Ever feel like you're doing everything you can,
But life still isn't moving forwards?
Like you're stuck in the same place?
Through coaching people seeking direction in their lives,
There are particular questions that provide a strong starting point to turn things around.
In this guided meditation,
I'll show you how to settle your mind into a calm reflective state.
Then I'll ask five key questions for you to reflect on,
To get your life back on track.
So make sure you're in a safe,
Quiet place,
Not driving or using machinery,
So you can relax.
This isn't medical advice or therapy,
This is about empowering your personal growth.
So,
Make yourself comfortable,
Close your eyes,
And start by taking a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Take another deep breath like this,
Then allow your breath to find its own natural rhythm Settling,
Slowing,
Let your whole body relax,
Feeling into the surface beneath you.
Body relaxing,
Mind relaxing,
Allowing you to reflect from a state of calm self-awareness.
First,
Consider this question,
Paying particular attention to the thoughts and feelings that arise straight away,
So you can be honest with yourself.
What state of mind do you start each day with?
Think about the quality of energy you bring into your working day,
Excitement or boredom,
Determined or fed up.
Our state sets up our whole day,
So what state of mind do you begin the average day with?
Take a few moments to reflect.
Second question,
What life goal are you working towards?
Think about what your next milestone achievement is that you're aiming for,
Because with a clear goal in mind,
Each day's progress feeds into each week,
Each week's progress feeds into each month,
And you steadily get closer to your goal.
So make that goal clearer,
If you're not sure what your goal is,
At least narrow down to an aspect of your life that you want to improve.
Take a few moments to reflect.
Third question,
How much progress have you made to your life goal already?
This is important because it encourages you to focus on the positive,
You're not starting from zero,
You have skills,
Experience,
Ideas,
Strengths.
Take a few moments to reflect on what you already have towards your goal.
Fourth question,
What is one thing you can do within 24 hours to take one step forward?
Think about just one thing that's achievable and will give you that all-important sense of progress,
What will give you a massive positivity boost.
Take a few moments to think of that one step.
Fifth question,
How can you hold yourself accountable?
Basically,
How will you regularly take responsibility for your goal?
On your life path there will naturally be times when you feel less motivated.
In those moments,
What keeps you going?
How do you check progress and keep moving forwards?
Maybe conversations with someone,
We call these accountability buddies.
Maybe regular journaling,
Maybe really small things like an inspirational message on your fridge or a screensaver that reminds you of your goal every time you log on.
Take a few moments to reflect on what can keep you on your path.
Well done,
Now open your eyes,
Bringing with you any insights you've had,
Ready to use your next steps towards change.
