Welcome to this healing meditation,

Accessing the joy and playfulness within.

To begin with,

Find a comfortable position,

Sitting or lying down.

You may want to place your hands in your lap or at your sides,

And gently close your eyes.

Begin with your attention directed outwards,

Noticing the sounds around you.

Concentrate on all the things you can hear,

And gradually turn your attention inward now,

Turning your attention away from your surroundings,

In towards yourself.

Focus on your physical self,

Noticing how you're feeling,

Observing.

Focus even more intently now.

Focus on your breathing,

Observe your breath without trying to change anything.

Bring your attention deeply inward,

All the way to the core of your body.

Notice how your stomach moves in and out with each breath you take.

Feel the movement of the core of your body,

Ever so slightly moving with each breath you take.

Focus completely on your core.

I invite you now to slow down the rhythm of your breathing.

So on your next inhale,

You're breathing on a count of five,

And exhaling on a count of five.

Notice the effects of this on your body,

Allowing the tension to leave your body,

Relaxing your muscles one by one,

Starting from your feet,

Your ankles,

Your legs,

Your hips,

Relaxing your belly,

Your back,

Relaxing your shoulders,

Your arms,

Wrists and fingers,

Easing all the tension in your neck and your head,

So that you can rest calmly now,

Becoming relaxed.

Now that you're starting to become more relaxed,

Visualize a beautiful bubble of colored light being placed around you.

Notice the color and just feel that this bubble is here to protect you from any interferences that would alter this healing.

Now that you are centered,

I would like to invite and bring forward a part of you that perhaps is feeling stressed,

Is feeling anxious or overwhelmed.

Perhaps this is a part of you that is always worried about what's going to happen,

That is concerned about tomorrow,

That likes things to be done a certain way or within a certain time,

That seems to be rushing always from one thing to the other,

Like its life depends on it.

Place your palm face up on your lap and invite this part on your right hand,

So you can look at it.

This is about getting to know this part better,

Not about judging it,

Not about criticizing it.

Use your five senses to receive information about this part.

How does it look like?

Does it look like a version of you or something else?

How is it moving?

Is it rushing or is it quiet?

How is it feeling?

What is it afraid of?

What does it want?

What does it need?

Receive all the information you need to understand it better.

Now that you have gathered enough information about this part,

I invite you now to just come back to your center.

We're going to revisit this part a little later,

Acknowledging that this is a part of you and that by willing to look at it,

You are already bringing healing to your core.

Let's now focus on becoming more playful.

Playfulness is a trait that we all have inside,

But for many of us,

Playfulness has been pushed aside as we place our awareness on all the challenges,

The worries that are outside of ourselves.

The ability to be playful is important because it allows us to experience fun and joy.

Becoming more playful also allows us to respond to challenges with humor and lightheartedness instead of always being serious or becoming defensive.

Being playful is possible,

Whether you have never been very playful before or whether you used to be playful but have lost touch with this quality.

I'm now inviting you to look deep within your core and reach out and access this part of you that has always been connected to joy,

To playfulness,

This childlike energy that is bathing in the present moment into the rays of the sunshine.

Imagine this part of you on your left hand.

How does it look like?

How does that feel like to be playful and joyful?

You may see this part of you as a young child,

Carefree,

Playful.

Let yourself be transported,

Imagining all the details.

Let yourself bathe into that energy,

Allowing each and every one of yourselves to remember that innate essence,

That innate gift.

Now I would like you to invite the playful part of you to meet the more serious part of you and notice,

Observe what happens.

See the conversation taking place between them.

Receive all the wisdom from this exchange.

And perhaps that serious part needs a little help.

Perhaps the serious part needs the playful part to hold its hand and take it out in the beautiful and warm sunshine.

Or perhaps go play together in the fields or by the beach,

Wherever your heart is taking them.

See how they can find more balance together.

And let the playful part reassure the serious part.

I am now going to invoke the universal intelligence,

Energy of all that is,

To instill the feeling of joy as well as the following downloads through each and every one of your cells,

Down to the molecule,

Down to the atoms,

On all four levels and in every area of your life in the highest and best way.

All you have to do is say yes in your mind to receive.

I know what it feels like to live in the present moment.

I know how to return home to my heart.

I understand that joy is always accessible within me and know how to perceive it in my life.

I know how to allow more playfulness in my life.

I have permission to be playful.

I know how to have fun.

I can be serious at times and playful at times.

I know what it feels like to feel light-hearted.

I release the grip,

The control,

The need to know that prevents me from staying in the present moment and receiving all the treasures of this life.

Thank you.

It is done,

It is done,

It is done.

Now that you have received these downloads,

Visualize yourself accessing all the joy and bathing in this beautiful,

Vibrant,

Orange and yellow light.

Imagine accessing the things that you held yourself back from doing.

Imagine the things that you will do from now on as you allow yourself to be more playful.

And think about other playful things that you would like to do.

Think about a situation that is difficult or stressful,

Perhaps a time where you are criticized by someone else.

Imagine how you will handle this situation in a playful way,

Non-defensive,

Not needing to be completely serious or to take it seriously.

Imagine how the scenario would go if you responded in a playful way.

Now take a few moments to simply receive,

Allow,

Relax,

Absorbing the energies,

The ideas you've been focusing on,

Seeing yourself in this new light,

Feeling these new feelings,

Bringing joy to the very core of your heart.

When you're ready,

Gradually reawaken your mind and your body by turning your attention from inward to outward.

And focus on your breathing,

Noticing each breath again.

Slowly turn your attention to the environment outside of yourself,

Feeling your clothing against your body,

Hearing the sounds around you,

Becoming aware of the room you're in.

Open your eyes and sit quietly for a few moments,

Becoming more aware of your surroundings,

Feeling grateful for this experience and the gift that was shared,

Knowing you can repeat this meditation anytime you feel like the serious part is taking over again.

When you are completely awake and alert,

You can return to your usual activities,

Taking your playful inner self with you.
