Welcome,
We are going to relax deeply,
Find yourself a place to lie down and it doesn't matter how you are lying,
Could be on the back,
On the belly,
On the side and even during the exercise it's very okay to adjust the body in order to feel very comfortable.
The only thing that you are going to do is listen to the voice and try to experience what the voice is talking about.
And so when we found our position and maybe you have felt that the body adjusts itself naturally in order to arrive at a place,
At a feeling of comfort,
Something that feels very easy,
Nice and pleasurable.
Let's take time to allow that comfort,
That pleasure in comfort and let's allow the sinking into that state.
You can feel that the awareness is going inward,
That we more and more arrive in a feeling of being very close to ourselves,
That the moment is slowing down.
You can allow yourself to feel that you are slowing down,
Maybe noticing in the body that tensions are melting,
That we allow the body to become very soft.
And you can allow the body to melt.
So we have that sense of a ragdoll lying,
All the joints very flexible and easy and the rigidness is dissolving.
And there is even a sense of giving up,
Letting go of resistance.
And if that makes you sigh or take a deep breath,
Then be sure to allow it.
Maybe you even want to try out to take a deep breath and just let go.
There's no need to resist.
We are sinking.
We are melting.
We are dissolving.
And so we find ourselves resting,
Lying,
Being supported by the ground or by the bed or by the sofa and allow that support to enter into the body because you are relaxing.
You're giving the weight and having gravity pull you down.
So let's surrender.
Let's give in to that and we feel the feet and we let them drop and be carried by the ground,
By the sofa,
By the bed,
Whatever you are lying on.
Feel that support and allow your feet to rest there.
And then we extend that awareness to the lower legs and we surrender those lower legs to fall down and be supported.
And we do the same for the knees.
And keep on feeling that support.
And extend it into the thighs.
And then the hips and the pelvis.
Letting go,
Dropping,
And the sense of holding.
You're just letting go.
So the mass of the legs,
The feet,
We can sense that much more clear.
It has weight and that weight is dropping and that weight wants to be very fluid.
It wants to be soft,
Pliable.
And the image of the balloon filled with water pops to mind.
When the balloon is resting on the table for instance,
It adjusts its shape because it's flexible and because it's water.
Maybe that image is a help to you on how to feel and what you feel in order to be very clear about what you're sensing.
So let's take these qualities into the hands and let the hands relax deeply,
Melting.
You notice that the weight is dropping.
The wrists are joining that feeling.
And the lower arms are joining as well.
They're melting.
The elbows are joining in.
Take time to feel the inside of the elbow so that it can open up and the place where the elbow is folding,
That that can relax as well.
Let's extend that feeling into the upper arms.
We feel that the shoulder already wants to join and dropping into the support.
And then extend that feeling into the rib cage.
We take our time.
It's a big area.
Remember feeling like a water balloon dropping on the table.
The shape is elastic and fluid.
And we allow the rib cage to feel in the same way.
And then let's take time to feel the legs and the hips and the feet and the hands and the arms and the shoulders and the rib cage the same way.
Dropping,
Melting,
Very fluid.
Maybe you feel that the belly and the space where the organs are,
That it wants to join in.
And let's allow our awareness and our connection to grow so that all the places of the body that we haven't touched before are joining in.
And of course that also means the neck and the throat.
Allowing it to melt and drop and become fluid.
And the jaw wants to be released.
So melting,
Becoming very soft.
And then the whole of the head is joining in.
Released.
Melting.
So now feel the whole body,
If you weren't already.
Kind of like zooming out and not necessarily paying attention to individual places but the whole body.
And we experience it from the inside as being very relaxed.
Greedy,
Dropping,
Surrendering to gravity.
Resting.
Being supported by the place that you're lying on.
So as we're looking to complete our awareness norm,
We feel a different way around this parts of the body.
And maybe you can feel or experience that you're not necessarily lying on the surface,
But you're actually in the surface.
Because the sinking and the dropping and the releasing,
We experience as more in the surface than on top of it.
If we were to stand with our feet in the mud,
The feet would sink into the mud.
It's kind of like that experience.
So maybe you can feel that you're sinking into the surface.
And it doesn't have to be a lot.
Just see what you can allow for you to really connect and join with the surface that you're lying on,
Whether it is the floor,
Sofa,
Or the bed.
We relax and sink.
And allow yourself to take a lot of comfort,
It being very pleasurable,
So you can enjoy the fact that you're releasing and connecting with the ground.
So you can take all the time you want to stay in this sensation,
Comfortable and pleasurable.
And you can be sure that this is a restorative state,
A healing state.
And if you repeat the exercise more and more,
You will find that it becomes more a part of you.
A relaxed body,
Connected with the ground,
Supported,
Very open,
And that you have the feeling that you're more connected to your body.
