Everyone

Use this guided visualisation to build focus, calm, and clarity when tasking. The meditation is ideally listened to while using an essential oil blend for the same purpose, such as lavender, lemon, and/or rosemary. The session is designed to support students facing assessment time, but the wording is suitable for anyone working towards a goal.

Welcome to my aroma meditation for focus calm and clarity.

If you are using an essential oil have that ready.

Perhaps rosemary for focus,

Lemon for clarity,

Lavender for calm or even a blend of all three.

Apply some to a tissue or a cotton pad,

A diffuser bracelet or just gently inhale from your diffuser.

Maybe you are wearing the aroma after applying the diluted oils from a rollerball.

Whatever it is these essential oils are going to complement this aroma meditation beautifully.

If you don't have the oils that doesn't matter.

They would just simply enhance this process.

So let's sit together comfortably.

Soften your gaze and close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in,

Drawing in that scent and exhale slowly.

Allow your attention to rest on the aroma and within inhaling inviting clarity.

With each exhale release any tension or distraction.

Breathe in,

Feel alert,

Breathe out,

Feel calm.

Notice that with every breath you invite these oils into your body,

Every part of your body.

It enters your heart space filling your lungs,

Spreads throughout your chest and down into your abdomen.

It forms both of your legs reaching downwards until it reaches into each of your toes.

It spreads up your back and across your shoulders,

Down each arm,

Into your wrists,

Hands,

Fingers.

It reaches up into your neck,

Your head.

It fills your brain and spreads across your face.

And as these oils permeate every cell in your body,

You embrace opening,

Opportunity,

Letting go of tension and stress.

Firm in the belief in your skills,

Having faith as you grow in your knowledge.

And now repeat silently,

I am focused,

I am present,

I bring my calm attention to what it is I am focusing on.

Feel that mind sharpening,

Your breath steading as you enter a state of clear,

Calm concentration.

And stay here for a few more breaths.

Each time your mind wanders,

You can bring it back to the present moment and what it is that you are focusing on.

And when you are ready,

Gently open your eyes,

Return to the room and the space that you're in,

Ready to face that task that you are going to remain alert and focused on.

I wish you every success.
