Welcome to day 5 of this meditation journey.
Sitting in a comfortable position,
Cross-legged,
Or if you're sitting on a chair,
Making sure that your feet are planted on the ground beneath you.
Breathing in through the nose,
Filling in your belly,
Your chest,
All the way up to your head.
Exhale out.
Let it go.
Couple more times,
Just like that.
Allow your breath to be inwards to your spirit,
To your soul,
To that inner groove.
Checking in with yourself.
How are you right now on a scale of 1 to 10?
What's your energy level like?
10 being so energetic I can climb a mountain,
And 1 being only thing on that scale.
How's your hunger level?
Your thirst level?
Inviting a breath in just to acknowledge how you are right now.
Not trying to change it,
Not trying to fight it,
Not trying to resist anything.
Just acknowledging,
Accepting,
Being with it,
Staying in it.
Beautiful.
The purpose of this meditation today is not just to repeat and say these affirmations or mantras out loud,
But to feel it from the inside out.
Before we begin,
I'd like to share a quote by Brene Brown.
I don't have to chase extraordinary moments to find happiness.
It's right in front of me.
If I'm paying attention and practicing gratitude,
You may repeat these affirmations to yourself out loud or silently.
Big breath in,
Big breath out.
Thank you for my ability to breathe right now.
Breathe in fresh air,
Oxygenate my cells so they're healthy.
Thank you for my bones and my muscles to get me where I need to go,
Where I would like to go.
Allows me to sit,
To stand,
To dance,
To hug others.
Thank you.
Thank you for the ability for me to hear my favorite song.
Thank you for the ability for me to sing my favorite song.
I'm so grateful for the clothes on my body right now.
All it took from picking the cotton to this creation that I'm wearing that keeps me safe,
Keeps me warm,
Keeps my skin protected.
I have food,
Water,
And security in my life.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you for my early morning coffee,
Tea,
Or juice.
It reminds me that it can be the small things that create the most joy.
Thank you.
I'm so grateful for the beauty of the nature that's all around me.
Thank you to all the trees,
To the sun,
The moon.
We wouldn't be here without them.
And as you're repeating these statements to yourself,
Notice how you're feeling in the body.
And if anything wants to arise,
Any emotions,
Let them.
Thank you for my memories.
I am so grateful for all my past experiences.
I recognize that it's from my past that I learn.
Thank you.
I'm so grateful for all the people that surround me because they continue to teach me more and more about myself and what is important to me.
Every person I meet can teach me something.
I'm grateful for their wisdom.
Thank you.
I'm so grateful for children,
For kids.
Being around them,
It helps me develop patience,
Kindness,
And playfulness.
Thank you.
Thank you for this day.
I'm thankful that each day I get to start anew.
And today,
I recognize that everything may not have gone as I planned,
But there was still plenty of good today.
I'm so grateful for my inner strength.
I'm grateful that I can cry and laugh all in a day.
I'm grateful of all the things that I can do today that I couldn't do in the past.
I'm grateful for all that I receive.
I'm open to receive.
Big breath in,
Big breath out.
I'm grateful for apologies and the closeness that is felt when making amends.
I'm grateful for my body,
My mind,
My senses.
I'm grateful for all the support that flows into my life.
I'm so grateful for this present moment right now.
Thank you for all the present difficulties,
As I realize that they are hidden gifts for growing,
Maturing,
And expanding.
I know that all of this is for my own highest good and evolution as a heart-centered being on this planet.
Thank you.
How do you feel right now?
Notice this is your natural state.
Set the intention to carry out this feeling towards the rest of this day,
This week,
This month.
Know that as you practice gratitude,
You are swimming in these higher vibration of emotions.
And through these high vibrational emotions,
Life becomes easier.
We attract more positive people,
Opportunities.
We make better decisions.
We feel happier and more content.
Slowly,
You may bring both the palms of your hands together in prayer position,
Anjali Mudra,
Thumbs pressing into your sternum.
Breathe in,
Opening up the chest.
And as you exhale,
Allow your shoulders to soften.
Allow that sensation to melt down your spine into your lower back.
One more time,
Just like that,
Breathing in,
Pushing into the sternum.
And exhaling out.
And after you complete the second exhale,
Drop your chin down to your chest,
To your heart center,
And say thank you to yourself for being here,
For doing this meditation,
For living life in the best way you know how.
Thank you,
Thank you,
Thank you.
And when you feel complete,
You may slowly and gently open up your eyes with a smile.
I'm so grateful for you for making it this far.
Have a wonderful day.
With love,
Rae.
