Namaste and blessings.
Today's meditation we simply anchor and ground in the consciousness of being trauma informed.
Simply recognizing that there are many reasons that we may be stressed,
Grieving,
In pain.
And so rather than spiritual bypass,
Metaphysical malpractice,
We give ourselves the space and the capacity to be present with the pain.
To grieve with grace.
To stand in the midst of the suffering.
We breathe.
Bringing to the forefront of our mind whatever that is that we are going through.
And it may not be specifically our experience.
It may be the experience of a friend or family member,
A colleague or co-worker as they go through an experience of grief or sadness,
Trauma,
Suffering.
And so we hold consciousness.
We allow the ease and the grace of being present with them.
No words need be spoken.
Simply being present.
Compassionately listening even when no words are said.
Nonetheless,
Listening to the energy,
Listening to the silence,
Listening to their body language,
Listening heart to heart.
We breathe.
Simply feeling the rise and the fall of the chest and the abdomen,
We breathe.
There is no need to struggle.
There is no need to strain.
There is no need to push the grief,
The sadness,
The stress.
There is no need to be like Sisyphus where we roll it up the hill only for it to come right back down to repeat it again.
Rather,
We sit with the boulder,
Not moving it.
Simply being present with it.
And in the space of being present,
We realize there is nothing that we need to fix.
Because oftentimes when we,
Ourselves or someone close to us is grieving,
We want to fix the grief so that it is no more.
We want to fix the problem so it is no more.
We want solutions and answers.
And sometimes the solution and the answer is in the question itself.
It is in the breath itself.
It is in the mystery itself.
And as it is often said,
When you seek it,
You cannot find it.
And so in this moment,
We don't seek.
We simply sit.
We simply breathe.
We simply are present.
No seeking,
No searching,
No looking for.
Just be.
Just be.
And in the just being,
There is no space for judgment about how we are being.
Just be.
There is no criticism for how we are breathing.
Just breathe.
Just be.
Just breathe.
And in the just being and the just breathing,
We release the guilt,
The shame,
The judgment,
The criticism.
The sky does not criticize the tree.
The grass does not judge the sky.
The sun does not condemn the rain.
They simply be.
Who?
They simply be who and what they are.
The sun,
The sky,
The tree,
The grass,
The rose,
The rainbow,
Life itself.
Just being.
And there is only one life and that life is the divine.
It is the universe in ecstatic expression and that life is your life,
My life right now.
So if the sun can just be,
Then so can we.
If the sky can simply be,
Then so can we.
Simply be and simply breathe.
Just be.
Be with the grief,
The trauma,
The pain,
Cry,
Yell,
Vent,
And breathe.
Scream and breathe.
Curse and breathe.
Curl into a tight ball and breathe.
Turn off your phone.
Breathe.
Turn off the lights.
Breathe.
Sit in the silence alone if you must.
Breathe.
This inhale,
Be present.
And this exhale,
Be present.
And be.
For in the breathing and in the being,
We are healing.
Even when we may not feel it,
It is occurring.
We don't feel the oxygen.
We simply inhale and the oxygen is there and the oxygen does to our bodies that which oxygen does,
Nourishes and feeds.
But we don't feel the oxygen.
We need not feel the healing.
It is there.
It is present.
It is in the breath.
It is in the being.
And so we be and we breathe.
We be and we breathe.
We be and we breathe.
And so it is.
Blessings.
