Welcome to this moment of pause,

A space where we can explore the beauty and power of stillness.

Take a moment to find a comfortable position,

Sitting or lying down,

Whatever feels right for you.

Allow your body to settle,

Letting your hands rest gently,

Your shoulders soften,

And your breath find its natural rhythm.

As we begin,

Let's reflect on what stillness means.

Stillness is not just the absence of movement or sound.

It's a state of being where we allow ourselves to simply be.

It's the quiet space beneath our thoughts,

The gentle pause between breaths,

The moment where we feel connected to ourselves and the world around us.

In stillness,

We find clarity,

Peace,

And a sense of presence that anchors us in this very moment.

Now gently close your eyes,

And if that doesn't feel comfortable for you,

Just soften your gaze.

Take a deep breath in,

And as you exhale,

Let go of any tension you might be holding.

Imagine yourself settling into this moment,

Like a leaf gently floating down to rest on calm water.

There's nowhere to go,

Nothing to do,

Just this invitation to be still,

To be present,

To be you.

Notice the simple rhythm of your breath,

Air flowing in,

Air flowing out.

There's no need to change it,

Just allow your breath to move naturally,

Like a rising tide.

Now bring your attention to the sensation of stillness.

Feel the support beneath you,

Your chair,

The floor,

The earth itself.

Imagine the support holding you fully,

So you don't have to hold yourself up.

You can simply rest.

With each inhale,

Feel a sense of calm entering your body.

With each exhale,

Release any tension or busyness in the mind.

Inhale calm,

Exhale release.

If your thoughts wander,

Gently guide them back to the breath,

Back to this moment.

There is nothing else you need to do,

Nowhere else you need to be.

Notice the quiet between your breath,

The pauses.

These small spaces of stillness are always here waiting for you.

Allow yourself to rest in them,

Even for just a breath or two.

Exhale release.

Take one more deep inhale,

And a soft complete exhale.

When you are ready,

Gently bring awareness back to your body.

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

And then open your eyes.

Carry this stillness with you into the rest of your day.
