Hello namaste,

My name is Rei,

Your transformational soul coach and I am so happy you are here with me as we practice gratitude for the breakdowns that lead to breakthroughs.

Begin by finding a quiet space where you can sit comfortably and undisturbed.

Close your eyes and take several deep,

Calming breaths.

As you inhale,

Feeling your belly and chest expand,

Hold the breath at the top,

Place a gentle awareness between your eyebrows and very gently release your breath,

Exhaling out through the nose or the mouth,

Whatever feels good,

Comforting to you.

And breathe just like that two more times,

Inhaling in,

Holding the breath at the top,

Placing a gentle awareness in the point between your eyebrows,

Your third eye,

Your pineal gland and when you cannot hold on any longer,

Gently release your breath,

Allowing all the muscles in your body to relax,

Feeling the solidity of the earth beneath you.

As you settle into your own presence and awareness,

Bring to mind,

Visualize,

Imagine a lotus flower,

A lotus flower which must rise through dark,

Sticky mud before blossoming beautifully on the water's surface.

This is a natural symbol of purity and rebirth,

How we too emerge stronger from the murkiness and stickiness of life.

Next,

Bring to mind,

Visualize,

Imagine a mighty oak tree which starts as a vulnerable,

Tiny acorn and how with time it faces all the elements,

Wind,

Rain,

Storms,

Only to root itself deeper,

Growing sturdier and more majestic.

And lastly,

I invite you to visualize the metamorphosis of a caterpillar slowly turning into a butterfly,

How this tiny,

Squiggly,

Squirming thing that moves so slowly,

Is so fragile,

Transforms into this cocoon and needs to experience a certain level of struggle.

First,

It completely disintegrates and turns into mush,

It turns into nothing in that cocoon and then it grows its new form and has to push and struggle its way out into light and freedom.

This is the nature of life.

The nature of life is that we must be challenged in some way in order to grow,

In order to evolve,

And so I invite you right now,

In your awareness,

To bring to mind a personal challenge that you're currently facing.

It can be small,

It can be big,

Maybe it has to do with a habit that you're trying to break or put into place,

Perhaps a situation with a loved one or your workplace or the economy.

And notice as this challenge arises,

What do you feel in your body?

What do you notice is happening in your body?

Observe whatever is arising with the neutrality of a witness,

A watcher,

Acknowledging the presence of this challenge in your life without any judgment,

Simply observing.

Maybe there are some feelings of shame or guilt,

Maybe there are some feelings of not being good enough,

Not having the right skills or not being the right time.

And rather than pushing these things away,

I invite you to allow yourself to feel these emotions,

These sensations fully,

Understand its depth,

Understand that emotions cannot harm you,

That emotions are simply energy in motion and a huge part of being able to work with these energies and work with our emotions is to simply not engage with them.

And that is what we are practicing right now.

Deep breath in,

Gentle breath out,

We're not running away from our emotions and feelings,

We're not suppressing them or diverting,

Distracting ourselves.

And just like how a seed must experience certain difficulties in order to nourish its growth,

Expansion and resilience,

I invite you to check in with what is the wisdom that this challenge is offering to you right now.

What opportunity of growth and evolution is this challenge opening up inside you?

Big breath in here,

Slow exhale out as you visualize,

Imagine,

Sense,

Feel this challenge that is in your awareness right now,

Not as an obstacle but a path,

A part of your path that is only refining you,

Just as how pressure creates diamonds.

And maybe there's some fear here,

Maybe there's some self-judgment,

Recognize these feelings and use every exhale to release them from your body and being.

And as you release any sense of fear and self-doubt,

Self-judgment,

See if you can stay and enrich,

Amplify with your breath these strengths entering your core,

Taking root like the mighty oak tree or opening up like the lotus to sunlight.

Can you amplify with your breath this resilience that we all carry?

This nature's resilience that resides in each and every one of us,

Perhaps visualizing it like a warm golden white light entering your body,

Letting this warmth,

This strength permeate inside all the corners of your being,

From the top of your head till the tips of your fingers and toes.

Another big breath in here and out.

With each and every breath strengthening this bond between your newfound wisdom and your ability to face challenge,

Face adversity with grace and gratitude.

And now bringing to mind all of the challenges you've experienced in the past,

Recognizing how they have shaped you into who you are today.

Recognizing that there are no accidents,

There are no coincidences,

That every single thing that occurs,

Especially those challenges,

Are only further bringing you closer,

Deeper to your true authentic self that is liberated,

Wild and free,

Unconfined from the judgments of society,

From the norms that humans have made.

Your soul is beyond all of that.

Your soul knows the truth and recognize that you always have access to this truth.

Gently placing a hand on the center of your chest,

Your beautiful heart,

Chakra,

Anahata,

And breathe in deeply into your heart space.

Feeling your chest expand and as you breathe out affirming to yourself that anytime I experience a challenge,

It is not here to break me.

It is only here to mold me and shape me into the true light that I am,

The true gift that I am.

Into this unique essence that only I carry in this world,

In this life,

Because no one is me.

I am unique.

My experience is completely unique.

And so are the gifts that come through my experiences.

Slowly releasing the hand back on your lap if it was on your chest,

Shifting your posture ever so slightly to bring a sense of dignity,

A sense of strength,

Courage,

Bravery to face your day,

Face your week,

Face any obstacle that comes your way.

Slowly bring your awareness and attention into the room,

Into the space that you are sitting in.

Check in with how you feel now compared to before sitting for this meditation.

And when you feel complete,

Slowly opening up your eyes,

Coming back into the here and now.

Thank you so much for sitting with me today and if you enjoyed this,

If you'd like to share the wisdom that came through for you,

I'd love to read your reflections in the comment below.
