This is a Buddhist-style mettā or "loving kindness" practice developed by Recovery Dharma as a means to cultivate one of the four "heart states" or "sublime abodes" that enable and orient one towards a positive direction. While it is intended to cultivate positive feelings in those in recovery from addictions, it is suitable as a general daily practice.
