People pleasing isn't an expression of a kindness or love. It usually is a reaction that may have started out of the need to be self-protective but morphs into a habit that feels depleting and unfulfilling. Often times leaving us feeling unseen with needs unmet. Are you ready to heal the habit of people pleasing? Take back your personal power and start to implement healthier habits that support and empower you!

Welcome to Unraveling People Pleasing Guided Meditation.
Today we will begin the process of unraveling our people pleasing habit.
People pleasing is a habit,
A learned pattern,
So it's something that is completely within us to change.
It's never too late to learn and practice new,
Healthier,
More supportive habits and patterns for engaging with the people in our lives.
I invite you to get comfortable sitting or laying down and allowing your eyelids to gently close.
Bring your attention to your breath,
Breathing in,
Drawing in a deep breath,
And breathing out,
Releasing and letting go.
Beginning to go within,
Beginning to let go through breath.
Even if thoughts pop up,
Practice shifting your focus back to your breath.
Gently move your attention away from intrusive thoughts,
Quieting the internal chatter,
Quieting the noise,
Returning your attention back to the flowing and balancing rhythm of breath.
Allow your breath to carry relaxation throughout your body with each deep inhale and full and complete exhale,
Allowing the body to begin to relax,
Beginning to settle into the stillness of meditation.
Breath work and meditation allow us to begin to return to our center.
We are cultivating a safe space within ourselves,
Gently reconnecting back to quiet and calm.
Sometimes our thoughts and daily patterns leave little room for relaxation and calm.
Busyness,
Saying yes to too many things,
Trying to fix and solve problems for other people that creates stress in our system,
Eventually leaving us feeling scattered and depleted.
But a calm,
Safe space within is like entering our inner fortress,
An oasis,
A peaceful and soothing resting place for our body,
Mind and spirit.
For just a moment,
Recall when you felt calm and quiet in the past.
Try to bring up one experience.
Where were you?
What was happening?
How did quiet and calm feel for you?
Allow yourself to tap into that quiet and calm feeling again.
Take a deep cleansing breath into the heart chakra.
Breathe in that quiet and calm,
Allowing the stillness and peace to fill your energetic body.
There is nothing else you need to be attending to,
Fully and completely allowing yourself to experience the memory of calm,
Allowing it to turn into your present state.
On your next exhale,
Imagine releasing any beliefs that you should always be on guard,
Always alert,
Always at attention.
Feel the calm and relaxation entering your physical body.
Notice how your body responds by softening and settling,
Feeling quiet and calm,
Feeling safe and present.
Notice that your thoughts slow as you focus on the quiet of meditation.
When we soothe the body,
The mind calms.
Remember you have this tool whenever you are feeling scattered or depleted.
Know you can simply return to your breath and your memory of calm.
Let's replace old beliefs with a new affirming thought.
Each day I experience more safety and peace in my life.
Take a deep breath in,
Allowing the affirmation to settle.
Continuing to unravel our habit of people pleasing.
People pleasing creates so much tension.
Let's begin to challenge and soothe some of the worry,
Doubt,
And fear that keeps us stuck in the patterns of people pleasing.
We will be doing this without judgment,
Without criticism,
Simply witnessing the tension that is created by our people pleasing.
Like a great bird soaring high in the sky,
Look down at the worry,
Doubt,
And fears from a higher perspective,
Like you are watching it from high above.
The distance between you and the tension seems vast.
You can observe your fears without feeling emotionally activated.
You can simply notice possible events and experiences that have activated your people pleasing in the past.
Take a moment to recall where did those fears come from.
When can you recall them surfacing?
Recall the unconscious or conscious decision you made to pacify,
To help,
To fix,
As a reaction to a particular event or experience.
Remember we are simply noticing,
Observing from the skies.
Keep breathing through any stress,
Reminding yourself that you're not in that moment now.
That moment has passed.
Right now you are safe.
I invite you to place one hand on your heart chakra in the center of your chest and the other hand on your solar plexus chakra a little above your belly button.
Your decision was a response in that moment,
A response your mind and body thought would be the best for you in that moment,
And that's okay.
You were trying to keep yourself safe,
Trying to keep the people you loved safe.
Send love and compassion to that event.
Send love and compassion to the experience and those who are with you.
Send love and compassion to the little you who made that decision.
Softly we're beginning to untangle your belief of needing to do everything from everyone with safety and love.
Know that they are different.
The rational mind knows this,
But your emotional mind can sometimes struggle.
But feeling the warmth and the gentle touch of your hands and your heart and your solar plexus chakra,
This is safety.
This is love.
Allow yourself to feel the unconditional love that is always available to you from you.
Let's replace old beliefs with new affirming thoughts.
In every moment,
I deserve love.
Each day I experience a deep love and appreciation for myself.
Each day I send and receive unconditional love.
Take a deep breath in,
Allowing the affirmation to settle.
Continuing to unravel our habit of people pleasing.
People pleasing blocks our inner knowing and draws us away from meeting our needs.
Today we will begin practicing honoring our inner wisdom,
Recognizing that we all have the tools,
We all can hear messages that we need to navigate relationships simply when we listen to our intuition.
Let's take a moment to begin to witness our divine light within.
Imagine a warm glow where you recognize your divine light within your physical or energetic body like a small candle's flame.
Imagine seeing by the glow of the candle's flame a moment you listen to your intuition and received validation for your inner knowing from the universe that this was the perfect decision for yourself.
How did you recognize your intuition?
Was it something that you knew,
Sensed,
Felt,
Or heard?
How did it feel to follow your inner wisdom and experience a positive outcome?
Feel the strength of following your inner knowing.
Feel the unfolding of events that supported that perfect choice for yourself.
Feel the alignment of making decisions that honor your genuine self-expression.
Allow the light of the candle's flame to radiate growing in size and brilliance expanding throughout your body fully into your space leaving no room for darkness of self-doubt and worry.
Stepping back into your personal power feeling confident and competent feeling whole and complete.
Let's replace old beliefs with new affirming thoughts.
When I make choices and decisions that are fully aligned with my intuition and inner wisdom wonderful things unfold for me in my life.
Take a deep breath in allowing the affirmation to settle.
Remember to give yourself grace with the practice of unraveling people pleasing.
It may be a pattern that you've followed for years or even decades but you can practice to replace people pleasing each day until it becomes a new habit.
A fulfilling and joyful pattern in which we recognize our own needs.
We honor our needs.
We recognize that rescuing others does not help the other person or ourselves.
We understand the difference between an act of love versus an act of people pleasing.
We create a practice of going within returning to our state of inner peace so that we can be guided by intuition to make choices that are supportive leaving us feeling safe,
Whole and protected.
It is now time to release the meditation but know that you always can return to this meditation when you need to and know that you can always return to listening to your inner wisdom starting with the practice of calming the body and mind with breath beginning releasing the work that you've done today.
Returning your attention to your room beginning to feel present and alert.
You can wiggle your fingers and toes to wake up the body and when you're ready in your own time you may open your eyes.
Wishing you strength and full access to your inner wisdom for releasing people pleasing habits so that you can thrive.
