The changing of a season might bring you a sense of disequilibrium. Or maybe you're working on feeling grounded, with steady energy. This meditation is dedicated to helping you feel calm, capable, and supported during this fraught time. I recently heard someone challenge the saying "you can't pour from an empty cup." Her point was along the lines of saying that she was not going to pour from her cup at all anymore. She was going to fill her cup up so much that it would spill over onto the saucer and that is what she was going to give to people. No more filling up the cup just to empty it out, just to have to refill it again. We are going to stay full and share from the excess, from the overflow. Never from self-sacrifice again.

Welcome to your guided meditation,

All about finding balance in your life.

I invite you to get settled.

Close your eyes.

And let's get started with a couple deep breaths.

In through the nose.

Out through the mouth.

In through the nose.

Out through the mouth.

Keep breathing deeply and slowly.

As you begin to scan your body,

Starting at your head.

Just noticing what's there.

And if you happen to find discomfort or tension.

I invite you to soften and relax that part of your body.

Allowing your eyes to rest heavy in their sockets.

Your tongue and your jaw to relax as well.

Find more space and ease.

In your neck and your shoulders.

Finding a sense of expansion across your heart space.

And as you continue your scan,

Continue relaxing.

Notice the support that you're receiving from the surface that you're touching.

That you're resting on.

If you can.

Bring your awareness.

To the ground beneath you.

And notice the support that it is providing you as well.

Take a deep breath in.

Sigh it all out.

And feel the tension release.

From this space.

Of support.

Feeling the support of the earth below you.

I invite you.

To imagine.

Energy.

Starting at the crown of your head.

Soaking down through your body.

And infusing you.

The calm.

Easy sense.

Of peace.

And perspective.

Feel this light.

Connect.

Through your third eye.

And down into your throat.

You notice.

It creates some space in your throat.

Space for communication.

To not be rushed.

Or reactive.

But to come from this calm grounded energy.

You feel the energy move down into your heart space.

And you notice even more expansion there.

Providing you.

With the capacity.

For compassion.

To give others the benefit of the doubt.

And to see.

What's truly important.

And worth your time.

With your energy stable and balanced.

Your heart and your throat aligned.

You find.

That your mind.

Is more stable.

And you can be more discerning.

About what you turn your attention to.

And you find that your energy is protected.

As long as you stay.

In this aligned.

Grounded state.

This light and this energy.

Continues down.

Into your solar plexus.

Through your sacral chakra.

And lands.

In your root.

Here you feel.

Steadiness.

And a settling.

Gentle.

Landing.

In your own truth.

And your own power.

Imagine if you will.

Roots.

Growing.

From this center of stability.

And connecting you.

To the resources in the ground below you.

The knowing.

Lands within you.

That.

At any given moment.

You can turn over energy.

That is no longer serving you.

To the earth.

And it will be transmuted.

And used.

For someone else's higher good.

This is the source.

Of the balance that you seek.

This divine alignment.

Inside you.

And your connection.

To the earth.

That supports you.

From this space.

You can handle anything.

That comes your way.

And stay.

In alignment.

Be in integrity with yourself.

And flourish.

Take another deep breath in.

Side all out.

You can stay here as long as you'd like.

If your meditation feels complete.

I invite you.

To take one more deep breath with me.

In through the nose.

Hold it at the top.

Soaking in.

One last moment.

This feeling of stability.

And then when you're ready.

Sighing it out.

Bringing some gentle movement.

Into your fingers and toes.

Perhaps stretching.

And if you feel called.

Grab your journal.

And just note for yourself.

What's present now.

That wasn't.

There wasn't available to you.

Before spending this time.

In contemplation.

Remembering that you can always return.

To this feeling.

As often as you'd like.
