Welcome to day three of this guided meditation journey.
I'm so happy you're here.
Today,
We will be exploring equanimity and what that feels like in our bodies.
Find yourself in a comfortable seated position,
Head stacked over your heart,
Heart stacked over your hips,
Breathing up and down your spine,
Feeling a sense of lengthening.
Tapping into this sense of dignity and respect for yourself and everything around you.
Now,
Together,
We'll be inhaling for four,
Holding for four,
Exhaling for four,
And holding for four,
All through the nose.
Are you ready?
Breathing in,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And out,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Breathe in,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold it right at the top,
Just like that,
And out,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And hold it completely empty of breath.
Good.
In,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four,
And out,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Hold,
Very good.
Continue breathing in that rhythm,
In that flow,
In that pattern.
And as you're holding your breath,
Whether it's after the inhalation or after the exhalation,
Notice how it feels to be still,
To be in that space of complete stillness.
It's almost like a mini death.
Is there a sense of slowing down?
Is there a sense of relaxation,
Deeper relaxation,
Entering your body and your being?
Are your thoughts still wandering,
Or have they become more silent?
Beautiful.
So challenges,
Obstacles,
Pain,
Disappointment,
All of these things are necessary in order to propel us into further evolution as a heart-centered human on this planet.
The issue is we tend to distract ourselves and keep ourselves busy,
Go into comparison,
Blame,
Victim mode,
And all this creates resistance.
And you know how the saying goes,
What you resist persists.
So let's get into this.
Say yes out loud or silently,
And notice the sensations in your body.
Notice the feedback in your body.
Is there a subtle softening or opening now?
To contrast,
Say no.
How is that?
Can you observe what has happened to the energy?
Did it go out or did it go in?
Did it get bigger or did it get smaller?
In order to flow with life,
We want to be more yes in all levels.
So how can you be a bit more yes in the body?
How can you be more accepting in the body?
In saying this out loud,
Everything changes.
Right now,
This is how it is.
Everything changes.
And right now,
This is how it is.
Notice any resistance,
If there is any,
To the present moment,
Any tension or spacing out.
Bring yourself back to the breath.
Good.
Imagine now someone you are caught up with or trying to change,
A situation that perhaps is not going your way,
Or a relationship,
Or conversation with someone or person that you're trying to change.
A lot of times it's our parents.
Bring them to your mind's eye.
Notice how this makes you feel.
And say to yourself,
They are how they are and I accept them.
Or the situation is how it is and I accept it.
Notice how this feels in your body.
Notice how it feels to just acknowledge that you cannot control anybody,
Anything that is happening outside of you,
That is all an illusion.
The only thing you do have control over is yourself,
Your experience,
Thoughts,
Your words,
Your behaviors,
Your attitude,
And your actions.
Can we breathe into this feeling even more,
Amplifying it?
Know that as you're acknowledging and inviting more acceptance into the situation,
You're also bringing in more flow into your life.
Flow that allows everything to happen in the bestest of ways for your highest good.
Breathing in here to thank yourself for your dedication and set the intention to take this into your day,
Into your week,
Into this month.
Deep breath in here,
In through the nose and very slowly out through the mouth.
Couple more times just like that,
Using that exhale to release any sort of achiness and stuckness that you may be feeling about this person or this situation.
It could even be about yourself.
Slowly and gently,
Taking both your hands and placing it on your heart,
Feeling your heartbeat,
This part of you that holds all the keys,
All the answers,
This endless resource of love,
Compassion,
Understanding.
By holding this area,
Know,
Feel that you can access this resource whenever you like,
However you like.
Affirm that to yourself.
Trust that,
Beautiful.
When you feel complete,
Slowly and gently open up your eyes with a smile.
Thank yourself for dedicating time to your practice.
Thank you so much.
With love,
Rae.
