If you're struggling with procrastination and you have some big deadline,

You just can't focus because there's too many distractions,

Then my favorite technique for changing your state from multitasking mode of beta to single focus mode of alpha is called square breathing.

And if you look it up you'll actually see it's beginner meditation for children.

So if you're having trouble getting your kids to focus too,

Then you might want to try square breathing,

Triangle breathing,

Star breathing,

Keep it fresh.

They all have the same basic principle in common,

Which is inhale,

Hold,

Exhale,

Hold.

And it actually only takes about two and a half minutes.

So if you've got a couple of minutes,

Let's do this together.

Let's begin with a shoulder shrug and a couple of deep breaths.

Now what I'd like you to do is look around the room for the brightest color that's not a light.

Any bright color will do.

And when you find that color,

Lock eyes with it and dim your eyelids as you breathe into my count.

Two,

Three,

Four,

And hold.

Two,

Three,

Four,

And out.

And hold.

I didn't know about the meaning of more saliva in the mouth described st the end. I like tying box breathing to alpha single focus state. This was calming, centering yet motivating
