief,
To your sadness,
All the courage you muster,
Your groundedness,
Your rest,
You see it all playing out below you.
These images,
These pictures,
Notice what else would like to be added to them if you could project these intentions for the year ahead.
What would play out on that screen,
On the screen below you in the valleys?
These aspirations of the heart,
Taking a moment to be with them as this light begins to come back and draw back in to your heart space,
To your belly,
To your third eye.
Knowing that you are so deeply connected to that which you desire to create in the world,
The desire to put out into the universe,
Feeling these beautiful animal guides as support.
And if you'd like to repeat these affirmations together,
Perhaps imagining you getting back onto the dragon's back,
Thinking the little bird and the lion,
Traveling down,
Back through the clouds,
Almost dropping these affirmations like seeds into the ground below.
I am protective of my power.
I see myself for who I truly am and I am not afraid to show up as my most authentic self.
I see myself for who I truly am.
And I am not afraid to show up as my most authentic self.
I lead with love,
Ease,
Poise,
And grace.
I lead with love,
Ease,
Poise,
And grace.
I take back my power.
I break ties with all family traditions that keep me from being happy,
Hopeful,
And abundant.
I break ties with all family traditions that keep me from being happy,
Hopeful,
And abundant.
And I release the need to obsess over the details and see the bigger picture clearly.
I release the need to obsess over the details and I see the bigger picture clearly.
I am a loving,
Compassionate,
And wise teacher.
I am a student of the universe,
Constantly learning new things.
I allow myself to get out of my own way.
I am open to new perspectives,
Ways of being and seeing.
I am open to new perspectives,
New ways of being and seeing.
I see beauty wherever I go.
I see beauty wherever I go.
I am grounded firmly in my power.
Begin to thank the dragon for coming.
Begin to thank the dragon for this journey.
Maybe offering them a small gift.
And try not to question whatever comes into your mind,
Just letting it be.
And deeply bowing to the dragon,
To the lion,
To the little bird,
To the light within and all around you.
And remembering that you can come back to this point,
To these intentions,
To this place in nature whenever you need.
You have a wise companion within you.
Taking a deep,
Full breath in.
Exhaling.
Relaxing all the way,
Even imagining relaxing the teeth and the mouth.
Beginning to come into the room.
Taking any stretches that feel good.
And opening your eyes.
