Do you often find yourself feeling unfulfilled in life,
Searching for a sense of purpose or direction?
Through my work with people in personal development,
I know how important it is for people to understand what actually drives them,
Because you can then align your life to what really matters to you.
In this guided meditation,
I'll walk you through four simple steps for how to find what drives you and how to use this to fill your life with purpose.
We'll begin by relaxing the mind,
Then I'll guide you through the discovery process step by step,
Asking you powerful questions for you to reflect on.
So,
Make sure you're in a safe,
Quiet place,
Not driving or using machinery,
So you can relax.
This isn't medical advice or therapy,
This is about empowering your personal growth.
So,
Find a comfortable position,
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and a long breath out.
Good.
Take another deep breath like this and let your breathing settle into its own natural rhythm and allow all your muscles to relax.
Feel the support of the surface beneath you,
Body settling and mind relaxing,
Entering into a peaceful,
Focused state for deep reflection.
Now,
As you hear these questions,
Be mindful of any thoughts and feelings that arise,
Trust your intuition for answers.
For step one,
We'll begin by looking at signs from your past.
When have you felt most fulfilled in life?
What achievement are you most proud of?
What have you prioritised in your life?
Now,
Step two,
Let's look at your present.
What moments in your week,
No matter how small,
Do you find most rewarding?
What are your must-haves in life,
Your non-negotiables?
When do you feel most alive?
Looking back at all your answers so far,
Make a mental note of any common themes that are coming up.
Step three,
Let's turn your attention to the future.
Going forwards,
What matters to you most in life?
What principles do you want your life to represent?
What would you do in life if fear didn't hold you back?
Now,
Think back over any answers that have come up,
Search for similar answers,
Values that keep coming up,
Maybe family,
Learning,
Love,
Achievement,
Self-development,
What values are repeatedly coming up for you?
Now step four,
With those values in mind,
As I ask you the following emotion-based questions,
If any strong feelings arise within you,
Check to see if those values are involved.
What would you fight for?
What are you passionate about?
What do you stand for,
Even when no one is watching?
What excites you in life?
So which value for you was linked to your strongest emotional response?
This is likely a core value for you and an important value to build into any life goals that you make.
You want your inner world to match your outer world.
Well done,
Open your eyes now,
Bringing with you any insights you've had because aligning our core values to our life path is important for that feeling of fulfilment and purpose in life.
