Hi,

I'm Alice Langholt and welcome to Start Your Day with Confidence.

This track is a little help with boosting your confidence at the beginning of the day.

And it doesn't take long at all to do.

In fact,

It is a simple technique that actually primes your mind for confidence.

So here's what you need to do.

And I'd like you to just do it with me right now,

Okay?

First of all,

Stand up.

Yes,

Stand up.

Stand up straight and tall,

Please.

All right,

Very good.

Next,

Put your hands on your hips with your elbows facing out to either side and stick your chest out and put your shoulders back.

This is a confident posture.

Now there are other postures you can do that are confident postures.

This one just seems to be very easy.

But if you want,

You can even change it up and make your hands into fists.

Put one up in the air and tuck the other one by your armpit.

That is like you're Superman about to take off.

A superhero pose is a confident pose and the mind will recognize confident body posture and translate it into confident feeling.

Now here's the magic that makes that transformation happen.

All you need to do is hold that confident pose.

Just hold it for one full minute.

All right,

You're in your confident pose.

Make a confident face to go along with it.

And I will give you one minute of music now.

I'm just checking in to remind you keep holding that pose.

Make sure you are still holding it just as strong as you were before.

You've got 15 more seconds.

Okay,

Now relax.

You can put your arms down.

Give your shoulders a little roll.

Check in with yourself about how you feel.

This is a scientifically proven method for increasing confidence.

In fact,

A research project was done in which people were interviewing for a job and half of them were told to do this exercise before they went into their interview.

The other half were told to just sit quietly and try to relax.

After the interview,

It was statistically higher for those who had had the confidence posture beforehand to not only feel confident during their interview,

But to actually land the job.

So I'd like you to take this tool and use it.

Land confidently in the morning before you leave the house or before you go to anything that you feel a little bit nervous about,

Whether it's an interview or a meeting or a proposal or a conversation.

Give yourself the boost of confidence that doesn't require more than one minute.
